Dance of Chains

The blackened chains of fire twisted and writhed like living serpents, their tips glowing with molten fury. They lunged toward Zhang Yong and Lilith, tearing through the air with a deafening hiss.

Zhang Yong reacted instantly. The Absolute Krishna Domain flared to life, golden waves of energy rippling outward and disintegrating the chains upon contact. "You'll have to do better than that," he taunted, his voice cold and mocking.

The armored figure didn't flinch. Instead, he raised both hands, and the chains multiplied, erupting from the ground in endless waves. They lashed out in all directions, each strike imbued with a searing heat that turned the very air into a furnace.

Lilith dodged and weaved through the onslaught, her scythe spinning in elegant arcs. Each swing severed a chain, the metal clattering to the ground before dissolving into black smoke. "This guy isn't playing around," she said, her tone half-amused, half-annoyed.

"Neither am I," Zhang Yong replied, stepping forward. His golden blade hummed with power as he swung, the force of his strikes cutting through the chains like paper.

The armored figure laughed, a low, guttural sound that echoed across the battlefield. "You think brute strength will save you? My chains are forged from the souls of the damned. They cannot be destroyed so easily."

As if to prove his point, the severed chains reformed instantly, surging back toward Zhang Yong. One wrapped around his arm, the fiery metal biting into his flesh.

Zhang Yong's eyes narrowed, the golden light of his domain intensifying. The chain around his arm disintegrated into ash as he poured his energy into it. "Your toys are annoying," he said, his voice dripping with disdain.

Lilith landed beside him, her scythe resting on her shoulder. "Got a plan, or should I just keep cutting?"

Zhang Yong smirked. "Keep cutting. I'll handle the big guy."

Without waiting for her reply, he charged toward the armored figure, his blade trailing golden sparks. The chains lunged at him from all sides, but his movements were impossibly fast, each strike of his sword leaving a trail of destruction.

The armored figure raised a hand, and a massive chain burst from the ground, its links glowing with runes of dark power. It crashed toward Zhang Yong like a falling meteor, the force of its descent shaking the earth.

Zhang Yong didn't slow. He leapt into the air, his blade glowing brighter than ever as he swung it downward. The clash of the two forces sent a shockwave rippling through the battlefield, the impact so intense that it blasted away the smaller chains.

When the dust cleared, Zhang Yong stood atop the broken remains of the massive chain, his golden aura crackling around him. "That all you got?"

The armored figure growled, his hands clenching into fists. "You're arrogant, human. But let's see how you handle this!"

He slammed his hands into the ground, and the battlefield transformed. Black flames erupted around them, forming a hellish arena. The air grew heavy, oppressive, and the ground beneath their feet turned to molten rock.

From the flames emerged spectral figures, their faces twisted in eternal agony. They screamed as they lunged toward Zhang Yong and Lilith, their claws dripping with dark energy.

Lilith clicked her tongue. "Great, more cannon fodder."

Zhang Yong stepped forward, his blade glowing with an ominous light. "Stay back. These are mine."

The Absolute Krishna Domain expanded, enveloping the arena. Within its golden glow, the spectral figures faltered, their movements sluggish and uncoordinated. Zhang Yong moved like a phantom, his blade cutting through them with ruthless precision.

Each kill was brutal and final. He decapitated one specter with a single swing, its head rolling across the ground before disintegrating into ash. Another he impaled, twisting the blade cruelly as the creature let out a blood-curdling scream.

The armored figure watched in silence, his expression hidden behind his helm. But his aura grew darker, more oppressive, as he prepared his next move.

Zhang Yong noticed and smirked. "You're next," he said, his voice low and deadly.
