Chapter 225: Meeting With Grand Priestess

(A flicker of surprise flashed across Twist's face.)

(She hadn't expected Goten to guess her purpose so easily.)

(The mortal standing before her was proving to be quite difficult to deal with-not only did he possess overwhelming power, but he was also exceptionally sharp.)

Twist: "Yes, Mr. Goten."

(she admitted.)

Twist: "You are absolutely correct. Lord Grand Priestess sent me to seek your aid. With your help, we can overthrow Zeno and the Grand Priest once and for all."

(She paused, her eyes narrowing slightly as she observed Goten's expression.)

Twist: "You were once a mortal yourself, so you must understand the feeling of being erased at will. Surely, you harbor resentment toward Zeno and the Grand Priest. Wouldn't you want to take revenge on them?"

(Twist spoke quickly, her tone laced with urgency.)

(According to their intelligence, Goten had a history of conflict with Zeno and the Grand Priest.)

(If that information was correct, he wouldn't refuse an opportunity to join forces against them.)

(Goten smirked slightly.)

Goten: "You're right. For a time, I did hate Zeno and the Grand Priest. I despised the feeling of being erased so effortlessly. But now? They are no longer a threat to me. If I wanted to, I could erase them both in an instant."

(His voice was calm, but the weight of his words sent a chill through Twist.)

(Goten's strength had long since surpassed Zeno and the Grand Priest, and he knew it.)

(He had no reason to seek revenge anymore-he had already won.)

Twist: "This..."

(Twist hesitated, struggling for a response.)

(Everything she had planned to say became meaningless in the face of Goten's overwhelming power.)

(She had assumed he would be eager to side with them, but now, it was clear that he neither feared Zeno nor the Grand Priest.)

(More importantly, he showed no particular reverence for the Grand Priestess either.)

Goten: "It seems you have nothing to offer me."

(Goten said coldly.)

Goten: "In that case, you can go back to wherever you came from."

(He gave her an indifferent glance, already losing interest.)

(While he was mildly curious about the Grand Priestess, he had no desire to involve himself in their affairs.)

(If they had a grudge against Zeno and the Grand Priest, that was their problem.)

Twist: "Mr. Goten, please don't refuse just yet!"

(Twist pleaded.)

Twist: "If you have any requests, you can state them. As long as it is within our power, we will do everything we can to fulfill them!"

(Her desperation was evident.)

(She had been given a direct order to bring Goten to the Grand Priestess, and failure was not an option.)

Goten: "Oh?"

(Goten raised an eyebrow, amused by her persistence.)

Goten: "Well, there is something I need help with. If your Grand Priestess can do it, then I might consider working with you. I may even help you deal with Zeno and the Grand Priest."

(He leaned forward slightly, studying Twist's reaction.)

(The one obstacle he currently faced was his inability to return to his original timeline.)

(If the Grand Priestess had the power to send him back, then an alliance might be worth considering.)

(While Goten doubted that the Grand Priestess was stronger than him, he understood that power alone wasn't everything.)

(Even the weakest gods possessed unique abilities that others did not.)

(For example, Supreme Kai had Instant Transmission and the ability to travel between timelines with a space-time ring-something even Angels and Gods of Destruction couldn't do.)

(If the Grand Priestess had a similar ability, she might be useful to him.)

Twist: "Mr. Goten, please tell me what you need!"

(Twist exclaimed eagerly.)

Twist: "If it is within our power, we will make it happen!"

(She could see a glimmer of interest in Goten's eyes, and that gave her hope.)

(Of course, she knew that anything beyond Goten's abilities would be incredibly difficult for them as well.)

(But for the sake of securing his cooperation, she had no choice but to agree and find a way to fulfill his request.)

Goten: "It's simple."

(Goten replied.)

Goten: "I need to return to my original timeline. I don't know if your Grand Priestess has that kind of power, but if she does, then we can talk. If not, then there's no point in continuing this conversation."

(His tone remained flat, but Twist could sense the weight of his words.)

(Returning to his own timeline was his top priority-everything else was secondary.)

(If the Grand Priestess truly possessed such an ability, then he might be willing to work with them.)

(Otherwise, he had no reason to care about their plans.)

Twist: "Timelines travel?"

(Twist's eyes widened.)

Twist: "Mr. Goten, that is a trivial matter for the Grand Priestess! You can trust me-if you come with me to see her, she will undoubtedly fulfill your request!"

(She spoke with quickly.)

Goten: "Is that so? Well, if that's the case, I'll go with you. But you'd better be responsible for what you just said. If I go with you and you can't send me back to my own dimension, then there's only one outcome -I'll kill all of you."

(Goten smirked coldly, speaking with absolute confidence.)

