[3rd POV]
A bully from school and the "Miss Homura Hara" both enter a love hotel...
Unfortunately...
"Hey, Tohsaka-san, what if I enter Hogwarts and the Sorting Hat doesn't put me in Gryffindor? What should I do?"
Kyouya's eyes became sharp, clearly prepared to repeatedly beat the Sorting Hat until it changed its mind.
"I already told you, it's the Clock Tower, not Hogwarts."
Although she was on the verge of losing her chastity, Rin couldn't help but feel the urge to complain about Kyouya's ridiculous behavior.
Even though the last two "Harry Potter" movies were a bit popular, how could anyone seriously believe that Hogwarts actually exists?
"In short, you just want to learn magic, right?"
"That's about the gist of it."
He naturally wouldn't tell the whole truth about his situation. He just came up with a half-baked excuse about a talent awakening.
However, Rin had no choice but to believe him when faced with Kyouya's unreasonable approach to magic.
"You're being completely unreasonable."
She stared at him in frustration. She had worked hard for over ten years to master magic, and now it was useless against him.
The feeling of defeat was clearly overwhelming.
This put her in a love hotel with no other choices.
She was worried that someone might think this was some weird roleplay, and if everyone knew about this, she'd lose all dignity.
For the sake of her dignity, Rin made a decision that violated against her family's traditions.
"I guess I could take you on as a student, but you need to respect me as your sensei from now on and no more dragging me to love hotels like this."
Kyouya laughed.
For a magician, not sending their teacher to an early grave was already considered showing respect.
She was well aware of the dangers among magicians, but Kyouya didn't know that.
As an experienced magician, she could easily deceive this naive fool at the very least, she would get revenge for today's humiliation.
"So, you're agreeing, then?"
"From now on, you'll be my student of the Tohsaka family. After school tomorrow, come with me to meet my senior, and then I'll start teaching you magic."
After those words, Rin immediately turned to run away.
After all, having a teenage girl and a bully boy appear at a love hotel was already pushing Rin's psychological limits.
Taking on a student like this was hasty, but her senior, Kirei Kotomine, was experienced and sharp.
There shouldn't be any major problems with his help.
"She's gone? Well, it's good I booked a room by the hour."
He settled the bill at the front desk and was about to leave, but the receptionist's gaze seemed to carry a bit of pity for him.
He had been in the room for less than half an hour, and they'd made this much money off of him.
What was there to be pity about?
"Ding!"
"It is detected that you have started to touch the mysterious side of the world and are beginning to understand the truth about it. You have had a significant impact on this world. The 'Hero Simulator' begins simulation... please choose three birth skills."
The familiar darkness returned to him with ten glowing orbs circling around him, and he needed to randomly choose three.
"The Benevolent Hidden Emperor (EX): You are born alongside a legendary ruler. This power will remain dormant until you step forth when a ruler fails to be benevolent. The more people worship you, the stronger you become and your divinity higher."
"Eternal Arms Mastery (A): You possess unparalleled martial skills of being said to be unrivaled in one's era where mind, technique, and body are perfectly merged. You are able to use full fighting skills even when under the influence of any sort of mental hindrance."
"Absolute Counter (A+): You are able to perceive the opponent's intentions and strike first while also being able to hide one's own attack intentions, making it impossible for the enemy to anticipate. It's absolute defense and absolute offense."
"That's amazing."
He was no longer a complete rookie when it came to combat and understood even more the value of "Eternal Arms Mastery" and "Absolute Counter."
The concept of unparalleled martial skills was easy to grasp, while "Absolute Counter" was simply overpowered.
He could prepare his defense in advance if he could detect his opponent's intent to attack and conceal his own attack.
Otherwise, the opponent wouldn't be able to defend in time.
This would give him a huge advantage if the opponents' strengths were relatively similar.
The only unclear one was the so-called "Benevolent Hidden Emperor." which seemed like a blank talent with no use unless the ruler was an oppressive tyrant.
However, who in life has things go perfectly? The other two skills were more than enough to make up for the blank one.
"Personal skills confirmed, beginning script import for 'If I Were Emperor.'"
[You have been born.]
[Your birth was not ordinary. You had no parents or family. As a creation of the gods, you were entrusted to be raised by the goddess of the underworld, Ereshkigal.]
[You lived in the underworld with this goddess, who trained your martial arts, taught you knowledge, and treated you as her own child.]
[You never slacked in your training in the underworld, and one day, you realized that you could sense danger in advance and hide your intentions.]
[Absolute Counter awakened: You are able to perceive the opponent's intentions and strike first while also being able to hide one's own attack intentions, making it impossible for the enemy to anticipate.]
[Your hard work and talent have surpassed that of ordinary people. Even after many years, Ereshkigal, the goddess, could no longer teach you. In pure martial arts, she was no longer your match.]
["Eternal Arms Mastery" awakened: You possess unparalleled martial skills of being said to be unrivaled in one's era where mind, technique, and body are perfectly merged.]
[You have reached a point where you can no longer learn anything more in the Underworld, and for that reason, Ereshkigal has come to you.]
"Shadow, you no longer belong in this Underworld."
Sitting on the Skull Throne, the Goddess of the Underworld, Ereshkigal, exuded an air of authority. She had immense power in the Underworld, but...
"Ereshkigal, I have said this to you before, this fake sense of authority is too funny."
He certainly had no awe for the goddess before him, who resembled his classmate, Rin Tohsaka, especially after learning just how reckless and wild she was...
"Bastard, you..."
Ereshkigal's fist is getting harder.
As a disciple, he didn't show any respect or consideration for her master during training.
What kind of sin had she committed to raise someone like this?
"Shadow, have you ever thought about one thing? Why are you called 'Shadow'?"
"Isn't it the name you gave me?"
He naturally wouldn't bother about his name.
A name is just a code name.
"You are the insurance of the gods, the second 'Wedge of the Heavens'."
