I watched with a vacant smile as the building erupted in a sea of heat and light. How could beauty be found in something so immensely destructive?
"This is going to get a reaction." Leo warned from beside me, the sound of wood cracking and crashing filling the air around us.
"That's the point," I responded calmly as we walked back to the car and entered it. This was meant as a message, warning everyone that I wasn't one to be fucked with.
"Don't you think it's a little careless to burn the home of the people you are supposed to lead?" Leo said with his eyes fixed on the road.
"Of course it is."
"Then why did you do it?"
"Like I said, it's a message," I replied.
"He went back on a deal we made, I couldn't let that slide."
"You've never been one to hold a grudge over something as minor as one person's dishonest word."
