Synopsis

"Daddy, please don't turn off the lights. The monsters will find me." Ana pleaded as she pulled the covers up to her nose.

“Don't worry, Ana. There's no such thing as monsters." He answered before flexing dramatically, earning a giggle from her, "Besides, if they tried to hurt you, I'd just beat 'em up!"

"Promise?"

"Promise." He kissed her forehead before he tucked her in and turned off the light.

"Goodnight, angel."

---

The world changed overnight. A mysterious system appeared in everyone’s minds announcing the detection of a “Breach.”

Monsters unlike anything humanity had ever seen before began to emerge, immediately ending one-third of the world's population.

And that was just in the beginning.

Every father wants to be their daughter’s hero. It’s an unspoken rule written into every man’s DNA. But most fathers aren't pitted up against eight legged abominations.

Frank was just an ordinary man; no training, no experience, just depression and a four year old. Yet, he was all that stood between Ana and certain death.

If that's the way it was, then he couldn't back down. He made a promise, and he would keep it or die trying.

Luckily, the world wasn’t entirely merciless. This "System" granted humanity a fighting chance: otherworldly gifts and powers that defied the laws of nature.

While Frank's gift wasn't all sunshine and rainbows, it did give him power.

Power enough to hopefully keep his daughter safe, and punish the monsters that dared threaten her in the first place!

"I really enjoy the story, particularly how the system unfolds and how the main character evolves over time. It's still too early to say too much, but so far, it’s been incredibly engaging. Overall, I’d give it a 10/10!"

I love the story so far, it has given me a lot of inspiration and I find myself hard pressed to not create something similar with a father and his kids creating a ragtag team of adventurers. Loving Frank, with all of his faults, he is a good dad. There's a lot of action and intense moments that keep you reading. The stats aren't overdone which is nice for a litrpg. The stats are important, of course, but it's like not like every chapter bombards you with a bunch of text to read. The side characters are pretty solid too, they feel like actual people instead of just background noise. Everyone has their own struggles and unique personalities. There's a couple slow points, but it's an important part of the story, the character building is vital. The world building is pretty strong, I honestly expected it to just be another "transported to another world" kind of thing. It's giving some serious survival/horror/litrpg vibes. Honestly worth the read. I didn't have any specific reasons to give a score below 5 stars. It might be generous, but I mean the quality is great, the frequency of updates are solid, the development has no issues by my standards, the characters are wonderful, and the world background was more than I expected. So I don't think it's too much to give it a solid 5 stars. Keep up the good work, I'll save this for reading, and maybe jump into a couple chapters as they are released. My time is limited, but this is one thing that is worth budgeting for.

Nice book, it was fun, read it straight right to the last chapter, it has a bit of comedy at some chapters. The mc, Frank is unique completely different from other MCs... don't want to go deeper not to spoil things, will await more chapters from the author

Great Story, Banging Story, Amazon story— no more words. It's refreshing to see a father-daughter concept with system. Frank is a good father but he might not be a good team member at the moment. Can't wait to see a character development in him. And I already love Elena, Max and Leo. They are sensible, care for Frank; so nothing can be grater than that for me. And Ana is adorable but we need more chs to know about her. Well, now main part why you should read this story. 1. Top-notch grammar. 2. A fast-paced storyline 3. Great Characters. (side + main) 4. Unique Plot line. But it's too early to judge, I hope author-san doesn't disappoint me!

The writing quality is excellent with almost non-existent grammar mistakes, the story transitions from one scene to another without a hitch...overall a banger story worth all your time.

The story starts with a simple premise - mass awakening of monsters throughout the world, and MC is a sort of 'chosen one' with a daughter in tow. So far there's less focus on magic and skills than other stories but the system elements are abundantly present in each chapter, serving as a continuous reminder of MC's growth. It's too early (review is as of ch10) to comment much on the character development, but there are a few established characters and MC's relationship with his daughter remains criticial to the plot. I'm interested to see where this goes! Definitely give it a shot if you're a fan of robust system novels.

I love the story so far. I love the concept of it and how it dives into a system, yet it gives me the feel of not everything being OP> The vibes remind of the book, Blood Warlock Succubus (whatever the title was) in terms of concept, and I really loved that book. The writing quality is also really good, and it's an easy and smooth read. Definitely something I recommend to people who like the post apocalyptic style of writing. Great work!

Hello! Shameless author here! I was inspired to write this story when my son mentioned being afraid monsters might come. I promised him I would beat them up for him, but then I realized: I would be totally screwed if that actually happened! So I started writing 😂. I spent a long time, planning, editing, and reviewing before release, so I look forward to sharing this story with everyone! Still, your feedback is valuable, both positive and negative, so feel free to leave reviews, comments, and if you’re really liking the story, a power stone or two? No? That’s ok too 😅

Here is my review about this novel: Worldbuilding; The worldbuilding is so far quite alright, especially with the system and its the mechanic that is quite interesting. Overall, its fine and has a potential to be explore more. Characters: Frank Gunn is indeed one of the most entertaining main characters with his sarcastic remark and his eagerness to fight the monsters. Furthermore, his relationship with his daughter is a strong point in this story as the author quite showed their closed bond with each others. As for other sides characters, so far they alright for now. Plot: I like the author show quite a lot of fast pace action to make it book more engaging to read. I also like the plot for the story is also quite smooth too. Overall, if you like system novel, I recommend to read this book.
