Let's rework Ethan's character to make him an anti-hero who operates in the shadows.

Ethan's New Path
With his newfound powers, Ethan chose not to seek fame or recognition. Instead, he decided to operate in the shadows, using his abilities to manipulate events from behind the scenes.

Ethan's motivations were complex. He wasn't driven by a desire for good or evil; he simply wanted to protect himself and those he cared about. He believed that by operating in the shadows, he could avoid drawing attention to himself and maintain a sense of control.
Ethan used his powers to subtly influence the world around him. He would create small, seemingly insignificant events that would cascade into larger consequences. He manipulated markets, whispered in the ears of influential people, and created tiny distortions in the fabric of reality.

Ethan's actions were often morally ambiguous. He would help those in need, but only if it served his own interests. He would punish the guilty, but not always in a way that was just

As he waited, Ethan's mind turned to the possibilities. He knew that Sarah was a brilliant hacker, and he was eager to see how she would react to his proposal.

Just as he was starting to get impatient, Sarah walked in, her eyes scanning the room as she searched for him. Ethan waved her over, and she smiled as she spotted him.

"Hey," she said, sliding into the chair across from him.

Ethan smiled back, feeling a sense of excitement and nervousness. "Hey," he replied. "Thanks for coming."

Sarah nodded, her eyes sparkling with curiosity. "So, what's this about?" she asked.

Ethan took a deep breath, launching into his pitch. He told her about EREBUS, about his vision for a global network of innovators and problem-solvers.

As he spoke, Ethan watched Sarah's face, looking for any sign of interest or skepticism. But to his surprise, she listened intently, her eyes never leaving his.

When he finished, Sarah leaned back in her chair, a thoughtful expression on her face. "I'm impressed," she said. "I had no idea you were thinking so big."

Ethan smiled, feeling a sense of relief and excitement. "I've been thinking about this for a long time," he said. "I'm glad you're interested."

Sarah nodded, her eyes sparkling with enthusiasm. "I'm more than interested," she said. "I'm in."

Ethan grinned, feeling a sense of elation. "Welcome to EREBUS," he said, extending his hand.

Sarah shook it, her smile matching his. "Thanks for having me," she replied.

As they shook hands, Ethan felt a sense of excitement and anticipation. He knew that this was just the beginning, that EREBUS was going to change the world.
