**On the other side...**
By the time evening came, Prisha and Mahi had reached their home. Prisha was keeping her clothes in her wardrobe when suddenly there was a knock at her room, and that man said, "So, my child has come back."
Hearing his voice, a smile appeared on Prisha's face. She turned around and saw a 50-year-old man standing in front of her. She went to him, hugged him, and said, "I missed you a lot, Papa! How are you?"
Her father lovingly ran his hand through her hair and said, "Dear, you were gone for just two days, and you already started missing me. When you get married and leave, I don't know what will happen to you."*
Hearing this, Prisha broke the hug and said, "Dad, please don't talk like that. Anyway, I am just 19 years old. Who gets married so early? You have to tolerate me for at least eight more years; only after that will I think about marriage. Until then, no chance...!"
Prisha refused firmly. Seeing her say this, her father smiled. Just then, his phone rang. When he checked his phone, a serious expression came over his face because it was a call from Mr. Singhania.
Prisha looked at his phone and said, "Look, your call is here...! Long live the duo of Mr. Singhania and Mr. Sharma!"
Saying this, Prisha left the room because she knew that Mr. Sharma would have a long conversation with Mr. Singhania. Mr. Sharma smiled at her comment and picked up the call. From the other side, Mr. Singhania said, "Sharma, have you prepared the file? I want you to send it to Rudram. He should have no other option but to marry Vanshika."
At that moment, Mr. Sharma was holding that file in his hands. Looking at it, he said, "Yes, sir, I have prepared the files, but I think you should talk properly to Rudram Baba once. You know his anger well. If Madam Vanshika faces any trouble after the marriage, handling the situation will be difficult. And I feel that Rudram..."
"Just do as you are told. You are not allowed to interfere in family matters."
Mr. Singhania interrupted in a stern tone.
Hearing this, Mr. Sharma replied, "Yes, sir, I understand. I will send this file to Rudram Baba as soon as possible."
"Good. And also tell him that if he doesn't sign these papers, the consequences will be severe…"
Saying this, Mr. Singhania disconnected the call.
Mr. Sharma sighed and muttered, "I don't know what will happen to this father-son duo."
Just then, Prisha called from behind, "If you don't come here, your daughter will also do something. Come quickly, the food is ready!"
Mr. Sharma replied, "Yes, I'm coming..."
Prisha was serving the food while Mr. Sharma took his seat. Prisha's mother was no more, and she and Mr. Sharma lived alone. Prisha was just 19 years old and was in college. Mr. Sharma mostly stayed at the Singhania Mansion because Mr. Singhania frequently needed him. One could say that Prisha mostly lived alone.
Prisha served food to Mr. Sharma and sat down. But Mr. Sharma's focus was not on the food; he was lost in thoughts about Mr. Singhania's words. Seeing this, Prisha said, "Dad, have you also kept a Karva Chauth fast for Mr. Singhania that you can't eat without seeing his face?"
Mr. Sharma said, "What are you saying, dear?"
Prisha replied, "I'm telling the truth, Dad... Since his call came, you have been restless. It seems like if you don't meet him, you won't even be able to eat. You come home after so many days, and even then, you don't sit and eat with me. Don't you think this is wrong?"
Saying this, Prisha got upset. Seeing this, Mr. Sharma said, "Okay, fine, forgive me this time. It won't happen again. Now tell me, how was your Goa trip? What all did you do there?"
**"Goa trip..."** Prisha repeated to herself and started thinking about what exactly she did. The first thing that came to her mind was the night she spent with a stranger. In her mind, all those moments started playing in slow motion, along with the eagle tattoo on that man's back. Prisha started feeling a strange restlessness, as if she had entered another world.
Seeing her lost, Mr. Sharma asked,"What happened, dear? Tell me something."
Prisha snapped back to reality and said, "Nothing much, just had fun with friends, that's all."
Saying this, she focused on her food, avoiding eye contact with Mr. Sharma. Mr. Sharma smiled and said, "That's good... It's nice to hang out with friends. I have been thinking for a few days that I should introduce you to Mr. Singhania. I have already talked to him about you. After me, you can work with him."
Prisha was once again surprised and asked, "After you? Are you taking retirement?"
