Woah!

As I look on in astonishment at the sheer amount of experience obtained from a single kill, I feel a slight bump in my ability to reason, now being able to readily parallel process separate trains of thought simultaneously.

Although intrigued by my sudden increase in prowess, I take note with my newfound deduction that I don't have the time to scour my status window--my new usage of energy allocation has a time limit.

The fiery blue burning across my skin, the still-enervated spiders all recoil when I pump out even more mana, my vitalized cells emboldened to their maximum capacity.

Feeling such a sensationally deep warmth that I've only ever been able to witness from others of higher standing than my own, I clench my fist, the power clawing and writhing within scratching at my skin, barely encased as it violently fought for its release.

"Who am I to hold all of this back?"

THOOM!

The power released in my single jump so staggering that the earth left behind was completely gutted in a 20-meter radius, I dashed towards the spider who last shot webbing at me, intent on disrupting the spiders' order of release.

A wet splatter resounded as my resultant collision completely demolished the spider at the end of my fist who had no time to react.

19 D+ rank monsters remaining.

Three spiders nearby desperately shot out sprays of acid, surrounding me in an inescapable dome.

I didn't stop.

12 D+ rank monsters remaining.

The afterimage of my attack only now dissipating, I look on at the damage I dealt.

I had released a simple outburst of my energy through a concentrated punch, intended only to dispel the acid through surrounding air pressure.

However, the release of my fist was so devastating that I instead released a full-blown energy blast that extended from my forearm to over 50 meters past my torso, vaporizing any that had been caught in its wake.

With their numbers being in what could only be the hundreds, the spiders began to understand the gravity of the situation, opting for simultaneous bombardments instead of their drawn-out game of wearing me down.

Looking on at dozens of webbings fly at me, I sense an even greater burning desire by the spiders to finish me here. The webs flying at even greater speeds than before, I could even see a cone of air beginning to form behind their movements, indicative of the sound barrier being crossed.

Funnily enough, I feel no fear at what the equivalent to would be bowling balls flying at me at subsonic speeds. While this certainly would've given me trouble before, the current version of me can only laugh at the futility.

WHOOMPH!

From the simple sweep of my hand, their onslaught in its entirety was rendered useless as the resultant wind pressure sent the attacks flying away at even greater velocities than they possessed initially, eventually popping all of the web constructions and dissipating the acid with sheer pressure.

The shockwave was so deafening that you could feel the earth tremble, reverberating through the body as the chittering of bones was induced.

The spiders' huge numbers made insignificant in the face of my shattering blow; they began to be displaced as they all gruesomely began to be dismembered as the wind rippled through and out of their torsos, tearing apart limbs in the process.

As I watched the spiders die off one by one, the system would cite that 9 remained, then 4, then 1, only to finally reach 0 as tens of spiders beyond the ones needed in the quest still suffered the effects of my attack.

The sheer force of the aftershock of my attack creating such pressure that even withstanding my own ground required my feet to begin to dig deeper into the earth, I look again at the hand responsible for such power, a reminder of my growth.

"GRAHHHH!"

Instead of victory etching its way into my psyche, I was instead met with unquantifiable pain as an electrifying jolt spread through my body, encompassing the entirety of my senses.

"GAHHHHHHHH!"

The pain so deep that it could only be enunciated with the analogy of thousands of needles all digging deep into your skin, then muscle, then finally bones only to then wriggle inside you to invoke even further agony, I cry out again, clutching my chest as I feel my heart begin to skip a couple beats.

"As a reward for completing the mission, you will be..."

Hanging on to conscious thought for only a second, I again enter my blindingly hot writing on the ground as the pain drowns out the System Voice.

With smoke coming off of my entire body, it's clear that my healing is working in overtime, but simply can't work fast enough to deal with all the damage I've taken.
