Chapter 211: Stirring Things Up

When Orli poured out the first completed version of the improved potion from the cauldron, her face flushed with excitement. Yet her hands remained steady as she carefully funneled the light purple liquid into a potion bottle, drop by drop, resembling the glow of Moonlit Grass under the moonlight.

# Snape

"Well, Waters. Now comes the part I enjoy the most."

Snape suddenly smiled, but a hint of malice flickered in his eyes.

# Snape

"We need to find a werewolf to test the potion. And currently, the only werewolf we can contact is..."

## Orli

"...Professor Lupin. But…"

Orli spoke slowly, clearly reluctant to let Lupin become a test subject.

# Snape

"He's no longer your professor!"

Snape interrupted her impatiently.

In the end, Orli had no choice but to have Dryncorpse deliver the potion to Hogsmeade, along with a three-foot-long letter thoroughly explaining the possible side effects and expected outcomes of the potion. She also included several commonly used antidotes to ensure that Lupin could be treated immediately if he experienced any adverse reactions.

By the time Dryncorpse flew off, the package had grown from a small potion bottle to a large parcel. Snape stood nearby, watching her bustle around with a cold smile, as if eagerly anticipating Lupin's demise from poisoning.

However, the potion needed to be taken the day before the next full moon. Even if Lupin was willing to try the new potion, they wouldn't receive any feedback until the first month after the school term began.

But both Snape and Orli greatly underestimated the significance of this improved Wolfsbane Potion to werewolves. Early the next morning, the door of the Waters' family house was pounded on loudly before Orli even finished her breakfast. She hurriedly left her toast and ran to open the door. Standing there was Lupin, his hand still poised to knock, and beside him stood Sirius Black.

# Professor Lupin

"Orli! Is everything you wrote in the letter true?"

Lupin looked extremely excited. He stepped forward, arms outstretched as if to hug Orli. But in the next moment, he was sent flying backward, as if an invisible giant's fist had struck his chest.

# Snape

"Remus Lupin, what exactly were you trying to do?"

Snape emerged from the living room, wand in hand, his face a mixture of anger and disdain.

# Sirius

"Snivellus!"

Sirius's eyes widened, as if he were seeing an apparition. But he quickly drew his wand, holding it like a sword:

# Sirius

"What are you doing in Orli's house?!"

## Orli

"Mr... Black…"

Orli swallowed back the words "Sirius."

## Orli

"I mentioned in my letter that the professor helped me improve the potion…"

# Sirius

"But you didn't say he was living in your house!"

Sirius shouted. Lupin awkwardly climbed out of the garden, brushing dirt off himself, and returned to the porch.

# Professor Lupin

"Calm down, Sirius."

He smiled somewhat sheepishly.

# Professor Lupin

"It seems it was a mistake for both of us to come together."

# Snape

"How could we expect Mr. Black to understand the basic etiquette of visiting someone? After all, the word 'manners' has never existed in his empty brain."

Snape said mockingly.

# Sirius

"You know basic etiquette?!"

Sirius glared at Snape viciously:

# Sirius

"You're actually staying at your student's house, and a young girl at that! Do you have any sense of decency or morality?!"

Snape's face turned as pale as unicorn hair. But Sirius continued his tirade:

# Sirius

"I really underestimated your despicable nature. Back when you couldn't compete with James, now you're targeting Harry's girl!"
