Chapter 89

I walked hand-in-hand out of the Circle of Druids with Iris and Umbra.

I should have told Tara what I was doing, but I honestly wanted to spend some time with Iris. I couldn't be bothered with the hassle of explaining that or dealing with the consequences if Tara insisted on coming along.

"The wizard has a shop in the city. Performs spell and sell magical goods there." Iris explained.

"What sort of spells does he do?"

"I'm not sure." Iris admitted.

Umbra, the ever sociable source of local intel, did, "He has charmed Unseelie fae to act as cheap labour. I think that is where he gets most of his trade from. They work in the fields and he gets bread, or building dams. He can do the usual wizard tricks like form a light, make a fire, enchant a warm blanket and see and talk over long distances."

"So not at my level of magic." I commented.

Iris laughed and tugged on my arm. "I don't think anyone is Metalhead."