(And he had every right to be.)

(From his conversation with Twist just now, it was clear that the so-called Grand Priestess was weaker than both the Grand Priest and Zeno.)

(Otherwise, she wouldn't need his help.)

(If she couldn't reach their level, then she was obviously no match for him.)

(Which meant he could kill her easily.)

Twist: "Gulp!"

(Twist swallowed hard.)

(Goten's words carried an undeniable weight, and even she wasn't sure of the Grand Priestess's true strength.)

(Goten had publicly traveled to his own time and space, so there was no turning back now.)

Twist: "Alright, I understand! If there's nothing else, let's go now-if we can."

(Twist could only bite the bullet and nod.)

Goten: "I'm not familiar with this world, and there's no one here I need to see. Let's go."

(Goten drained the last half of his glass, stood up, and paid the bill before following Twist out of the tavern.)

Twist: "Mr. Goten, let's go."

(With a wave of her staff, the two of them vanished from Earth in an instant.)

(The speed was far greater than that of an ordinary Angel.)

(But to Goten, it was ridiculously slow.)

(They passed through something resembling a space-time barrier before arriving in a vast void.)

(Before them stood a dark castle, its design reminiscent of a fairy tale villain's domain.)

(Goten could sense something unsettling within.)

(The energy inside was stronger than that of Vados or Whis.)

(But they were all Angel auras.)

(Clearly, this was where the Angels gathered.)

Twist: "Mr. Goten, we've arrived. I'll take you to see the Grand Priestess now."

(Twist stepped forward, leading the way.)

(Goten, however, was curious.)

(Judging by the environment, he had expected the Grand Priestess to be an old woman-wrinkled, aged, perhaps holding a staff like some kind of queen.)

(But as he entered the grand hall, he realized just how wrong he was.)

(Seated on the throne was not the elderly, withered figure he had imagined.)

(Instead, she looked younger than Twist.)

(She wore a black Angel uniform, her piercing blue eyes carrying an icy aura.)

(And then there was her figure-)

(Her chest was massive.)

(Her face was flawless.)

(Her body, devilishly alluring.)

(And that chilling presence she radiated-undeniably, she was a peerless beauty.)

(Compared to Vados and Macarita, she might have already surpassed them.)

Grand Priestess: "This is Mr. Goten."

(As Goten observed her, the Grand Priestess finally spoke.)

(Her voice was incomparably cold, like ice frozen for thousands of years.)

(The moment she spoke, the temperature in the castle seemed to plummet.)

(In the past, he had thought Vados and the others had a cool demeanor.)

(But he hadn't expected the Grand Priestess to lower the surrounding temperature just by opening her mouth.)

Goten: "Ah, I'm Goten. I thought the Grand Priestess would be an old lady. Didn't expect you to be so much younger than I imagined."

(Goten nodded, his tone slightly teasing.)

(But he was only speaking the truth.)

(The Grand Priestess before him was nothing like he had pictured.)

(If anything, she looked like a young girl.)

Grand Priestess: "Oh? Then tell me, Mr. Goten, what should the Mother of Angels look like?"

(The Grand Priestess seemed intrigued.)

(The corner of her mouth curled into what might have been a smile-though it was so forced and unnatural, it was clear she wasn't used to it.)

Goten: "In my mind, the Grand Priestess should be at least sixty, with a wrinkled face. I didn't expect you to be so young. Of course, you so-called gods love using innocent appearances to fool people. I've long since gotten used to it."

(Goten found a stool, sat down, and smirked.)

(He wasn't wrong.)

(Zeno, the Grand Priest-they all pretended to be kind, childish, or innocent, hiding their true nature.)

(And this Grand Priestess in front of him had probably lived for hundreds of millions of years, if not longer.)

(Yet she still looked like this.)

(Clearly, just like Zeno and the Grand Priest, she was using some kind of trick.)

Grand Priestess: "Oh? You seem to understand gods quite well. And your analysis is thorough. You're right-gods are like that. The Grand Priest, Zeno, and myself, we all are. But I'll tell you one thing. Unlike those two, this is just how I am. Angels don't age."

(The Grand Priestess spoke lightly, but there was a sharpness in her tone.)

(In truth, she despised the Grand Priest and Zeno's hypocrisy.)

(They acted superior, pretending to be merciful and naive while possessing the power to erase entire universes with a wave of their hands.)

(She had hated their deception for a long time.)

(But she had never possessed the absolute strength to overthrow them.)

(Her power was on par with the Grand Priest's.)

(And despite her attempts to resist, she had always been cast back to this place.)

(This time, however, things were different.)

(With Goten's help, she had absolute confidence.)

(She could kill Zeno and the Grand Priest.)

(And finally, get her revenge.)
