Chapter 5 Maelstrom.

We were already at the entrance, and of course, I couldn't help but get nervous, because I saw the Militech thugs and the woman who was talking on the phone.

Vi drove up to them and got out of the car, I just opened the door and stood next to them, but held the gun in my hands.

She approached this woman and extended her hand, but instead of shaking her hand, she was hit, I was already ready to burst in and rip them apart, but Vi showed me with her hand. that it was not necessary, yes, I could get hit by bullets, since they were holding me at gunpoint.

In the end, they started talking to her, and even pulled out some guy, but overall, Vi seemed to have handled the negotiations, and returned to the car.

"Are you okay?" I asked her worriedly.

"Yeah, that hit was weak, and nothing to me." She said proudly, puffing out her chest.

I just rolled my eyes at her obvious "coolness" in front of me.

"Okay, you're cool and hot. But what did you agree on with her?" I asked.

"She gave me a chip with money for the Bolt, but I'm completely sure that she's infected with a virus."

"Wait a second… And that's it, I removed the virus, now we can safely spend her money and not be in danger."

"Except her?"

"No, she's probably already screwed, her bosses will just kill her." Vi answered me.

"Okay, what's next?"

"I'll call Jackie now, and we'll meet him, and we'll go and get this Bolt." She said and called Jackie, then started the car and we headed to the meeting.

After a while, we drove up to the place where Jackie was waiting for us, on his favorite motorcycle.

"Vi, what's up?" Jackie asked when we approached him.

Vi briefly told him everything, to which he simply nodded and got off the motorcycle.

"Let's go to the Maelstrom." Vi said, and we headed across the road, where their base was.

We went to the garage door and rang the intercom.

"Um… I don't know you." A voice came from the intercom.

"We need Royce. We're from Dex." Vi said.

"Main hall. We were waiting for you." - the same voice answered, after which the gate opened.

We entered the building, and I could not cringe from the looks of these freaks who looked at me with their lustful looks.

I saw how Vi almost broke down and was ready to shoot them all, but I just took her hand, thereby calming her down.

We got to the elevator and went up to the floor above.

"Calm down Vi, don't be cocky, we're on their territory. I understand you, I also want to kill them because of the way they look at our Tama, Chika." - said Jackie.

"What do you want?" - one of the freaks met us right at the exit of the elevator.

"I need a "Bolt." - Vi answered

"Well, let's say. What does it matter to you?"

"The man who paid Brick for the "Bolt" sent me. I need to get him. I can talk to Royce directly if I need to." Vee said.

"No. You'll talk to me. "I'm Dum-Dum," the freak replied.

"On the couch, fucking fast," he said, waving his gun.

We just went and sat down with Vee on the couch, but Jackie was too stubborn and didn't want to sit down until Vee asked him to, otherwise a shootout could have started.

Then they talked and he showed us this "Bolt", for which we had to pay again.

And of course their leader showed up and started to mock Vee, which pissed me off, but Vee acted quickly, she grabbed the gun, and pointing it at their leader, immediately shot him.

After which we immediately dove behind the couch, until a hail of bullets fell on us.

As soon as they started reloading, Vee and I jumped out from behind the couch, immediately started shooting at the nearest enemy, quickly killing them.

Everyone in this room was killed, we grabbed "Bolt", and headed for the exit, where they met resistance.

We were killing them pretty quickly, but the next moment my heart sank into my heels, because Vi was shot, but my protective amulet worked, protecting her from a bullet in the head,

I sighed with relief and immediately fired several bullets at the one who shot her, smashing his head.

Having changed the pistol, with a submachine gun, I began to shower the enemy with bullets, and of course, each bullet found the enemy, and hit the head.

I liked weapons with homing cartridges.

Pretty soon, we shot everyone and finally calmly headed for the exit.

And at the entrance, that woman from Militech met us.

"What, you didn't expect to see me?"

"You know, I like the way you work. Maybe we'll cooperate?" - she asked Vi.

"Yeah, maybe." - Vi simply answered.

"Just learn to follow orders first." - she said.

"I don't know. It doesn't always work. At least for me." - Vi answered.

"Then make it work. Next time." - she said in response.

I hope there won't be a next time!

After talking to her, we approached Jackie, who was leaning against the fence.

"Holy shit, Vi. I thought we'd never get out of there." - He said.

"You shoot great, Chika," he said looking at me.

"My Tama is the best!" V exclaimed, proudly puffing out her chest, to which I rolled my eyes again.

"When should I expect an invitation to the wedding?" Jackie asked, to which I blushed deeply.

"As soon as you marry Misty," Vee quipped, which made Jackie laugh.

"Okay, jokes aside, I think you should contact Dex and tell him the mission is complete." Vi simply nodded and we said goodbye to Jackie.

Vi contacted the fat guy and told him everything.

After finishing the conversation, Vi looked at me.

"Tama..."

I sighed and interrupted her.

"Let me guess, you don't want me to come with you?" I asked her.

"Not really, but yeah. It'll be easier for two to complete this mission. I'm meeting them in the Afterlife tomorrow, and then the mission begins." she said.

"Okay, but promise me you'll be careful." I told her.

"I promise," she replied and hugged me, so that my tails wrapped around her body, making a cocoon of fur out of us.

Seasoning the hug, we headed to the car.

"So, home?" she asked.

I just nodded at her, smiling.
