Chapter-38. (Injured).

Selene~

I hesitated for a moment before I pushed back the lingering fear in my chest.

I slowly rose from the bed, my legs feeling unsteady as they came in contact with the cold marble.

The pieces of the dream still playing in the back of my mind. As if wrapping around my mind like an unshakable fog.

Taking a deep breath, I walked toward the window.

My hands still clenching the sheer gown within my fist trying to get even an ounce of calmness.

The cool night air seeped through the cracks, prickling against my warm skin.

As I reached for the latch, my fingers trembled slightly not sure if I should do that but then I forced myself to push it open.

The storm raged outside.

It's been three days since Damien and Maya left. The thought left an unsettling feeling in my heart.

The wind howled, lashing against the trees, trying to strip them bare of their leaves.
