Milliard Academy

Milliard Academy wasn't a mere institution, it was a legacy to the students who attended and graduated from it.

There, potential is not just discovered, it is honed, sharpened and unleashed. Most the top hunters attended the Academy.

Their storied halls have witnessed the training of some of history's most revered Hunters, like Fiona-The Ultimate Hunter, Ethan-The Shadow and other legends.

And today was a day long awaited by many, those who wish to show their potential and meet the requirements of becoming a student.

"The Practical Exams" Fiona murmured as she observed from the third floor of the Academy.

She couldn't help but feel awestruck by the immense crowd that awaited at the academy observatory room for the start of the Practical.

"Even for a small event as this people come from far and wide to see it" A young Japanese man with silver hair stood beside her.

"Sir Yuichi"

"A wonder to see you here Ultimate Hunter" Yuichi smiled warmly.

"It's an honor to be recognized by 'Copy' Japans number three hunter"

"Please no titles, I'm just a simple teacher who needs to be there for his students. Helping them grow and succeed is my true calling" he said with a humble smile.

"A simple teacher indeed" Fiona grinned "I can't wait to see what the examinants have to offer"

"Of course, this year we have some interesting faces" Yuichi remarked placing his hand on his chin "Is the rumors true?"

"What rumors?" Fiona narrowed her eyes at the crowd

Mr. Yuichi didn't reply, he studied her carefully.

"There have been rumors of a Normie participating in the practical exams" He started walking away "It was stated that you're the bastards sponsor"

"He's not a bastard" Tension built as Lady Fiona faced Mr. Yuichi, He turned to her while she was gave him a death stare.

"Ahh…" He exclaimed satisfied "If only looks could kill"

"Get lost" Fiona snarled.

Mr. Yuichi smirked and continued in his direction.

"Fiona I respect you so I advise you don't ruin your reputation as a teacher before it starts"

When he was out of sight Fiona eased up, she looked at the crowd. According to what Sir Ethan had told her, Casper was participating as planned. Though he refused to tell her of anything about Casper's training and improvement.

"He's doing fine, don't worry about it" That was the response she always got from him. How could she not worry? She was putting her reputation on the line.

"Casper" She thought to herself "Please don't disappoint me"

As the glass doors of the prestigious Milliard Academy creaked open, Sir. Ethan glanced down at his young protégé.

Casper's eyes widened with a mix of awe and trepidation as the grandeur of the academy's contemporary architecture all steel and glass stretched loomed before them.

"Welcome to your proving ground, Casper" Sir. Ethan said, his voice a blend of authority and encouragement. "Today, you'll face the challenges that will show if you've got what it takes to be a hunter"

Casper nodded, clutching his worn backpack tighter. He'd heard countless stories about Milliard's rigorous practical exams, where only the most capable and resourceful students could excel. Now, standing on the brink of his own challenge, he felt the weight of expectation pressing upon him.

The path leading up to the man building was lined with holographic displays showcasing the academy's history and achievements.

As they walked, Sir. Ethan pointed out the notable landmarks, the training grounds where virtual battles were fought, the innovation lab where cutting-edge tech was developed and the Hall of Hunters where digital statues immortalized past legends.

"Every corner here has witnessed acts of bravery and innovation" Sir. Ethan mused. "And now, it's your turn to leave a mark"

Casper's gaze drifted over the students milling about, each absorbed in their own preparation for the day's trials. He felt a pang of uncertainty, how could he, a boy who didn't have any abilities but an item, ever hope to excel in such an illustrious place?

Sensing his student's unease. Sir. Ethan laid a reassuring hand on Casper's shoulder. "Every great hunter faced their first trial with doubt and apprehension. Your journey is just beginning and I have no doubt you will rise to the occasion"

They reached the grand entrance, its doors etched with futuristic designs that seemed to pulse with a soft, electric glow. As they stepped inside, the hum of activity and the scent of new technology and polished steel enveloped them. Casper took a deep breath, feeling a spark of determination ignite within him.

"From today," Sir. Ethan said, his voice echoing through the expansive atrium, "You are not just a student but a hunter in training. Embrace every challenge, question every obstacle, and never stop pushing the boundaries of your courage and ingenuity."

With those words, the mentor and his student continued forward, the echoes of their footsteps corresponding with the academy's vibrant energy, heralding the start of an extraordinary trial.

As Casper and Sir. Ethan stepped into the vast, high-ceilinged atrium of Milliard Academy, a digital display flickered to life above them.

The holographic screens suspended in mid-air, showcased the names and faces of the legendary hunters who had once stood where Casper now stood.

Their deeds and triumphs scrolled in brilliant shimmering text, casting a warm glow over the assembled crowd of new students. And he caught a glimpse of Mistress Fiona in one of the screens, even Sir Ethan was showcased though his identity was hidden in the screen due to when he was a hunter, he had used a mask and a cover name "Shadow."

A resonant voice echoed through the atrium, commanding attention.

"Welcome, aspiring hunters, to the commencement of the Trials. Today marks the beginning of your journey at the Milliards Academy, where your potential will be tested, your limits pushed and your courage forged"

Casper felt a surge of excitement and anxiety as he joined the throng of students gathering in the central all.

Sir Ethan gave him a reassuring nod before moving to stand with the other mentors.

A figure in a sleek, tailored suit stepped forward, their presence exuding authority.

It was Dr. Helena Quinn, the Head-instructor of Milliard Academy, renowned for her brilliance and unwavering commitment to nurturing the next generation of hunters.

"Each of you has been chosen for your unique talents and potential," Dr. Quinn began her voice clear and compelling.

"The trials you are about to face are designed to challenge every aspect of your being-your intellect, your bravery, your resilience, and your capacity for innovation."

She paused letting her words sink in. "

In the coming hours, you will navigate a series of tests that simulate real-world scenarios. You will confront ethical dilemmas, physical challenge, ad collaborative tasks that will require you to think on your feet and work as a team."

Casper glanced around at his fellow students, noting the mix of determination and apprehension on their faces.

He saw his sister, Sofia, it seemed she didn't notice him, she looked tensed and nervous, and somehow it made him feel better.

His eyes stopped at a blue-haired girl. He felt a sensation in his chest where the item was crested into his body.

The girl's eyes suddenly faced his direction. He looked away and the sensation he felt instantly vanished.

"What was that about?" he thought to himself.

Dr. Quinn continued, "These trials are not just about individual success. True hunters should understand the power of unity and importance of supporting one another. Remember, the bonds you forge here will be as crucial as the skills you develop."

A hush fell over the room as Dr. Quinn concluded her speech

"Today, you begin the journey to become the hunters our world needs. Embrace the challenges, trust in your training, and above all, believe in yourselves. The Trials commence now."

With a wave of her hand, the doors leading to the first trial opened, revealing a dungeon portal. Casper took a deep breath, feeling the weight of the moment.

Sir. Ethan leaned in and whispered, "This is your moment, Casper. Show them what you're made of."

With determination burning in his eyes, Casper stepped forward ready to face his trials and begin his journey toward becoming a true hunter
