Lan Tian vs. Twin-Headed Serpent

The dungeon trembled as the twin-headed serpent let out a deafening roar. Its lava-dripping fangs glowed ominously in the dim light, and each movement sent shockwaves through the ground.

Lan Tian gritted his teeth, gripping his sword tightly. "Damn it... this thing's way above my level."

He was only level 18—barely strong enough to fight elite monsters, let alone a boss. His strength was decent, but his speed was lacking, and against something this fast and powerful...

This is gonna suck.

The Battle Begins

One of the serpent's heads lunged, aiming straight for Lan Tian's chest.

His reflexes screamed, but his speed was too low to dodge normally.

Fine. I'll cheat a little.

With a flick of his fingers, telekinesis activated, yanking himself backward at the last second. The serpent's fangs grazed his shirt, ripping fabric instead of flesh.

Lan Tian barely landed on his feet before the second head swung around.

BOOM!

The impact sent him flying, smashing into a dungeon wall.

Crap, that hurt. He groaned, pushing himself up. The monster wasn't just fast—it was way stronger than him.

From behind a rock, Sneaky peeked out. "Uh... so... we running away?"

Lan Tian spat blood onto the ground. "No. I need the experience."

Sneaky's jaw dropped. "Experience?! You need a damn hospital!"

But Lan Tian ignored him. He wasn't fast, and he wasn't strong enough to trade blows.

But he was smart.

Using Telekinesis Strategically

The serpent lunged again.

This time, Lan Tian used telekinesis mid-dodge—not to move himself, but to yank the serpent's tail, throwing off its balance.

The massive beast stumbled, its head slamming into the ground.

Lan Tian took his chance.

He rushed forward, sword glowing with poison, and stabbed it straight into the monster's neck

But—

CLANG!

The blade bounced off its rock-hard scales like a cheap plastic toy.

Lan Tian froze. "…Seriously?"

The serpent recovered instantly, swinging its tail.

WHAM!

Lan Tian was sent flying again, rolling across the dungeon floor like a ragdoll.

Sneaky winced. "Oof. That looked painful."

Lan Tian coughed, barely standing. "Okay… so poison alone won't work."

Borrowing Sneaky's Power

Sneaky started crawling backward. "Uh. I don't like that look on your face."

Lan Tian smirked. "Too bad."

With a snap of his fingers, he activated Beastmaster's Authority—stealing Sneaky's poison power.

Sneaky collapsed instantly. "Y-YOU DAMN LEECH—"

Lan Tian ignored him, feeling the power surge into his body. His poison intensified, turning into a toxic mist around his sword.

Alright. Time for Plan B.

The Final Move

The serpent charged again, both heads attacking at once.

But Lan Tian was ready.

At the last second, he used telekinesis—this time, on the ground itself, ripping out a chunk of dungeon floor.

The stone shot up, slamming into one of the heads, momentarily stunning it.

Lan Tian leapt onto its back, using telekinesis to anchor himself as the monster thrashed wildly.

Then—he drove his poison-infused sword straight into its eye.

The venom spread instantly, melting the soft tissue. The monster screeched, its body spasming.

Lan Tian clung on for dear life. "Oh, stop struggling and just DIE!"

The second head twisted around, trying to snap at him—

But the poison had already reached its brain.

With a final gurgling roar, the massive beast collapsed, its body convulsing one last time before going still.

DING!

Boss Monster Defeated!

Lan Tian dropped to the ground, completely drained.

Sneaky, still face-down on the floor, groaned. "I feel like I just got mugged."

Lan Tian patted him on the head. "You kinda did."

Sneaky glared at him. "I hate you."

Lan Tian grinned. "Love you too."

He cracked his knuckles, glancing at the remains of the boss.

"That was rough... But I got a ton of experience from it." His eyes gleamed. "If I keep this up... I'll be unstoppable soon."

DING!

Congratulations! You have leveled up from 18 → 21!

Lan Tian pumped his fist, his face lighting up. "Hell yeah! Finally, some progress!"

Without wasting time, he activated telekinesis, lifting the boss monster's spirit stone from the ground and floating it toward Sneaky.

"Here," he said, tossing it over. "Eat this."

Sneaky, still shaking from the last battle, stared at the massive spirit stone in horror. "W-Wait… WHAT?! That thing is HUGE!"

Lan Tian smirked. "Then chew faster."

Sneaky gulped, but seeing Lan Tian's 'I'm not asking' face, he reluctantly swallowed the spirit stone whole.

DING!

Congratulations! Sneaky has leveled up from 5 → 13!

Sneaky froze, his whole body shuddering violently as a burst of energy erupted inside him. His scales darkened, his poison thickened, and a faint aura of power surrounded him.

"W-WHAT THE HELL IS THIS?!" he screeched. "I leveled up straight to 13?! THAT'S INSANE!"

Just then—

DING!

Congratulations! You have leveled up from 21 → 23!

Lan Tian's eyes widened, then his grin grew even bigger.

"Wait… so because of my Beast Master profession… I GET BONUS LEVELS TOO?!"

Sneaky's jaw dropped. "YOU'RE LEVELLING UP JUST BECAUSE I ATE A ROCK?!"

Lan Tian patted his head. "Good job, my little EXP generator."

Sneaky's soul left his body.

WHAAAAAAT! WTF...

You are aleready level 23. You brat

CRYING!
