The Assassins

A nurse is working on the desk of a hospital and suddenly sees a thudding wave of running men bringing in an injured man carried upon shoulders, the chaotic scene terrorizes the nurse but a man yells constantly for a doctor. A doctor to check up on Denver - The President of Takht. Just a few kilometres away Domer and Draco are running to the assassins in an attempt to catch them. Draco runs to the east and Domer to north west, they got 10 men each with them running and search through the woods around the roads. Draco enters to the jungle and tells the crew to move slowly and steadily, since the jungle was getting denser he knew that the Assassin could no longer be able to run away on his horse. They see a horse running their direction with no rider on it, the Crew membere immediately catch him, it seemed like the horse was just a mere distraction, the Crew then started its searching by walking. On the other side Domer spreads his men throughout the woods in search of the assasin, they had figured out the path of the horse's run but it was difficult to identify the exact way because of no light in the night. Domer said that he will personally reward the person who finds the attacker alive, the game was on and all the crew memberd started searching for this assassin vigorously.

Meanwhile, the messenger region reaches to the Sharks, Spiders, Slithers, Aves and the DOP (Director of Police), they all were summoned once again in the capital, and were suggested to start their journey during the day when their is broad daylight. Jon Moraca smirked and refused to go, he told his cult crew to keep going and reach to the East Zone.

The Spiders controlled the Central region so they sent messages to all the border checkposts alerting them that there has been an assassination attempt on the President and he's in a serious condition, they were told to not let anyone from Central region to leave. The leader of Spiders - Haroon Beram knew that this might give a bad reputation to his region as the attempt happened near the borders of Central region.

The night turned even more chaotic, there was panic in all of the Cults and the leaders decided what they want to do. Slithers decided to leave for their region with an excuse they gave that East Region needs forces to protect themselves since the president has been assasinated eventhough it wasn't yet confirmed that Denver was died or still in a serious state. The Spiders started their patrolling on all of the Central region, Aves and Sharks decided to go back to Cult House and the Scorpions were still looking for the assasins.

(Cult Facts: Cult House is a big mansion made near the Conference Room and Ceremonial Hall in a wide area called 'Takht Nation Society', it's an accomodation of several houses, a Big Mansion to stay for the main leaders, a Conference room and a Ceremonial Hall which is used to celebrate National Win)

Domer finds a person running on the opposite direction by creating a distraction of horse, the Crew members were swift enough to catch him quickly. He had no weapons on him, he raised his hands in air as if he's surrenderring but suddenly tries to grab something out of his gown and put it in his mouth Domer hits his hand the pill in the assasins hand gets thrown away. Domer and the Crew assume that it was a poison if things came to his arrest.

There on the other side of the woods Draco is steadily moving to the assasin by following the footmarks but comes to a near halt when he sees that there is a waterfall and a heightened mountain ahead so it is a dead end. Draco tells his men too look around the waterfall and nearby trees to find anything suspicious, as they search around they hear a noise from some bushes and couple of men run towards it, a man hidden in the bushes starts to run for his dear life but ends up crashing into Draco's shoulders, Draco being a tall and muscular guy manhandles the assasin and pushes him to the ground. The man fells on his back looking scared and worried for his life, Draco kicks the man on his leg but he dodges and tries to run again by pushing Draco. Draco quickly recovers and throws a knife to the assasin killing him in the process. Draco goes to check his pulse and awws in disbelief. He facepalms and exclaims to his men "He shouldn't have ran, see what happened to him?" Draco was fairly disappointed as he couldn't catch him to acquire more information.

In the hospital Denver was getting operated by the doctors in an operation going on for 2 hours now. This chaotic and crazy night finally feels a bit calm and as the night passed on everyone came to their desired destination. The Mahato brothers were waiting for the doctors to give report on their fathers after the operation, the Sharks and Aves came back to the Cult House. The DOP of National force started an investigation and sent his best men to look out for any dangers in the Central region and the borders of Central and West region. Dawn arrived and the chaos came to a halt, doctors declared Denver Mahato in a severe state of shock and coma due to the strong poison, they said that it's a big deal that he's still alive with that dose of poison still in his veins, the recovery of Denver was possible but with very less chance.

