Chapter 242: The Farewell Feast

Hogwarts hosted a grand farewell feast.

The banners of the three schools hung on the walls, continuously showering down golden and silver lights.

Perhaps because it was their last time at Hogwarts, the students from Durmstrang and Beauxbatons began to let loose.

With the Triwizard Tournament over, loudly supporting Jane Yu no longer had the connotation of collusion, and she received a treatment similar to that of Krum upon arrival, even exceeding it.

"Miss Yu, could I have your autograph and a photo?"

Voices with Bulgarian, French, and other accents speaking awkward English kept sounding around her.

Jane had to maintain a stiff smile, signing their strange items with a quill or lipstick—

Robes, hats, her cards... posters...

She felt like she was turning into a typewriter.

Those who successfully got her autograph wore expressions of extreme excitement, loudly boasting to those around them in languages she couldn't understand:

"(I'm going to use a Permanent Sticking Charm to stick this poster on my wall! She can look at me every day!)"

"(See this statue? It's the dragon-taming version that was so hard to grab!)"

"(If she could come to our school, I'd give her my bed and sleep under a bridge!)"

The farewell feast turned into a massive personal signing event, with Dumbledore's voice barely audible over the noise.

Fleur, using her heritage advantage, gracefully squeezed through the dense crowd, smiling as she handed Jane a stack of moving photos:

"I think we'll be seeing each other soon, Madame Maxime told me—"

Her words were drowned out by a wave of cheering from the students, causing both to look up in surprise towards the center of the Great Hall.

For the first time, Jane realized that Durmstrang and Beauxbatons could create as much commotion as Hogwarts students!

Someone started distributing posters and cards, sparking rounds of scrambles.

Cakes on the tables were pushed to the floor, turning into cream mush; sausages and ham pizzas were thrown everywhere; pots and pans clattered to the ground, trampled by students in a hurry to bend down, wasting food and angering the professors whose faces turned dark.

And she was surrounded by a dense crowd, with Slytherin students having to temporarily sit at the Ravenclaw table; Beauxbatons and Durmstrang students, trying to get closer to her, nearly pushed her onto the table!

"Order! Order! Form a line!"

Madame Maxime frowned, having to personally intervene to stop the enthusiastic students.

Her tall figure blocked in front of Jane, causing the Beauxbatons students to obediently exchange glances, bow slightly, and line up.

"(I can't believe it, you have no manners at all, shaming Beauxbatons!)"

Madame Maxime loudly reprimanded in French.

In fact, before coming to Hogwarts, she often worried her students would reveal their true nature in front of others.

Until the final farewell feast, she had relaxed, believing these elite students had good manners.

Little did she know—

Her students caused such chaos at the end!

Beauxbatons' reputation was tarnished at Hogwarts! Making her unable to hold her head high in front of Dumbledore!

And without Karkaroff, the Durmstrang students seemed more optimistic and didn't mind losing face.

After all, the moment Karkaroff fled, their dignity had already been lost in front of Beauxbatons and Hogwarts students.

Their originally red-brown robes and fur cloaks were replaced with British wizard robe styles and colors, and their uniform buzz cuts turned into layered hairstyles, appearing much more relaxed and less uptight than before.

They loudly clamored to duel with Beauxbatons and Hogwarts students, successfully pushing to the front.

"New hairstyle, no more headmaster rules now." Seeing Jane's curious look, a Durmstrang boy slicked back his side-parted hair, "Uniform clothes and haircuts before departure, to look neat and spirited—honestly, I have to thank Karkaroff for running away, otherwise, I don't know how long I'd have to endure that prisoner-like haircut!"

Jane realized it was covered in hair gel, almost rivaling Draco's.

"It's a pity we didn't have more time together." He said in English with a rolling accent, "Otherwise, we could exchange more culture, duel with war magic, and teach you diving and sailing our big ships."

Hearing this, Jane was once again grateful she didn't transfer to Durmstrang.

What a hardcore battle school it is!

...

Having sent off the students, what remained were the intense assignments and exams.

But Jane found that this was no longer a challenge for her.

With the Ravenclaw Diadem enhancing her, her learning speed was phenomenal—almost like a scanner!

And with the help of the Resurrection Stone, she had brand new perspectives for her essays!

"I've never felt my memory be this good."

Picking up her quill and writing furiously, with the diadem on her head, Jane sighed contentedly:

"No wonder Lady Ravenclaw was the wisest founder, with this diadem, I could even take 24 courses and read the entire library."

Hearing this, the spirit of Bridget Wenlock, a famous Arithmancer who died in 1286, gloomily complained beside her:

"Oh, Ravenclaw, how dreadful—we Hufflepuffs are the hardest working—but people always mistake me for a Ravenclaw student—"

She looked sorrowfully at Jane's completed Arithmancy assignment on the number seven and advised:

"You must protect your research, these essays should be locked away, like I did—written in invisible ink, sentences inverted in all directions, expressed in different languages—"

Jane wisely sent her away before she could start another round of complaints and nagging:

"Thank you for your help, looking forward to meeting again."

"No, I do not look forward to it." Being sent back to the world of the dead, Wenlock sighed with relief, "You must live well, and never meet again."

Jane turned the Resurrection Stone three times, and a translucent spirit emerged.

It was Artemisia Lufkin, the British Minister for Magic who died in 1825, perfect for helping her complete her History of Magic assignment:

"Send off, next—"

"Next—"
