Innocently gazing at Rojen, the little cat wore an adorably cute expression, as if it were trying to charm everyone around.

Jason watched the interaction between the man and the cat with curiosity; he had become fully aware of the captain's exaggerated affection for this feline companion.

Moreover, the intelligence and cleverness of this cat surpassed his expectations.

This cat almost seems human!

Eventually, the three of them settled into a pastry shop to indulge in some sweet treats.

"I still can't get used to these sweets." Rojen frowned at the pastries laid out before him, clearly unimpressed.

He had never been fond of sweet things, while Jason and Lordling across from him were relishing every bite, thoroughly enjoying themselves.

"These are delicious!" Jason exclaimed, his eyes sparkling with delight.

"Meow!" Lordling chimed in, looking quite content.

Rojen rolled his eyes, a black line forming on his forehead as he chose to ignore the two of them.

After a while, the trio left the shop and officially began gathering supplies for their ship.

With nearly a month of travel ahead, the amount of food they needed was crucial.

Additionally, some clothing was also a necessity.

After nearly exhausting the entire street, Rojen and Jason exchanged awkward glances.

They both realized that this kind of shopping was not suited for men.

"Meow!"

At that moment, Lordling called out, proudly pointing at itself.

"Are you saying you want to handle it?"

Lordling hugged its paws and nodded confidently.

Rojen and Jason were momentarily stunned, half-believing as they followed the little cat's lead and began to take action.

In less than half an hour, Jason found himself burdened with an enormous package on his back, towering as high as he was, with one in each hand as well.

"That should be enough!" Rojen nodded in satisfaction, glancing at Jason, who was sweating profusely, and comfortingly patted his shoulder.

"You've worked hard."

"It's nothing; it's what I should do, Captain," Jason replied with a simple smile.

"I admire your hardworking spirit. Keep it up, and you'll achieve great things in the future," Rojen praised, nodding approvingly.

Jason chuckled but didn't respond; he found the captain could be a bit eccentric at times.

The three of them began to walk toward the ship; this massive haul of supplies had to be stowed away before they could do anything else.

Rojen was planning to listen to some music, sing a shanty, and then soak in a hot spring; that would be perfect.

But just as they were making their way to 'The Logan', Rojen suddenly halted in his tracks.

Jason squinted and stopped as well.

After a brief pause, with a loud "bang," a figure flew out in front of them, screaming, and then crashed heavily to the ground.

"Help, help! Someone's been killed!" The man who fell to the ground screamed, his face bruised and bloodied, looking utterly miserable.

This tragic sight immediately made the crowd around them take a step back.

"You eat with my money and still dare to ask for more!"

"Look at my face, don't you recognize me? You still dare to ask me for money!"

Just then, a large figure emerged from the shop where the man had just been thrown, wearing a fierce expression.

The crowd, upon hearing the large man's words, looked at his face, and gasps echoed through the crowd.

"Oh my God, it's him!"

"Evil Ghost Barron! It's Evil Ghost Barron!"

"The Evil Ghost Barron with a bounty of 45 million berries in South Blue, rumored to be a Devil Fruit User!"

"How could he be here? Wasn't it said he was wandering near Baterilla Island recently?"

Upon seeing Barron's face, the crowd recoiled in shock, taking several steps back.

The man on the ground, upon hearing Barron's name, shrank back in fear. He hadn't recognized him at first, but now, reminded by the people around him, he connected the dots and felt his heart race.

"This is Evil Ghost Barron! I actually offended him."

A wave of terror washed over the man, causing him to tremble uncontrollably.

It was said that Evil Ghost Barron was one of the most untouchable pirates in South Blue; a pirate with such a bounty was undoubtedly a notorious figure.

He had actually crossed paths with such a fearsome pirate!

Suddenly, he froze as a hand appeared in front of him.

"Get up, you fell down." This simple sentence made him tremble all over again, and when he looked up, he saw a young man standing before him.

At that moment, the entire place fell silent.

All the onlookers were stunned.

Evil Ghost Barron was a notorious figure throughout South Blue. Even other pirates would avoid confronting him.

But now, someone dared to intervene in Evil Ghost Barron's affairs.

The man stood up in a daze, feeling a force lift him, and his body involuntarily followed suit.

Once he was upright, he saw Barron's face across from him and trembled again.

"Spare, spare me."

Uncontrollably, the man stammered.

However, at that moment, Barron did not turn his gaze back to the man but instead glared fiercely at the young man who had helped him.

Barron felt that someone was challenging his authority, and this was something he could not tolerate.

In South Blue, Barron was the highest-ranking pirate, sitting on his throne, and no one dared to defy him.

Even the Marines would retreat upon seeing him.

"What are you looking at!" Suddenly, a deep voice rang out, different from that of the young man.

And it was these three words that made everyone around cover their mouths in shock.

"He will be killed!"

"Oh my God!"

People shifted their gazes, turning their attention to the large figure carrying the immense package.

At first glance, everyone was taken aback.

This giant was incredibly robust!

Barron was already considered burly, but in front of this giant, he seemed to shrink.

"What did you say?"

For a moment, Barron seemed unable to believe his ears.

What was happening today? First, a clueless kid saved the person he was about to beat, and now a foolish giant had the audacity to speak to him like that.

"Heed my words, what are you looking at!"

"Are you looking at my captain? Rein in your attitude; your fierce expression will scare him."

Jason thought Barron didn't understand and actually explained it in a daze.

Barron fell silent, but everyone could feel the anger building up within him, reaching its peak.

His eyes flickered with a dangerous light, and cold words escaped his lips.

"Today, the three of you will undoubtedly die!"