24th January, 1840

Aves leader Brian Trainor and Shark leader Molkov Dagger meet in the Cult House along with Haroon Beram, all of this middle aged men were discussing the assassination attempt on Denver.

Molkov: Do you think it could be Jon?

Brian: No he may hate Denver but I don't think he's brave enough hire assasins to kill him.

Haroon: ...and besides he knew that everybody knew about his bitter relationship with Denver, so naturally he wouldn't take such a step that could tarnish his reputation and make him the centre of attention and the prime suspect.

Brian: The old man might be a wimp when it comes to Denver but he's not stupid, we've known him for several years.

Molkov: But it certainly could be that you are in it too? You both have your own reasons to have taken such steps, it could be any of you, both of you, any of you with Jon or... All three of you.

Brian: hmph (Brian Smirks), Dagger, it is also possible that it's all you and you're now turning it all on us so no one doubts you in the first place.

Haroon: You don't have a solid motivation to have attempted such act but everyone knew that you would be the 2nd President after Denver because of your deeds and work towards the country and if Denver lived till next elections he might have sabotaged the elections for his eldest to win.

Brian: ...and since your image is so clean no one would have doubted you anyway which makes the suspicion over you even more stronger.

The conversation becomes intense as all the men took a pause and take deep breaths to analyze the situation. Dagger laughs it out to ease the situation and replies.

Dagger: hahaha, I think anyone could have done that so we needn't worry about it and let...

He gets interrupted by a voice.

Harlem Joras: The National Force do it's work. Gentlemen I'd like you all to help me out and co operate with the National Police.

Molkov: I assure you full support from the Sharks.

Harlem: Thank you so much, as you all know that in such situations the Direction of Police automatically becomes the head of the state, I as the head of state of Takht and DOP of the National Force request you all the co operate with me to find the culprits.

Everyone nods their head once in unision. Harlem excuses himself from the scene to further investigate the matter.

On the border of West and Central region, Scorpions detain 1 suspect but one of the suspects get killed by Draco, Draco is known to be a hothead and a man with psychotic nature and sometimes he has been reported to kill people just because he felt they are lower than him.

The detained assasin is taken into custody by the Scorpions but the officer in charge of that region was ordered to capture the suspect from the Scorpions. It was in the middle of the day now and almost 10 hours since the suspect was detained, the National Police arrive at the hospital where Denver was admitted to inspect the situation and recieve the culprit. The in charge enters the hospital and looks for Domer to talk out few things with him.

The Inspector finds Domer near the ICU of Denver, he then shows a bit of concern for Denver but soon gets onto the real topic by asking if the Culprit told him anything about who might have sent him. Domer replied in to the inspector that the Assasin has been sent to West Region jail, this leaves the Inspector surprised as he didn't expect the scorpions to take such decision. "Wh- why did you take him to West?? I've been ordered by the DOP to bring him to National Police HQ". Domer looks furiously at the inspectors face and replies "Do you know who he tried to kill? The president of Takht, the leader of the Scorpions and the father of Domer! We will get all the details out of him and you and your boss must not interfere in this matter". The Inspector knew that it was futile to have a conversation with him so he sends a message to DOP and requests him to talk to Domer himself.

Domer tries to think who might have done this and suspects primarily on Jon Moraca because it was clear that he didn't like Denver and the Scorpions. As he was lost in his thoughts, the door of the ICU opens and a nurse shouts "he's regained his consciousness!" Domer looks through the glass and sees his father's eyes open! He was glad to see his father alive concious and feeling the surge of power within him. He calls his right hand man and tells him to get Cult member in the West and get prepared for a war because on the dawn of 25th January The Scorpions will be attacking The Slithers.

Denver has gained conciousness and Domer has waged a war against The Slithers, what will the DOP do now to maintain the peace? What was the motive behind the Assasination attempt of Denver Mahato and who was behind all of this? So many remain unanswered. Read the next chapter to get the answers.
