Back at Stern's Mansion, in a cold dark room stood Alexander.
The mansion was quiet , a different kind of quiet reigned.
Alexander stood in his room with a glass of whiskey in his hands.
The heavy oak door firmly closed.
The room was shrouded in a dim, almost melancholic light, the heavy curtains drawn tight against the outside world. He hadn't touched the papers on his desk, a rare occurrence.
His gaze was fixed on a point somewhere beyond the ornate ceiling, his thoughts a tangled mess.
He'd found himself strangely restless all morning. The house felt… empty.
The usual subtle hum of activity, the quiet efficiency of the staff, seemed muted, somehow lacking. He couldn't quite put his finger on it.
It was absurd, he knew. He barely interacted with her directly. Their exchanges were limited to polite greetings and the occasional request. Yet, her absence had created a void, a subtle shift in the atmosphere of the house.
He missed her quiet competence, the way she shrink under his Gaze. He missed the faint scent of lavender that always clung to her, a clean, comforting fragrance that permeated the air after she'd been in a room. Alexander gave an inaudible sigh.
"do you think she's the one" kalix suddenly asked from the corner of the room.
But Alexander still remained quiet.
kalix sighed and decided to keep his mouth shut.
and kept reading the book in his hands.
" her blood..., it smells familiar"
Alex suddenly spoke.
kalix looked up from his book with a surprised expression.
But he chose not to speak further and went back to reading his book, because he knew this man wouldn't say anything further.
Alexander walked to his desk, his hand reaching out to some papers on them. A familiar face printed on it. He looked at the context of the paper. read:

He stared at the data in front of him With furrowed Brows. "Victoria Roberts" he repeated. That name sounds familiar but he just couldn't recall from where. He placed the paper back on the table and walked to the bathroom.
But somewhere in the corner of the room kalix watched him intensely. He tired to gauge his expression.. He watched his every mood till he got out of sight. kalix stared into the distance lost in thoughts. "What's going on inside your head Alexander" He murmured.
