Chapter 75: Someone Comes Looking
"An exorcist from Yan Dynasty?"
At the headquarters of the Holy Order of the British Empire.
The director of the Royal Protestant Knights Order, the head of the Hellsing family, Integra Fairbrook Wingates Hellsing, looked at Alucard, who had just walked out of the wall. What he had just said left Integra perplexed.
She was Alucard's master and a member of the Round Table Conference. As a descendant of the famous vampire hunter Van Helsing, her family had been monster hunters for generations.
"Yes, a rather interesting exorcist. His strength should be quite formidable."
Alucard spoke with interest. He wanted to test if Chang Wei could kill him, so he deliberately provoked him. However, Chang Wei simply ignored him and left.
Integra lit a thin cigar, took a puff, and then discarded it.
Exorcists capable of intriguing Alucard were rare. Even the "Angel of Death," Walter, was once referred to by Alucard as just a kid.
"An exorcist capable of piquing Lord Alucard's interest? Miss, should we investigate his background?"
Standing beside her was an old butler wearing a monocle, exuding the elegance of a British gentleman. He was none other than Walter, the former ace of the trash disposal squad—the "Angel of Death."
However, Walter had now entered his twilight years, with strength far inferior to his prime. He could no longer slice through buildings with wires or even deal with a few shield-bearing ghouls.
"Investigate him. Find out why he has come to Britain."
Integra nodded. Her loyalty to Britain was absolute, and she would mercilessly eliminate any threats to the nation.
"As you wish, Lord Alucard, please describe the exorcist's appearance in detail."
Walter calmly addressed Alucard.
He needed to ensure that this sudden appearance of an exorcist would not disrupt their plans. If it was just an ordinary exorcist, that would be fine, but one capable of attracting Alucard's attention would undoubtedly be extraordinary.
Alucard described Chang Wei's appearance and specifically mentioned that he had the ability to disguise himself, though it was unclear if it was magic or a special skill.
"Have there been too many vampire incidents recently?"
After Walter left to investigate, Integra frowned and addressed Alucard.
"Just more trash appearing."
Alucard replied indifferently. Tonight's vampire priest was merely an unremarkable vampire. Alucard longed for a powerful vampire who could truly fight him.

Meanwhile, Chang Wei, accompanied by a still-shaken policewoman, Seras, arrived at a restaurant for a meal.
"No, I need to report this to my superiors!"
Seras, initially dazed and eating alongside him, suddenly stood up and declared.
"Calm down, Officer. You've seen that officially sanctioned vampire just now. It's clear that someone will handle the situation there, so there's no need for you to report it."
Chang Wei smiled as he spoke. He had no particular feelings for Seras. Although her figure was alluring and her looks above average, her somewhat goofy personality left Chang Wei entirely uninterested.
It was strange, considering he felt at least some reaction to Jill and Alice.
Admittedly, after transitioning from a 2D anime character to a real person, Seras's flawless skin, impeccable features, and ideal figure made her far more attractive than Jill and Alice. Yet, Chang Wei remained indifferent—what a shame!
Such a beautiful woman, but unfortunately, she's a complete goofball.
She could be treated like a daughter or a pet but definitely not a romantic partner.
Chang Wei saved Seras from becoming a vampire purely out of pity and because he found her endearing.
Despite her tragic background, she grew into a responsible police officer—a good person who made Chang Wei feel a twinge of guilt.
Considering the world's complex and dangerous nature, Chang Wei decided not to reap too many benefits yet. Going overboard might actually lead to divine intervention. Why not lie low, move on to other worlds, and then return to harvest later? By then, he could even storm heaven and claim the angels' thrones!
"But... my colleagues…"
Seras trailed off. Her colleagues' deaths would likely be classified as accidents. After all, she had never heard of vampires before today.
Seras felt a pang of grief, unsure of what to do.
"Oh, hello there, sir!"
At this moment, a boy with cat ears, dressed in a Hitler Youth uniform, suddenly appeared out of nowhere.
Upon spotting Chang Wei, his eyes lit up, and he greeted him cheerfully.
Seras was startled. How did this person suddenly appear?
Chang Wei, however, wasn't surprised. He had already deduced that his presence would prompt Alucard to report to Integra, possibly attracting Walter's attention.
Walter had long been in contact with the Major's forces; otherwise, he wouldn't have deliberately withdrawn Hellsing's guards, allowing Integra's uncle to pursue her. This, in turn, forced her to the basement where Alucard was sealed, ultimately unsealing him.
Walter had plotted for years to kill Alucard, and both he and the Major's forces would not tolerate unexpected disruptions.
To locate and intercept Chang Wei as quickly as possible, they could only rely on one person: Second Lieutenant Schrödinger.
Schrödinger had no combat capabilities, with physical strength equivalent to a normal boy his age. However, he possessed a unique ability.
His true nature was akin to the concept of Schrödinger's cat in physics. By observing himself, he could instantly alter his location, whether in a real place or a person's mind.
His existence was a quantum superposition state. As such, even if others killed Schrödinger, he could revive at will, choosing his resurrection location freely.
To truly kill Schrödinger, one would have to force him to commit suicide and fully accept his own death. Only then would his existence change from "alive" to "dead."
When Chang Wei entered Hellsing Ultimate, Schrödinger's ability was the first thing he considered. Its potential was too enticing.
What did true immortality mean? This was it—a conceptual, unkillable state!
Moreover, unlike the River of Souls, Schrödinger's mind wasn't burdened with countless coexisting consciousnesses. Theoretically, he could observe himself without getting lost in three-dimensional space.
Yet, as Chang Wei's mental domain expanded to envelop the surroundings, he hesitated.
This was merely theoretical knowledge pieced together from memories. Could he really rely on theory alone to engage with such an ominous existence?
What if his fragmented consciousness or excessive mental activity rendered him incapable of observing himself?
After some thought, Chang Wei used telekinesis to obliterate Schrödinger.
For now, he decided to let it go. He would deal with Schrödinger after taking care of other targets.
