Around 3 PM, Tsunade walked out of the casino.
"Damn it! How can my luck be this bad?!"
"And seriously, 1 million ryo disappears so fast! Not even two hours, and it's all gone! I should've asked Danzo for more. What a rip-off!"
Muttering curses along the way, she made her way to Kushina's house.
Once there, she told Uchiha Kira everything about her visit to the Hokage's office and the negotiations regarding the medical talisman.
"I hope you don't mind. This was the best deal I could get for you," she added at the end.
"I understand! This is already good enough," Kira nodded without concern. "I expected this outcome from the start."
"No village would sit back and let a strategically valuable technology be controlled by a single person. It's inevitable they'd want to get their hands on it."
"Honestly, getting access to one jutsu from the Forbidden Scroll is more than enough for me."
After all, he already had plenty of ways to make money.
Keeping the medical talisman technology to himself wouldn't bring much beyond some privileges for the Uchiha clan and a bit of wealth. However, the downsides were much greater—he and the Uchiha would become bigger targets.
It was better to exchange it for benefits.
Plus, he was particularly interested in the Flying Thunder God Technique from the Forbidden Scroll. This was likely his only chance to obtain it; as an Uchiha, getting access through normal means was nearly impossible.
Originally, he had created the medical talisman on a whim.
But after some thought, he realized the process brought him significant gains:
Further recognition from Tsunade. Advanced study in sealing techniques. A chance to befriend Kushina. And now, the Flying Thunder God Technique.
Overall, the rewards were substantial.
Moreover, creating the medical talisman laid a solid foundation for future developments in jutsu-based talismans.
Of course, unlike the medical talisman, he had no intention of handing over those future creations.
"You've really taken one for the team! Since I'm in a good mood today, and since you're learning sealing techniques, I'll teach you a special sealing jutsu!" Tsunade said as she ruffled Kira's hair.
Before Kira could respond, Kushina, who was sitting nearby, tilted her head in curiosity.
"A sealing jutsu? Is there something even I can't teach? Wait… is it the Yin Seal?"
Tsunade snapped her fingers. "Bingo! That's the one!"
"Oh?" Kira's eyes flickered as he looked at the seal on Tsunade's forehead. "You mean the one on your forehead?"
Of course, he knew about the Yin Seal from his past life, but he had to act like he didn't.
"That's right!" Tsunade nodded as she touched the mark on her forehead.
Then, she pulled out a scroll and handed it to Kira. "Here, take a look. If there's anything you don't understand, ask me right away."
"I know your comprehension is insane, but this jutsu is dangerous. You can't afford any mistakes, so don't rush it."
After all, the Yin Seal involved the mindscape, which made it extremely risky.
"Tch!" Kushina pouted. "I have this sealing jutsu in my scroll collection too."
"Yeah, but you can't use it yet." Tsunade smirked as she poked Kushina's puffed-up cheek.
Kushina deflated, grumbling, "Excuse me for being young! I just don't have the necessary spiritual strength or willpower yet, okay?"
"Besides, I don't even need it right now."
Kushina had long wanted to learn the Yin Seal, but not for its chakra storage abilities—her Uzumaki heritage already gave her an absurd chakra reserve.
What she really cared about was the youth-preserving effect the seal granted.
She turned to Kira, concern evident in her voice. "But Kira is only three years old. Are you sure he can learn this?"
"Don't worry!" Tsunade waved her hand dismissively. "If even he can't learn it, then no one in this world can!"
"He may be a kid, but his spiritual energy is ridiculous—even stronger than mine."
Tsunade had always been curious about why Kira's spiritual strength was so high, both in quality and quantity.
But she never asked.
After all, everyone has their secrets.
"Seriously?" Kushina looked at Kira in surprise, a hint of envy in her eyes. "That's so unfair!"
"Heh!" Kira chuckled, then reassured her, "Don't worry! Once I master the technique, I'll try to simplify it so it's easier to learn."
He believed it was possible.
"Huh? Really? You can do that?" Kushina's eyes sparkled with hope.
Even Tsunade raised an eyebrow. "Are you serious? You think you can simplify this jutsu?"
"I don't see why not! Give me some time. Let me finish learning sealing techniques first, then I'll see what I can do."
Kira was genuinely excited about the Yin Seal.
He had always wanted to get it from Tsunade, and now, she handed it over willingly.
So, creating the medical talisman was the right move after all.
The Yin Seal hadn't been explained in great detail in the anime, but Kira had his own theories.
As he unsealed the scroll and studied it, his understanding deepened.
"Just as I thought. This seal is directly connected to the mindscape, or Upper Dantian. It's basically an advanced spatial sealing technique that carves out a section of the mind for storage."
"Whoever created this was a genius!"
Since it involved the mindscape, he had to be extra careful.
Instead of rushing into learning it, he planned to master sealing techniques first.
Then, he would use the Yin Seal as a foundation and integrate it with his mental cultivation method to develop a more comprehensive Upper Dantian technique.
His spiritual power and comprehension were too valuable to waste on brute-force learning.
When he finally looked up, Tsunade was watching him closely.
"So? You get it? Any questions?" she asked, eager to see if this jutsu would finally stump him.
"It's complex, but I get the general idea. There are a lot of advanced sealing concepts, so I'll study it properly after finishing my foundation."
"I see. Makes sense." Tsunade nodded approvingly. "This technique is dangerous. You're right to take your time."
She stretched, letting out a satisfied sigh. "You two keep at it. I'm exhausted! Time to rest!"
With that, she waved and headed back to her own courtyard.
