Yana looked at Lyla with a warm smile and said, "Nothing—I really admire your tactics."
In Lyla's astonishment, Yana reached out her hand and, in an exceptionally friendly tone, added, "At least now we share a secret: that card which got charged with 1 million today is pretty impressive."
"Sorry, that bottle of Louis XIII is finished."
It was hard to tell whether the remark was meant in goodwill or as a provocation, but Lyla couldn't help feeling a bit uneasy.
Waving her hand dismissively and smiling generously, Yana continued, "Talking about such trivialities is pointless. Lyla, you and I know that sensible people communicate best—after all, I learned about Brother Ryan's situation long before you did, didn't I?"
"Yeah!"
Lyla had no way to deny it.
