"What, what do you mean, Delia? Is Melody actually this Dashiell?"

"No," I shook my head.

Actually, when I first noticed how similar they looked, I instinctively considered that possibility too.

But I quickly ruled it out.

"Their birthplaces and dates are completely different. According to the timeline, Dashiell should be two to three years older than Melody."

"Plus, we have Melody's full identity records. She grew up with her grandmother. Though they were poor, she always went to school on scholarships. There are relevant documents for every year."

Besides, Melody is already dead.

She can't come back to kill Holt.

The young officer flipped through Melody's file: "Melody was a pitiful girl too. Her parents abandoned her when she was very young. Her grandmother was her only family. A year after Melody passed away, her grandmother also died."

I sighed, "Holt's targets are usually girls like this - from broken homes, lacking love and social experience..."
