Chapter 217: The Coercion Of Grand Priest

Goten: "You're really confident, Grand Priest. Do you truly believe that in this universe, apart from you and Zeno, no one is stronger than you?"

(Goten asked with a faint smile, his tone calm but laced with subtle challenge.)

(Of course, Goten understood where the Grand Priest's confidence came from.)

(The Grand Priest and Zeno had ruled the universe for incalculable years, standing unchallenged at the pinnacle of power.)

(It was only natural for them to believe they were invincible.)

(However, Goten couldn't help but feel a flicker of irritation whenever he saw the Grand Priest's smug demeanor.)

(Though this wasn't the same Grand Priest he had defeated in another timeline, the sight of that self-assured face still stirred a desire in Goten to put him in his place once more.)

Whis: "Goten, you are far too arrogant."

(Whis interjected, his voice sharp with disapproval.)

Whis: "Don't think that just because you defeated Lord Beerus, you can speak to the Grand Priest in such a manner! I'll have you know that the Grand Priest could crush you with a single finger if he wished. There is no one in this universe who surpasses him."

(Whis couldn't stand Goten's audacity.)

(To him, the Grand Priest wasn't just the highest authority among the gods-he was also the father of all Angels.)

(Whis held him in the highest regard, and seeing a mortal like Goten dismiss him so casually was infuriating.)

Beerus: "Goten, if you value your life-or the existence of the Seventh Universe-apologize to the Grand Priest at once."

(Beerus added, his face pale with fear.)

(He knew all too well that Goten's words could provoke the Grand Priest into destroying their entire universe.)

Goten: "Beerus, relax. The Grand Priest isn't as invincible as you think."

(Goten replied casually, his tone dismissive.)

(To Beerus, the Grand Priest was an untouchable deity, but to Goten, he was nothing more than a minor obstacle.)

Grand Priest: "Haha! You are the most arrogant mortal I have ever encountered."

(the Grand Priest said, his laughter light but his eyes sharp.)

Grand Priest: "I admit, your talent is extraordinary. Among the twelve universes, there may not be another like you. However, your ignorance is astounding."

(The Grand Priest's smile widened, but there was a dangerous glint in his eyes.)

Grand Priest: "Since you believe you are stronger than me, let's put that to the test. I'd like to see just how powerful you truly are."

(With those words, an overwhelming surge of divine energy erupted from the Grand Priest's body.)

(It was a pressure so immense that even the strongest Gods of Destruction would be crushed instantly, reduced to nothingness. Angels, too, would struggle to withstand such force.)

(Yet, as the crushing pressure bore down on him, Goten remained unfazed.)

(His expression didn't change, and his posture stayed relaxed, as if the Grand Priest's power was nothing more than a gentle breeze.)

Grand Priest [in mind]: 'What? How is he unaffected by such pressure?'

(the Grand Priest thought, his calm demeanor faltering for the first time.)

Grand Priest [in mind]: 'Even Angels would struggle under this. Could it be that his strength truly surpasses theirs?'

(The Grand Priest increased the intensity of his coercion, the pressure growing even more suffocating.)

(Beerus and Whis, standing nearby, felt their knees buckle under the weight.)

(Their faces turned pale, and beads of sweat formed on their foreheads.)

(They knew that if this pressure were directed at them, they would be obliterated in an instant.)

(But Goten? He stood there, completely unbothered, his expression as calm as ever.)

Beerus: "Are you kidding me? Is this kid really that strong?"

(Beerus muttered, his voice trembling.)

(For a moment, he almost believed Goten's earlier claims.)

(But then he shook his head, dismissing the thought.)

(In his mind, no one could surpass the Grand Priest and Zeno.)

(It was simply impossible.)

(Whis, too, was struggling to reconcile what he was seeing.)

Whis: "How can a mortal withstand such pressure? And without even flinching? This is... unbelievable."

(Just as the two were grappling with their shock, Goten spoke again, his tone light and almost teasing.)

Goten: "Grand Priest, are you trying to tickle me? You don't seriously think this level of pressure will affect me, do you? If so, you're underestimating me far too much."

(Goten's words were bold, but they carried an undeniable truth.)

(With his current strength, even if he stood still and let the Grand Priest attack him, it would be impossible for the Grand Priest to harm him.)

(Using mere pressure to intimidate him? It was laughable.)

(The Grand Priest's calm expression finally cracked, replaced by a look of deep concentration.)

(Goten's strength was far beyond what he had anticipated.)

(It seemed there was no point in continuing this display of power.)

(Perhaps it was time to take Goten to the Temple of Zeno and see just how far his abilities stretched.)
