HERMIONE GRANGER!

HERMIONE GRANGER!

Chapter 47: not emma watson!

Author: So, you're going to do the same thing as in the Muggle world?

Vira: Well, it's proven that it works, and the magical world is way smaller than the Muggle one, so it would be easier.

Author: But I said I will separate the Muggle world and the magical world.

Vira: Tough luck. You already decided that won't be the case the moment you had me form from vine. And they probably already know, like wizards are hiding in the Muggle world, so with their magical abilities most probably know about me. It's not like they live in seperate world—if you call it a "magical world."

After that, Ollivander kept saying strange things about how wonderful wands were, and old wands that had yet to find their owners. There were also a few mentions of Hogwarts when Vira guided the conversation that way, but he wasn't able to gain much information on the Sorting Ceremony or the houses.

The old, delirious man was quite talkative, but with the Deputy Headmaster of Hogwarts in front of him, even he seemed to hesitate talking about it much.

He did learn more about how wands worked, though—like how the longer the length of the wand, the more ambition or personality the owner had, and other things about how the wood and core determined their traits. But, well, that didn't last for long.

Not because Vira wasn't interested, but the encounter from before had taught him that, even if the accuracy was only around 60–70%, it was still a great tool to have. Being able to tell the nature of an enemy wizard—or even friendly ones—without having a conversation or being in close proximity was truly magical.

Although he didn't fear the wizarding kind as much as before, the magical abilities were still there, and having an edge over them would be great, even if it wasn't in direct combat.

And while Vira used brute force and killed anyone who came in his way, he didn't underestimate the influence of tricks and psychology.

After all, while his charm had never failed to work on his subordinates, he wasn't near them, so using benefits and giving them what they desired was essential to ensuring the VINE's survival.

Either way, the point is that Vira was listening to Ollivander talk very seriously, but the night began to fall, and Professor McGonagall pulled him outside.

After all, it wasn't common to take an 11-year-old and not drop them off at home.

But before taking him back, she took him to an ice cream shop called Florean Fortescue's Ice Cream Parlour.

After they sat down, Professor McGonagall called the clerk over to take their order. She got herself vanilla and asked what Vira would like.

Truth be told, Vira would love to have dark chocolate with a tinge of whiskey, but he couldn't have that. He had a character to maintain. No innocent, sweet child would like an alcoholic, bitter ice cream, would they?

So he just got himself a milk chocolate, which had a sweet and creamy taste because, well, milk.

Also, he realized that this was his favorite information-gathering time.

Before the ice creams even arrived, he quickly asked if he was the first student she met. He didn't really care about the answer, but judging from her actions in the past few hours, he didn't think he would get more info about Hogwarts if he directly asked about it. He hadn't yet realized he could use any past knowledge or experience for a magical conversation.

Professor McGonagall: "No! You are the second one."

Vira, pretending to be disappointed, asked, "Who is the first, then?"

Professor McGonagall: "Well! Her name is Hermione Granger. Curious child, just like you!"

Vira: "Did you also take her to visit here for stuff?"

Professor McGonagall: "No! You're the only student I've taken since I became a representative. After all, most don't want to go on an adventure with their teacher, do they? You're a special one for that."

Vira, a bit interested in another Muggle-born child, changed the topic and asked, "Not even the girl before me? You said she was curious like me!"

Professor McGonagall chuckled a bit as she answered, "Well, she didn't spare me any questions, but she didn't seem brave enough to follow someone she just met on a trip. Unlike someone here!"

Acting a bit awkward, Vira started to compliment her. "Well, you seem kind and…"

Fortunately for Vira, he didn't have to continue his awkward complimenting as the ice creams arrived, floating through the air and landing in their hands. Along with them came a smiling Florean Fortescue, whom Vira had assumed was just a clerk.

Florean Fortescue: "Enjoy! And call me if you want more."

Vira, not wanting to think about compliments again, quickly took a small bite of the ice cream in front of him. It was quite to his taste and even made him forget about wanting to try something new. Although he would have never liked it because of its bitterness, he still wanted to taste the kid's treat laced with adult whiskey.

That was at least what was in his mind when he ordered dark chocolate, but now he loved the one he got.

As he thought of a new topic while savoring the sweet, milky delight, he saw two dark hooded men heading into an alleyway. Truth be told, it reminded him of trade points for drugs, weapons, and—well—money.

It was a wonderful place to get quick cash before VINE came into existence. Now, the drug and other businesses were done directly at home. To prevent anyone else from snatching the business, he had changed the classic system of going into an alleyway for trade to directly selling at the customers' homes.

And later, as his influence grew, this became the only way, since having a drug-addict population to rule was not ideal. So, a trading system that kept drug use a secret and unaffected by the young population was born.

Having no new customers affected the trade, but VINE had more ways of making money, and the people involved in the drug trade were more than capable of handling different tasks.

For instance, the chemists working on drugs would rather research what they were truly interested in, and those selling them were more capable than the professionals. But it was one of the fastest ways to get a foothold in a new place. So, while pretending to be innocent, Vira asked, "Professor, where are they going?"

Professor McGonagall gave a quick glance at the two hooded men and said, "Knockturn Alley! You should not go in there. Hogwarts students have no reason to visit such a place, least of all you, who has yet to even start his first year."

She was a bit stern in the last part. But Vira knew he would head there sooner or later. The underworld was a perfect place for someone with no connections to rise quickly.

It asked no one of their status or means; everyone had a place as long as they went there. He had risen from being a petty thief in the Muggle world, and now he wanted to replicate the same success in the magical world. So, acting as if he was scared of the sudden reprimand, he meekly asked, "Why? Do they sell bad stuff there, like in London?"

Feeling as if she had scared the child, Professor McGonagall rubbed her head and said gently, "Knockturn Alley deals in items and practices that are best avoided. Books on the Dark Arts, cursed objects, and potions are things that no student like you should concern themselves with."

Vira: "Is that so? Then is there anything I should know about Hogwarts?"

From her stern tone, he didn't want to risk making her dislike him. And besides, he could use money to ask for more information, as the people in the wizarding world didn't seem much different from the Muggle ones.

Professor McGonagall: "Saying more would ruin the experience. Just remember to be at King's Cross Station at 11:00 AM on September 1st, and it's Platform Nine and Three-Quarters."

After that, both of them finished their ice creams. Then, there was a small segment about who would pay, which Vira didn't want to dwell on, but the result was that the professor paid. She then Apparated them to Vira's place.

They appeared in the garden and were soon surrounded by guards.

Vira: "Well! See you at Hogwarts, Professor McGonagall!"

To which she just nodded and said, "Remember, King's Cross Station at 11:00 AM on September 1st, and it's Platform Nine and Three-Quarters. You can just phase through the wall—close your eyes and rush into it. And if you happen to be late, don't worry. Just ask your owl to send me a letter. It will know where to go."

Vira: "Thank you, Professor!"

Professor McGonagall: "You can also have it send me a letter if you have any questions that remain unanswered. Now, see you at Hogwarts."

Then she apperated away!

THE END!

firstly sorry for not uploading yesterday i was in a hurry so i kinda forgot to publish the novel. like i wrote and copied it to inkstone but forgot to press publish.

also i will be using novel hermione and well every other character. cause well she has entered viras sight now and if she were as perfect as she is in the movies and not someone who cant use all means at her disposal then she will have to suffer a bit.

{by that i basically mean that hermione is talented and learns fast but she still has flaws in the book which will be something that keeps her out of viras sight.}

i dont know if you get it but i will be using books not movies
