"Alice, my sister, Uncle is here to help, but this big guy feels really dangerous."
Not far away, on a section of the city wall, a towering creature over ten meters tall, a lion-headed figure, was biting a gap into the wall. It was chewing on the stones, then with a loud gulp, swallowed them down. Beneath it lay at least a dozen decent warriors who had already fallen, currently being held back by over twenty soldiers.
However, when a soldier from the front line approached to attack, the giant lion roared, unleashing a terrifying sound wave that shattered the surrounding wall. The soldier who charged in was struck by a severe sonic shockwave and was instantly killed.
"Damn it!" Seeing this, Alice couldn't care less about why Rosen was here. Her beautiful eyes locked onto the lion's head, and with a hum, her dagger disappeared from her waist. The lion leaped high into the air, and suddenly, a sharp dagger appeared out of thin air, spinning rapidly where its head had been moments before.
"An aberration of the bloodline factor technology." Upon seeing the lion's size and sensing the danger along with its special roar ability, Alice quickly made her judgment. But she was also deeply concerned.
"Seal it!" Without hesitation, she knew they had to clear the monster from the wall quickly, especially one so powerful that it could incite chaos. She opened her palm, grasped at the void, and her dagger instantly vanished. She sealed the lion's head within her grasp, then each dagger spun rapidly and lunged towards the giant lion.
Using the Void Replacement technique was not something to be taken lightly; it was a trump card that required sufficient observation time to execute. However, she had already tested that the lion could sense danger and evade, so she needed to create an opportunity during the battle.
Swish, swish, swish! The daggers spun rapidly, intertwining into a beam of light that wrapped around the giant lion, continuously slicing into its flesh, blood spraying as its skin was cut.
Her daggers were elusive, able to flicker into any corner within close range, appearing and disappearing in an almost non-existent speed. However, this rapid repositioning made it challenging to accurately target, limiting her to striking a larger area. But the giant lion seemed unaffected.
"Its defense is too high; I can only cut a bit of skin. I can't sever its body or head." Alice noted, opening her hands as two azure daggers appeared. She surged forward like a cheetah, the daggers dancing to draw the lion's attention. Acting as the main force, her speed was incredible, like a raging wind.
In an instant, she appeared behind the giant lion. Then, one dagger flew toward it, and she used it as a stepping stone to leap into the air, accelerating directly toward the lion's nape.
The lion was enormous, standing like a beast, every muscle radiating a sense of violent power, its crimson eyes devoid of emotion.
"Death strike!" Alice concentrated all her strength into the daggers, the blue blades becoming extremely sharp as they lunged forward. But just as she was about to land a hit, the giant lion suddenly opened its massive mouth, its abdomen abruptly concaving, its chest lifting as a roar filled with ferocity erupted like a collapsing sky.
"Roar!" An even more terrifying roar than before.
Rosen could even see the air around the lion being violently shaken by the high-frequency sound waves, chaotic air blades swirling around it like a storm in response to the roar.
Boom!
Countless air blades indiscriminately slashed in all directions, cutting deep into the solid city wall and ground, creating grotesque cracks, and Alice was sent flying as well.
Yet, when the air blades struck her, they were all blocked by the suddenly materializing wall of daggers.
Boom! One of the air blades swung directly at Rosen's head, but he shattered it with a punch. However, the immense force caught him off guard.
"Explosive Blade!" Alice, with rich combat experience, attacked again the moment she defended herself. Dozens of daggers aligned in a straight line, resembling a massive sword, and with a wave of her hand, they shot like lightning toward the giant lion's vital points.
"Roar." The lion, furious, turned around and swiped with a paw the size of a small mountain, scattering the arranged daggers. When its massive paw met the dagger sword formation, a thunderous boom erupted.
The collision was fierce; the lion's paw was as hard as iron, and the daggers were incredibly sturdy. Though small, they carried enough impact to blast apart a mountain peak.
Rosen watched as a dagger sent flying by the paw directly exploded against a four-story stone building. The collision's immense force instantly shattered the surface of the city wall.
"Howl." The lion's golden fur flared up, becoming erect and incredibly solid and sharp. It pierced through the uneven wall, using its firm and sharp fur to advance, slicing through everything in its path.
Seeing this, Alice quickly retreated but her gaze was already fixed on its massive body: "Bloom!"
Puff, puff!
A few daggers suddenly pierced through the lion's belly, shooting out again, which Alice caught back in her hand.
The lion looked down, bewildered, at the daggers that had created a gaping hole in its abdomen, not fully understanding what had just happened.
It had little intelligence, only a killer instinct.
Once Alice landed a hit, she grew even fiercer. Indeed, it was sharp in sensing threats to its head, but with such a large body, it was completely a live target for her. As long as she could sever its body completely, even if it didn't die, it would be mostly crippled. Then, she could crush it once it was immobilized.
Boom, boom, boom!
The fierce battle on this section of the city wall continued. The giant lion, enraged by the attack, went berserk, slamming down with one paw after another, directly demolishing the segment of the wall, reducing it by half.
If zombies attacked from here now, it would be particularly easy.
But Alice's speed and attacks were even faster; the daggers danced in her hands like bolts of furious lightning.
With specially crafted daggers, combined with her immense power and fruit abilities, she gradually suppressed the giant lion, leaving wounds upon wounds on its body.
However, this giant lion not only had powerful sonic attacks but was also as solid as iron. Its golden mane flared up, appearing as thousands of sharp blades. Rosen estimated that even he would have to go through a lot of trouble to face this monster.
And this was without the creature possessing intelligence, relying solely on speed and strength to kill. If it had combat awareness, this lion would be no easier to deal with than Bartholomew Kuma; fortunately, it did not.
"No attack trajectory, launching attacks directly from within its body? What kind of ability is this?" Rosen observed Alice's combat style and had to admit this woman was truly strong. In the ocean, she would probably have mid-admiral level strength.
Moreover, that kind of ability to launch attacks directly from within could be extremely troublesome if used for assassination or other purposes; it was quite overpowered, almost akin to ignoring defenses.
However, it was apparent that this ability was not easily activated. Yet, that didn't matter; what mattered was that this monster's strength was above two hundred million, perhaps even four hundred million beri. Rosen planned to make his move to intercept it.
Even if he couldn't meet the strength task requirements, reaching the random reset task requirements would be excellent. As for whether Alice would have objections, that was hard to say; after all, he was effectively helping her.
Once he completed his task, if there were any objections, they could be dealt with then. This was too good of an opportunity to waste time getting stronger. Rosen had no intention of catering to the feelings of an adult, especially not one like this female lunatic.
Having had Alice help gauge the strength and attack characteristics of this monster, he was naturally pleased, while also keeping an eye on Ming City's strength for safety. But he felt he had observed enough now.
Just as Rosen was about to take action, however, Natalie suddenly pointed at the sea of flames and said, "Uncle, there are monsters in the fire sea watching us. I've never encountered this kind of aura on the island."
