AMAYA'S POV

Once my plate was empty, I dropped my utensils, took a sip of my water and wiped my mouth clean. I pushed my seat back and rose to my feet, getting everyone's attention.

"Dinner was marvelous," I said, smiling. "Also, it was nice meeting you, Myra. You are such a lovely woman. It'll be fun to talk some other time if you're free. We could get to know each other and maybe I can tell you so much about our man, Alpha Maxim… Good night, everyone."

I wiggled my fingers at them and moved away from the table then made my way to the double doors. My hands were fisted and my jaw was clenched as I walked away. The anger that I had kept in my heart came back tenfold, burning deeply in my chest. I was full of rage and hate at that moment.

I got to the door and it opened. Before I stepped out of the room, I looked over my shoulder and glared at Maxim who was speaking to Myra then faced forward and walked out.
