Chapter 3: Expelled from Heaven

"My God! Where did we sin? Please forgive us!"

"You have done no wrong, children," Elyon said gently, looking with a hint of helplessness at the first humans before him, who seemed on the verge of tears. He didn't quite understand why every decision he made was seen as something cruel.

Still, he stood by his choice. The Original God had already anticipated that Adam and Eve would eat the Apple. This way, humanity would begin on Earth and multiply.

This world was stranger than expected. At first, Elyon believed there were no other humans on Earth, but he was mistaken. There were indeed humans on Earth.

These humans were created by the Sumerian gods and the Egyptian gods. Elyon was initially surprised by the existence of other gods but soon gained knowledge through omniscience.

Chaos, the entity equal in power to the Original God and the creator of Greek mythology, had made an agreement with the Original God. According to this agreement, both omnipotent gods would refrain from interfering directly in the world and were forbidden from meddling with other pantheons.

Simply put, the omnipotent gods could only intervene in the universe through their own creations, giving other pantheons an opportunity.

The Sumerians had settled in Mesopotamia, in the Middle East, as history remembers. The Egyptians already controlled the land where modern Egypt stands.

The gods known as the Pantheon Gods naturally fought each other to fill the power vacuum. For now, the Sumerians and Egyptians were in a cold war, but there was still a strong Greek and Hebrew force.

The Greek Pantheon had four extremely powerful ancient gods: Gaia, Nyx, Erebus, and Eros. Unlike the Original God, Chaos had directly used its power to create these four ancient gods, inadvertently weakening itself temporarily.

Although Chaos was omnipotent, its decision to imbue the four ancient gods with its essence at the beginning left it weakened for a time. The Original God, on the other hand, chose a slower but more effective method, creating Heaven and, subsequently, four powerful archangels, though they were weaker than the four ancient gods.

Heaven might have appeared weaker than the Greek Pantheon, but it was not. Unlike Chaos, the Original God focused on giving the archangels the ability to directly use its omnipotent power.

Simply put, the angels could suddenly gain incredible strength as long as the God willed it. Uriel wielded God's Flames, Michael embodied God's physical power, Gabriel had God's sight, and Raphael possessed God's healing abilities.

A single archangel was weaker than an ancient god, but all four archangels together were strong enough to defeat all the ancient gods.

Lucifer, however, was a different beast altogether. He had the power to summon the Light of Creation directly. The Light of Creation was a destructive force akin to summoning God's very essence.

After all, God had used this light at the beginning of creation to establish Heaven and everything else. In Elyon's view, having this much power in one being was unnecessary.

In his opinion, Lucifer's power needed to be restricted to ensure obedience...

Similarly, the only way for Heaven to gain influence on Earth was for humans, namely Adam and Eve, to settle there.

This was also the Original God's plan. Adam and Eve would multiply on Earth, giving Heaven an influence there. A simple but effective plan.

Elyon surmised that the Great Flood was merely God's way of eliminating non-believers.

Chaos's laziness and apathy, the Greek gods' harm to the Earth, the weakening Sumerian gods, and the Egyptians' tireless warring had pushed God's tolerance to its limit.

If Elyon knew one thing about the Original God, it was that He was full of love. Even before reincarnating, Elyon had known God's plan.

Allow his own people to rise and curb the corrupted Golden humans created by the Greeks, the rebellious humans of the Sumerians, and the Egyptians' tireless warring humans.

It's worth noting that the current Egyptians, Greeks, and Sumerians are not the people known to the modern world. For one, the Greeks were called Golden humans. These were immortal, powerful beings created during Cronus's reign.

They were destined for extinction, followed by the Silver humans, who were tainted by Pandora's box.

The Egyptians had created humans entirely dependent on them. They lacked free will and obeyed the Pharaoh and gods like slaves.

The Sumerians, influenced by Gilgamesh, began rebelling against all gods. To be frank, Elyon was certain that God would not allow such chaos and evil to persist.

The Silver humans would be corrupted by the Greek gods, becoming indistinguishable from beasts.

The Egyptian gods would continue treating humans as slaves, and the Sumerians would struggle with their weakening gods.

Seeing this, God naturally showed mercy to those who believed in Noah during the Great Flood, but it wasn't enough. Then, God destroyed and punished the humans whose fate was already extinction.

This marked the rise of humanity in the modern world. The Original God was exceedingly merciful to humanity—so much so that Elyon felt a bit ashamed, knowing his own actions would disrupt the plan.

Elyon planned to place Adam and Eve directly in Europe, where they would quickly rise, strengthen, and establish a new order.

He had grand ideas. Smiling at the thought, Elyon looked at Adam and Eve. He grinned. "I will exile you to Rome, which will one day become the capital of an empire. There, you will start a family. This is my reward to you."

"But my God—" Eve began, startled, but before she could finish, they were teleported to Earth. Elyon smiled and turned to Metatron, who still appeared shocked.

"My Lord, what about the independent pantheons on Earth?" Metatron asked seriously. For a moment, Elyon paused and used his omniscience to understand what Metatron referred to.

At present, there was a small pantheon in Italy—the Etruscans. These gods would later merge with the Greek Pantheon and become the future Roman gods.

If it were the Original God, He would respect their domain and stay out of their territory. But Elyon was different. He didn't care and looked at Metatron.

"Tell them that if Adam, Eve, or their descendants are harmed, we will erase their existence. They will understand."

