Chapter 82- Colleagues

ZARAH~

7, 8, 9, 10, 11. The hours were passing like minutes as I stared at the door, Since the moment he walked in he had remained confined in the office, and no one came in. I had tried calling him numerous times yesterday but they had kept going straight to voicemail.

I let out a deep breath as I rehearsed the words that I had practiced.

"Micheal I—" Before the words could leave my mouth the door of his office opened up, my head turned to its direction and he stepped out the scene made my heart sink, his skin looked slightly pale, and his blue eyes didn't look as vibrant and worst of all his smile was nowhere.

He turned to me, emotion lost in his gaze

"Di—" He stopped as if unable to fully say the word "Come into my office." He ordered, his tone held no hint of kinship and was the dictionary definition of professional. I took in a deep breath as I rose and walked into the office.
