Chapter 7

The police quickly determined the cause of Conrad's death and discovered five bodies in his basement.

"A total of five male bodies."

However, this part of the news wasn't made public.

The news only reported that Conrad, an entrepreneur who had made significant contributions to New York's development, died at home from a heart attack.

"Do you know what's unique about these five bodies?"

The wife suddenly said:

"I think what you said before about there being no case without a body makes sense.

"Look, before these bodies were found, who would have known they were dead?

"But do you know what's distinctive about the identities of these bodies?"

These five bodies were in varying states of decomposition, some having been dead for many years, others for just a few.

But the police quickly identified the victims, all because they found a notebook in Conrad's house.

Inside were six photographs of men.