Metatron held his breath for a moment before smiling in admiration at Elyon. "I will record this, my Lord."

"Right, you were recording my words, weren't you?" Elyon said with a surprised smile. Metatron's expression faltered. "M-my Lord, that's my job! Rest assured, I work very hard!"

Seeing Metatron's reaction, Elyon laughed, then looked at the little Jesus, who was sweetly eating the apple. Smiling, he handed Jesus to Metatron.

"Congratulations, you've been promoted. From now on, you will be the Grand Protector of Jesus."

"My God..." Metatron fell silent for a moment. Overcome with emotion, tears streaming down his face, he knelt on the ground and looked at God with joy. "I'm so happy, my God! Don't worry! I'll work very hard as your guardian!"

Elyon smiled helplessly at Metatron's strange reaction, who was crying and behaving oddly. Jesus didn't say anything and climbed into Metatron's arms.

Holding Jesus as if he were a priceless artifact, Metatron smiled. Elyon then looked at him. "Do whatever Jesus wishes. You deserve some fun. You may go now."

"Don't worry, my God! We'll have so much fun!" Metatron then spread his glorious wings, trembled with excitement, and teleported away.

Left alone, Elyon looked at the now empty Eden Garden and then all of Heaven. The constant hymns of the angels echoed in his ears. It was like a mystical yet soothing symphony.

Elyon enjoyed the prayers for a moment. Suddenly, a sharp noise rang in his ears, and his peaceful expression turned into one of irritation. Listening to the sound more closely, Elyon frowned.

"My God! When I get out of here, I will destroy you! I will take your throne! Hahaha!" Hearing a manic laugh, Elyon turned his divine gaze toward Hell, specifically the Kingdom of Pride.

The moment he looked, his expression darkened as he saw Lucifer sitting atop millions of demon corpses with a wide grin.

"How strong is this crazy woman?" Elyon muttered. His face showed disgust as he noticed Lucifer licking a wound on her arm.

"Sadist and masochist."

Elyon watched Lucifer with a peculiar smile. Seeing a beautiful woman smiling as she slaughtered demons in your name was a strange sight, but Elyon simply chuckled.

"My God! My God! I'll conquer this place! Then Heaven! And then I'll make you kneel..." Lucifer whispered with a sadistic grin as she crushed another demon's head.

Elyon lost interest in watching and shifted his gaze to Archangel Michael's mind. As soon as he did, he was bombarded with overwhelming prayers.

"Work harder, worship more, work harder, give more thanks to God, work harder."

Seeing Michael's thoughts, Elyon couldn't decide whether to feel sad or amused. Then, he turned to observe Uriel's thoughts.

"I exist only for God, I live only for God, I work only for God, only for God..."

Realizing that Uriel thought of nothing but God, Elyon had a peculiar expression. He felt the archangels could use a bit more free thought.

Curious, Elyon decided to observe Gabriel's thoughts. He saw Gabriel chatting with several female angels and watched with interest.

"Now that Lucifer is gone, we've gathered to determine the most beautiful in Heaven..." Gabriel said seriously, glancing at Sariel and then at the others.

Even though they were all women, Azrael was inexplicably among them. Elyon smiled in amusement and continued watching.

"May I ask something?" A female angel raised her hand. Gabriel gestured for her to speak. The shy angel glanced at Azrael.

"I thought this was supposed to be a Women's Club meeting? Why is Azrael here?"

"Because Azrael was bored. Therefore, she will now be a special guest in our girls' club," Gabriel explained calmly, smiling. Azrael only grumbled.

"As I said earlier, I won't show my face," Azrael said irritably, crossing her arms and turning away. Ignoring Azrael, Gabriel cleared her throat. "That's beside the point. Today, we have gathered for a very important matter."

Gabriel clenched her fists with a serious expression. "The traitor Lucifer was the leader of our esteemed club from the start. Now that she's gone, she can't declare herself the most beautiful anymore..."

A moment of silence spread among the angels. Then Gabriel took a deep breath and smiled.

"Therefore, I hereby declare the new leader, the most beautiful being, is God!" Gabriel cheered, raising her fist and slamming it on the table.

Seeing the angels cheer with joy, Elyon's face showed shock, then an odd expression. Was Lucifer founding a women's club more surprising, or was Gabriel's declaration of victory?

"Now that this matter is settled, our next big topic is Azrael's true face!" Gabriel stood up and pointed at the still-pouting Azrael.

"Take off your cloak! That's an order!" Gabriel said seriously. Azrael shook her head rapidly. "That's not happening. My presence here is already wrong."

Elyon withdrew his gaze, a small smile gracing his lips. "This place is more entertaining than expected..."

After observing a few other places, Elyon decided to leave and teleported back to his throne. From there, he reclined and busied himself with playing games on his supercomputer.

"Something feels off..." Elyon murmured curiously. He thought for a moment but smiled excitedly as the game screen appeared. For now, he ignored everything else.

"Hey! Why is no one here?" The cherubim guarding the Garden of Eden searched anxiously for Adam and Eve. After searching for a while, they only found some missing apples from the Tree of Eden.

Seeing this, the cherubim cried out in panic.

"Oh no! We're doomed!"

"This was my first day on the job! How could I fail?"

Unaware of the cherubim's panic, Elyon leaned back on his throne, engrossed in his game.
