## Orli: "Who's there?!"

The four of them rushed to the door, but the hallway was empty.

# Ron: "Maybe it was just Peeves passing by."

Ron tried to reassure himself, though even he didn't sound convinced.

The next morning, when the four of them were summoned to the Headmaster's office, they finally realized who had been in the hallway the previous night.

Lucius Malfoy, with his platinum-blond hair, sat elegantly across from Dumbledore, clad in a luxurious dark robe embroidered with intricate patterns. In one hand, he held a jewel-encrusted serpent-headed cane. Standing beside him was Draco, his face smug with self-satisfaction.

The conversation in the office had clearly been ongoing for a while, as Dumbledore's piercing blue eyes shimmered with a rare and restrained fury Orli had never seen before.

# Lucius: "…I felt compelled to visit the school, particularly after receiving Draco's letter. As both a parent and a representative of the Board of Governors, it is my responsibility to take action if I find dangerous elements within Hogwarts."

Lucius withdrew a piece of parchment and placed it on the desk in front of Dumbledore.

# Lucius: "Here is a petition signed by all twelve governors. In light of Rubeus Hagrid's past misconduct fifty years ago and the potential danger he poses, we unanimously agree that he is unfit to continue as Keeper of the Keys and Grounds. He has two days to vacate the premises. Should he fail to comply, my next visit will likely include Minister Fudge, a squad of Aurors, and a dozen Dementors."

# Dumbledore: "I hope you understand, I have complete confidence in Hagrid."

Dumbledore's tone was firm, his brow furrowed.

# Lucius: "From where I stand, the safety of the students should take precedence."

Lucius's smile was cold and condescending.

# Lucius: "Since all four witnesses are present, why don't we summon Hagrid as well? Though I must admit, I'd rather not set foot in that squalid hut of his—if it can even be called a house."

# Harry: "We're not witnesses to anything!"

Harry shot an angry glare at the Malfoys.

# Lucius: "But you've already provided ample evidence of Hagrid's peculiar obsession with monsters and his connection to Moaning Myrtle's death."

Lucius idly twisted the oversized emerald ring on his finger.

# Lucius: "Regardless of how you came by this information, allow me to thank you, on behalf of the Board of Governors, Potter. And the witnesses are not limited to you four students. Whether you admit it or not, it doesn't change the facts of what Hagrid has done."

He glanced up at the portrait of Headmaster Dippet on the wall. The painted figure awkwardly turned its head away.

# Lucius: "That is the situation, Dumbledore. My visit today is merely to inform, not to negotiate."

# Hermione: "You can't just expel Hagrid like that! You don't have any real evidence. How can you convict someone based on a few words? Do you honestly believe Hagrid could be Slytherin's heir? That's ridiculous!"

Hermione's voice rang with indignation.

# Lucius: "Ah, this is Hogwarts, the school of mercy. A Mud—Muggle-born, shouting at me."

Lucius didn't even bother to glance in her direction.

# Dumbledore: "Hagrid must stay at Hogwarts. Without this place, he has nowhere else to go."

Dumbledore's voice was slow and deliberate.

# Dumbledore: "Malfoy, you're always willing to strike a deal. Name your terms, Lucius."

Lucius's lips curled into a sly smile, as if he had been waiting for this moment.

# Lucius: "Of course, the Board of Governors has no desire to antagonize you, Dumbledore. You are, after all, so 'highly esteemed.'"

He produced another document, clearly prepared in advance.

# Lucius: "If you insist on keeping Hagrid, then the Chamber of Secrets must be sealed off this term, and the monster inside dealt with. Otherwise, not only will Hagrid be removed, but you as Headmaster will also face suspension."