Now, Mr. Sharma's face turned serious. He said, "Not retirement, dear, but you know my condition. I can't work as much as before. Because of my illness, I can't assist Mr. Singhania like before. I think he will definitely take you under his wing. So, I was thinking of taking you with me tomorrow."
Prisha, shocked, asked, "Tomorrow itself??"
Mr. Sharma nodded and said, "Yes, dear, tomorrow itself. You and I are going to the Singhania Mansion tomorrow. Skip college for the day."
Although Prisha wanted to refuse, as she had planned to teach Kunal a lesson in college, her dad looked quite serious. So, she couldn't refuse and hesitantly agreed, then resumed eating.
The next morning, around 10 AM,
Prisha stood outside the Singhania Mansion with her father. She was carefully observing the mansion because it was enormous. She had heard that the rooms in this mansion were bigger than some houses in Bangalore, and today she was about to witness it with her own eyes.
Mr. Sharma placed his hand on Prisha's shoulder and said, "Come on, dear, let's go inside."
Prisha nodded slowly and started walking inside with Mr. Sharma. As soon as the gate of the Singhania Mansion opened, Prisha's eyes widened with surprise. The mansion was even more impressive than she had heard. She hadn't even seen the inside yet, and she was already very impressed.
Instead of taking Prisha inside, Mr. Sharma led her toward the garden area because Mr. Singhania was sitting there. He was talking to a manager when Mr. Sharma approached him with Prisha and said, "Good morning, Mr. Singhania."
Hearing Mr. Sharma's voice, a smile appeared on Mr. Singhania's face. Looking at Mr. Sharma, he replied, "Good morning."
Then, his eyes fell on Prisha, and he immediately understood that she was Mr. Sharma's daughter. Smiling, he said, "Wow, so this is your daughter, Prisha? She has grown up so much! How old is she?"
Mr. Sharma brought Prisha forward, and she greeted him, "Good morning, sir. My name is Prisha, and I am 19 years old."
Mr. Singhania smiled and said, "Mr. Sharma must have already told you why he brought you here today. He wants you to work with me. Since Mr. Sharma is my old assistant and a friend, if he says you are suitable, then I believe it. I want you to start learning work from now so that you don't face difficulties later."
Prisha replied, "As you say…"
Just then, Mr. Singhania points toward a man. That man comes near him, and Mr. Singhania says to him, "Show Prisha her room. From now on, she will stay here, just like Mr. Sharma..."
That boy nods his head in agreement and gestures for Prisha to follow him. Prisha looks at her dad once, and Mr. Sharma also tells her to go with the boy. So, Prisha starts walking with him. They had now reached the other side of the mansion.
Prisha could see how huge this mansion was—an entire city could live here! It was no surprise that the Singhania family was one of the richest families in the country.
She asks the man, "Does Mr. Singhania live alone? Doesn't he have any family?"
To this, the boy replies, "No, Mr. Singhania lives with his younger son and elder daughter-in-law. His elder son had an accident six months ago; otherwise, they all would have lived together. Please come this way..."
Hearing this, Prisha nods her head and starts following him. While passing by a certain place, she notices a garage filled with a line of luxury cars. She had only seen such cars in videos or photos, but seeing them in real life made her eyes widen in amazement.
She asks the boy, "Does Mr. Singhania also have a passion for cars?"
The boy replies, "No, his younger son does. But it would be better if you stay away from these cars. He doesn't like anyone touching his things or even looking at them."
Hearing this, Prisha smirks and says, "If I had such cars, I wouldn't tolerate it either."
Once again, she starts following the man. The man stops in front of a room and says, "From today, this will be your room. Your belongings will be shifted here."
Saying this, he starts leaving, but then he notices that Prisha is looking in the other direction. Seeing this, the man says, "Ma'am, I have one request for you—please don't go to that side of the house at all. Mr. Singhania's younger son, Mr. Rudram Singhania, lives there. No one goes there except a few servants. So, I would advise you not to go there either."
Prisha nods her head in agreement, and the man leaves.
After he leaves, Prisha places her hand on the door handle to enter her room but suddenly turns to look in the direction where Rudram lives and says, "I wonder what kind of person lives there, who doesn't even let anyone come near."
