But then suddenly, he removed his grip on me, leaving me to fall back to the floor, my palm wrapped around my neck as I coughed profusely, my eyes phlegmatic and my face looking sickly red.

I didn't feel good.

The skin around my neck was bruised and a bit bloody. My throat felt much dried and sore. Worst still, my temperature was excessively high and I was trembling affright.

I almost died! If he hadn't let go, I'd be a corpse by now.

I was scared. I didn't want to be here anymore.

This man before me was a monster and sooner or later, he was going to kill me just like he did to my family.

I made to crawl away from him out of instincts but he instantaneously grasped my hair, forcing me to face him, my timorous expression reflecting what I chiefly felt inside.
