Doungoun of ranking

As Lan Tian and Uncle Shin entered the dungeon, the latter glanced around with a puzzled look. "Dungeon of Ranking? What kind of weird name is that for a dungeon?" He shook his head and turned to Lan Tian. "Alright, better tell me how you even knew there was a dungeon here."

Lan Tian hesitated, his gaze avoiding Uncle Shin's questioning eyes.

Uncle Shin sighed, waving it off. "Fine, if you don't want to tell me, don't. I'm not going to force you."

Lan Tian stayed silent, his thoughts racing. I can't tell him the truth. I know about this dungeon from my past life...

He glanced around the eerie dungeon, recalling its true nature. This dungeon is classified as E-rank, but its monsters give three times more experience than any other E-rank dungeon. And the best part? The monsters here are actually weaker than normal E-rank monsters.

A small smile crept onto his face as he remembered the history. In my past life, an E-rank hunter stumbled upon this dungeon by chance. He cleared it all alone, defeated the boss, and immediately rose to D-rank. That discovery was pure luck.

Uncle Shin, still looking around, muttered, "You're acting weird, kid."

Lan Tian ignored him, lost in thought. When the officials came to investigate, they found out this dungeon wasn't just any low-rank dungeon—it was a one-time dungeon. It disappeared completely after the boss was defeated.

Narrator :

In this world, dungeons are divided into two distinct categories.

The first type consists of low-ranking dungeons, from E to F rank, which don't disappear after their bosses are defeated. These dungeons become popular grinding spots for low-level hunters, as their resources and monsters reset over time.

The second type consists of high-ranking dungeons, from D to SSS rank, which vanish entirely after their bosses are defeated. These one-time dungeons are highly dangerous and rare, with treasures and rewards that are worth the risk.

However, this dungeon was different—a low-ranking anomaly behaving like a high-ranking treasure trove.

Lan Tian smirked to himself, keeping the knowledge buried. This is my chance. A dungeon like this is too rare, and no one knows its secret but me.

Uncle Shin, why are you stuck? Just start killing the monsters! Before anyone discovers the dungeon, we need to clear it. I don't want to share my experience points!" Lan Tian's voice echoed through the dungeon.

Uncle Shin scratched his head and muttered, "You're way too greedy, kid. Alright, alright, I'm on it."

Lan Tian sighed in frustration. "Hurry up, Uncle Shin. This dungeon is special. If we waste time, someone else might find it, and I'm not splitting the rewards!"

Uncle Shin finally sprang into action, slicing through a goblin with a swift swing of his sword. "Fine, fine! But you better explain why you're acting so crazy about this dungeon later."

Lan Tian smirked, focusing on the goblins ahead. I can't tell him the truth... This dungeon is a goldmine, and I'm not letting anyone else take it.

Lan tian finally started slashing through the monsters—goblins, skeletons, and even some low-level orbs. The dungeon was swarming, but the monsters fell easily to their combined effort.

A system notification echoed in Lan Tian's mind: Congratulations! You have leveled up: Level 13 → 14.

Lan Tian grinned. "So, you leveled up, huh?" Uncle Shin asked, panting slightly.

"Yeah," Lan Tian replied casually, wiping the sweat from his forehead. "Now I'm tired. Aren't you?"

Uncle Shin nodded, breathing heavily. "Yeah, I could use a break."

"Oh, look over there! A nice big rock. I'm going to sit down for a bit," Lan Tian said as he walked toward it.

Uncle Shin's expression darkened. "You brat! Don't you know how to respect someone older than you? I'm like your father, so you should let me sit there first!"

Lan Tian smirked mischievously, plopping down on the rock. "Nope, I'm not a good person at all. So, I'm not giving you the chance to sit here."

Uncle Shin glared at him, but Lan Tian just leaned back against the rock, clearly enjoying himself. "Rest up, Uncle Shin. We'll go defeat the boss monster after this."

But suddenly, the rock beneath Lan Tian started to shift. He froze as it began to move, realizing too late that it wasn't a rock at all. It slowly rose, revealing itself to be a massive monster.

"Lan Tian, get off that thing! It's a monster—and it's D-rank!" Uncle Shin shouted, his sword already drawn.

Lan Tian jumped back, wide-eyed. "How is this possible? There's no way a D-rank monster should be in an E-rank dungeon!"

He clenched his fists as he processed the situation. "Could this be a dungeon distortion again? No… I don't think so. But even the boss monster here should only be E-rank!"

Before he could finish, the monster roared and lunged at him. Lan Tian barely managed to dodge, tumbling to the side just in time. The monster's clawed strike left a deep gash in the ground where he'd been sitting moments ago.

"That was way too close," Lan Tian muttered, his breathing ragged. "If I had been even a second slower, I'd be dead right now."

The massive D-rank monster towered above them, its gray, rock-like body pulsating with an eerie energy. It had jagged, stone-like spikes protruding from its back, and its glowing, yellow eyes locked onto Lan Tian with deadly intent.

Lan Tian scrambled to his feet, gripping his sword tightly. "Uncle Shin, this thing's stronger than we thought. Be ready!"

"Don't tell me what to do, brat!" Uncle Shin barked, already charging forward. He swung his sword with precision, aiming for the monster's exposed joints. But the monster raised its arm, deflecting the attack with its rocky exterior. The clash of metal on stone echoed through the dungeon.

