Caelan tried to embrace me, but was suddenly restrained by bodyguards in black suits that appeared out of nowhere.
Vivienne sauntered in, casually backhanding him across the face, and sneered:
"Well, well, Caelan. You've got some nerve showing up here. Haven't you screwed up Aria's life enough already?!"
Caelan looked at me with guilt-ridden eyes:
"I'm sorry, Aria. I know you hate me. This is all my fault. I'll spend my entire life making it up to you. I'll give you anything you want. Please, just give me one more chance, won't you?"
"You're wrong, Caelan. I don't hate you."
Before Caelan could feel any relief, I continued calmly:
"I just regret. Regret ever knowing you, and even more, regret marrying you."
