Days passed since Zeke, Ramon, and Tyler had left, and Alexia hadn't heard a word from Zeke since. At first, she told herself he was probably busy with whatever secretive business had called him away. But the longer the silence stretched on, the more she found herself thinking about him.
She hadn't realized how much she missed him until now.
There were moments when she'd glance at her phone, half-expecting a text or call from him, but nothing came. Even the smallest things reminded her of him. His scent lingered everywhere. The way his deep voice had filled the halls felt deafening in its absence.
Thankfully, Gina was there to keep her company. Gina had a knack for making even the most mundane things fun, and Alexia appreciated the distraction.
The two of them spent their time shopping, hitting bars, going for spas or just lazing around the mansion—cooking together, watching movies, and indulging in snacks.
