Chapter 29: Clash of the Warlords

The air crackled with energy as the four Revenant Warlords descended into the Crestfall Domain. Their presence alone sent tremors through the land, warping the sky into swirling chaos.

Xuian stood firm at the center of his forces, his Celestial-Abyssal energy radiating an oppressive pressure that matched theirs. His commanders flanked him, each prepared for battle.

Arvok tightened his spectral grip on his blade. "They sent their best… perfect."

Lysara's frost-covered spear glowed with icy mist. "We hold our ground and push them back. No hesitation."

Karthos cracked his knuckles, flames flickering around his fists. "No problem. I was getting bored anyway."

Xuian smirked, raising his Celestial Ember Blade, its dark and golden glow illuminating the battlefield. "Let's give them a warm welcome."

The First Strike

Without warning, Garron, the Bone Tyrant, charged forward. The sheer force of his movement shattered the ground beneath him, leaving a trail of destruction in his wake.

Xuian met him head-on, their clash sending shockwaves across the battlefield.

BOOM!

Garron's massive fists came down like meteors, but Xuian twisted midair, dodging with ease before slashing across the warlord's armor. Sparks flew, and a deep cut appeared on Garron's side.

The warlord grunted. "Not bad. But let's see how long you last."

Velra hovered above, her hands weaving intricate symbols in the air. Dark energy surged as spectral chains lashed out, aiming to bind Xuian's movements.

Liriel, standing on a floating platform, countered with a wave of purification magic, dispersing the chains before they could take hold.

Velra's smirk widened. "Interesting… you're more troublesome than I expected."

Xuian flicked his sword, sending a pulse of energy toward Velra, forcing her to evade. He glanced toward the right—Silas had vanished.

"Tch." Xuian's instincts flared. He barely dodged as a thin, near-invisible blade whizzed past his neck.

Silas's voice came from the shadows. "Close."

Xuian clicked his tongue. "Annoying."

Before he could react, a bright light surged toward him—Astra. Her spear radiated celestial energy as she thrust it forward.

Xuian raised his blade to block, but the impact sent him skidding backward.

Astra's golden eyes burned with divine energy. "I see why you're feared. But it ends here."

Xuian smirked. "That so?"

A Battle on All Fronts

All across the battlefield, Xuian's forces clashed with the Revenant Warlords' power.

Arvok vs. Garron – The Phantom Knight and Bone Tyrant engaged in a brutal melee, each strike shaking the ground. Lysara vs. Velra – Ice met spirit magic in a battle of control and precision. Karthos vs. Astra – Flames clashed with divine light, neither side giving ground. Xuian vs. Silas – A battle in the shadows, both moving at speeds too fast for the naked eye.

The sky cracked with energy as the fight reached its peak.

Xuian, breathing steadily, analyzed the battlefield. "Time to turn this around."

He raised his hand. "Shadow Domain: Eclipse!"

Dark energy exploded outward, covering the battlefield in a shadowy mist that disrupted enemy senses. The warlords faltered for a moment—just enough time for Xuian to strike.

With a flicker, he appeared behind Silas. SLASH!

A deep cut formed across the assassin's torso. Silas staggered back, eyes narrowing. "You… learned my movements?"

Xuian's smirk deepened. "I learn fast."

Meanwhile, Arvok landed a heavy blow against Garron, sending the warlord crashing into the ground.

Lysara encased Velra in a prison of ice, sealing her movements for the moment.

Karthos unleashed a torrent of flame, forcing Astra onto the defensive.

Xuian took a deep breath. "Now… we counterattack."
