Chapter 18: The Infernal Abyss Reborn

With the Infernal Abyss now part of his growing domain, Xuian felt a surge of fiery energy course through his veins. The dimensional link between the Whispering Abyss and the Infernal Abyss strengthened, forming an intricate web of power. His forces stood victorious, though the battle had left its marks.

Xuian surveyed the fiery expanse. "This realm has potential, but it's too chaotic. We'll reshape it to serve our needs."

[System Notification]

Domain: Infernal Abyss Status: Integrated. Modifications Available: Reinforce Core (2000 Abyssal Coins). Terraform Terrain (500 Magma Stones). Construct Dimensional Citadel (1000 Infernal Shards). Summon Infernal Entities (Varied Costs).

Xuian opened the system interface and selected Reinforce Core and Terraform Terrain, allocating the required resources. The fiery landscape around the dimension core began to shift, the chaotic rivers of lava converging into structured canals, while jagged spires of rock smoothed into fortifiable towers.

The Ice Spirit Seer floated beside Xuian, her voice calm and reverent. "Master, the stabilization of the Infernal Abyss will make it easier to extract resources and defend against intruders. What are your orders for the future development?"

Xuian's eyes gleamed with ambition. "Construct the Dimensional Citadel next. This will serve as a fortress and resource hub. After that, summon infernal entities loyal to me. We need their strength for future expansions."

A Visitor from the Unknown

As Xuian oversaw the transformation of the Infernal Abyss, a distortion rippled through the dimensional gates. The Phantom Knight appeared beside him, his blade drawn.

"Master, someone has entered our domain uninvited," the knight reported.

Xuian's gaze sharpened. "Who dares trespass?"

A figure emerged from the distortion—a tall, cloaked man with crimson eyes and an aura of death. His voice echoed like a thousand whispers. "Xuian of the Whispering Abyss. I am Velkar, envoy of the Eternal Revenant Council. Your rapid conquests have not gone unnoticed."

The name sent a ripple of tension through Xuian's council. The Eternal Revenant Council was a powerful coalition of ancient undead lords who governed dozens of dimensions.

Xuian stepped forward, unfazed. "And what does the Council want with me?"

Velkar's lips curled into a smile. "You've integrated two dimensions in rapid succession and demonstrated an unusual affinity for command. The Council sees potential in you. They offer an alliance—under their terms, of course."

Xuian's expression darkened. "Alliance? Or subjugation?"

Velkar chuckled. "Call it what you will. The Council offers protection and access to their vast network of resources. In return, you'll submit a portion of your domains and wealth to them."

Defiance

Xuian's reply was immediate. "I don't submit to anyone."

Velkar's smile faded, his eyes narrowing. "You would refuse the Council's offer? Do you understand the consequences of your defiance?"

Xuian's aura flared, a mixture of spectral shadows and fiery embers. "The only consequence here is your audacity to come into my domain and demand submission. Leave now, or you'll regret it."

Velkar's form flickered as if deciding whether to retaliate. Finally, he stepped back into the dimensional distortion. "You've made your choice, Xuian. The Council doesn't take rejection lightly. Prepare for what's to come."

As Velkar disappeared, Xuian turned to his lieutenants. "The Council will come for us eventually. Start fortifying all dimensional gates. We'll need to be ready for anything."

Unleashing the Infernal Forces

Using the resources gathered from the Infernal Abyss, Xuian began summoning loyal infernal entities.

[System Notification]

Entities Summoned: 5 Infernal Reavers (A Rank): Agile melee combatants wreathed in flames. 3 Flame Archers (A Rank): Long-range units specializing in fiery projectiles. 1 Infernal Behemoth (S Rank): A massive, tank-like creature with devastating power.

The Infernal Reavers materialized, their fiery blades gleaming in the dim light. The Flame Archers stood at the ready, their bows strung with arrows of molten fire. The Infernal Behemoth roared as it emerged, its colossal form shaking the ground.

The Frost Wraith leader approached Xuian, his icy form contrasting with the infernal creatures. "Master, integrating infernal forces into our ranks strengthens us significantly. But the Revenant Council is not to be underestimated. They wield powers that rival the gods themselves."

Xuian smirked. "Then we'll just have to prove we're worthy of standing among gods."

Preparing for War

The Infernal Abyss buzzed with activity as Xuian's forces expanded. Frost and fire worked together in an unlikely alliance, crafting traps, reinforcing citadels, and training for the inevitable clash with the Revenant Council.

Xuian stood at the heart of his new citadel, his gaze fixed on the growing dimensional web in his system interface. Each link represented a conquered dimension, each node a stepping stone toward ultimate power.

"The Council made a mistake sending that envoy," Xuian said to himself. "Now they've earned my full attention."

He turned to the Void Wolf Pup, which had grown larger and fiercer after the recent battles. "We've only just begun."