The monster retaliated with a powerful swipe, sending Uncle Shin flying back into a nearby wall. He grunted, wiping blood from his lip. "Damn, it's tougher than it looks!"

Lan Tian took this moment to strike, dashing toward the monster's side. He aimed for its legs, slashing at the softer joints between the rocky plates. His sword connected, chipping away a small piece of the monster's armor. The creature roared in pain, turning its full attention to him.

"Got you angry, huh?" Lan Tian smirked, but his confidence wavered as the monster slammed its fists into the ground, sending shockwaves rippling through the dungeon. The floor cracked beneath his feet, and he stumbled.

The monster lunged, its massive claws aimed directly at Lan Tian. He rolled to the side just in time, the claws grazing his shoulder. "Damn it, this thing's faster than I expected!" he muttered, clutching his sword tighter.

Uncle Shin recovered and joined the fight, circling behind the monster. "Keep it distracted, kid! I'll go for the back!"

Lan Tian nodded, dodging another strike and taunting the creature. "Come on, big guy! Is that all you've got?" He slashed at its arms and legs, keeping it focused on him while Uncle Shin crept closer.

With a roar, the monster reared back, preparing to smash both fists into the ground. Lan Tian saw his opening. "Now, Uncle Shin!"

Uncle Shin leaped onto the monster's back, plunging his sword into the base of its neck. The monster thrashed wildly, trying to shake him off. Lan Tian took advantage of the distraction and aimed for its exposed chest.

With a powerful strike, Lan Tian's sword pierced the monster's core, a glowing, crystalline structure embedded in its chest. The creature let out a final, deafening roar before collapsing to the ground.

Lan Tian fell to his knees, breathing heavily. "That… was too close."

Uncle Shin jumped down from the now-lifeless monster, shaking his head. "You call that close? That thing almost turned you into paste!"

Lan Tian smirked, wiping sweat from his brow. "But we won, didn't we?"

Uncle Shin chuckled reluctantly. "Yeah, we did. But next time, maybe don't sit on a monster pretending to be a rock."

As the monster's lifeless body hit the ground, a faint glow began to surround Lan Tian. His body felt lighter, his strength surged, and a familiar notification echoed in his mind:

Congratulations! You have leveled up: Level 14 → Level 15. Additional Reward Instant healing

Lan Tian let out a satisfied sigh. "Finally! That fight wasn't for nothing."

Uncle Shin glanced at him, his expression sour. "Hey, you brat! How did you level up and I didn't? That's completely unfair!"

Lan Tian smirked, stretching his arms as if to rub it in. "Maybe it's because I'm not an old-fashioned guy like you, Uncle Shin. I've got that modern touch."

Uncle Shin's face turned red with anger. "You arrogant little punk—!" He stopped mid-rant, took a deep breath, and crossed his arms. "You know what? Forget it. At least I'm not a walking disaster like you."

Lan Tian raised an eyebrow. "Walking disaster?"

Uncle Shin nodded with exaggerated seriousness. "Yes, a walking disaster. Everything you do causes trouble for us. Like today—who's the genius who said, 'Let's sit on this comfy rock' that turned out to be a monster? Oh right, you."

Lan Tian laughed awkwardly, scratching the back of his head. "Okay, okay, fair point. But hey, I also killed the monster, didn't I?"

Uncle Shin shook his head, grumbling. "I swear, one of these days, your disasters are going to kill us both…"

Lan Tian grinned mischievously. "Well, at least we'll go out as legends."

"Legends of stupidity," Uncle Shin muttered under his breath, making Lan Tian laugh even harder.

"Let's go, Uncle Shin! It's time to defeat the boss monster. After we defeat it, you'll definitely level up."Lan tian

"After defeating the high-level monster and leveling up, it wasn't too hard for Lan Tian and Uncle Shin to defeat the boss monster.

Congratulations! You leveled up: Level 14 → Level 15.

Congratulations, Uncle Shin! You're now Level 15!

Uncle shin smiled. 'Yes… thank you. It's because of our teamwork. If you weren't here, I wouldn't have been able to level up this much in such a short amount of time.'"

Lan Tian smiled and said, "Look, there's an old man thanking me for helping him grind experience... How funny."

Uncle Shin's face turned red with embarrassment. "Hey, you little punk... I'm going to complain to your parents about your behavior."

Lan Tian's smile faded, and he replied, "My parents are no longer alive. I only have my grandpa."

Uncle Shin immediately felt embarrassed, but also a pang of guilt for Lan Tian. He sighed and said, "Hey brat, who said you don't have a family? I'm like a father to you... so I'm a member of family too."

" forget about this," Lan Tian said, brushing it off. "So, Uncle Shin, which type of profession do you have to select?"

Uncle Shin scratched his head. "Oh, I almost forgot about that... I was just checking. Wow, looks like I'm really lucky! I have three hidden professions to choose from!"

"Wow... so what are they?" Lan Tian asked, his curiosity piqued.

Uncle Shin grinned and listed them off. "1. Summoner. 2. Spirit Summoner. 3. Necromancer."

The moment Lan Tian heard the word Necromancer, his body started shaking. His eyes widened in fear, and before he could respond, he collapsed to the floor, falling unconscious.....
