Chapter 3

You stare at Wanderer who is wrapped up in a few blankets on the couch.

Now thinking about it... Isn't Wanderer a puppet... so he wouldn't be getting cold- right? Yet... he looks and felt so human.

You slowly move towards him. His eyes open and he looks towards you. You stop walking and stare back at him.

"Just because I agreed to come in doesn't mean I want you touching me." He grumbles. You relax your eyes.

"I never realized how much of an asshole you are..." You sigh.

"You were the one who summoned me here..." He replies. "I don't know what you were expecting from me... but expect less... I'm not going to be someone's toy."

"Right..." You walk out the living room and into your room. You plop down on your bed and cover yourself with a blanket. You furrow your eyebrows and stare out the door of your room to see Wanderer sitting on your couch bundled up with his eyes closed. You slowly drift off into sleep.

You slowly open your eyes to the smell of tea. You slowly sit up and walk out your room. You see Wanderer pouring himself a cup of tea. You furrow your eyebrows in confusion.

"What are you doing?" You question. He slowly looks at you. He still has a blanket covering him.

"Making myself tea."

"Why?"

"Cause I want tea.." He slowly says glaring back at you.

"Yeah I get that... but don't you have manners? You're in my house yet you have been nothing but disrespectful."

"I didn't ask to be here... yet here I am. I guess it's not so great for the both of us... huh?" You relax your eyes and squint at him. He sits down and rubs his hands together before lifting up the mug and bringing it to his face. He takes a sip of the tea and sighing. "The tea in your cabinet is disgusting... I've tried all of them... this was the last one- and it's disgusting... your choice of tea flavors is bad-"

"I don't drink the tea... So, I wouldn't know- they were given to me. Besides- I didn't try any of them so I wouldn't know."

"Then why do you have it?"

"Because it was given to me."

He stares at you before sighing and putting the mug down.

"What kind of tea do you like?" You softly ask. He covers himself more with the blanket and takes a deep breath.

"I like my tea bitter... the more bitter the better." He replies. You reach for his mug and took a sip from it. He furrows his eyebrows and looks at you with a disgusted look on his face.

"This is bitter... awfully bitter." You gag.

"You just drank after me like some sort of peasant... do you not have any house training?" He says glaring at you. You stare at him and then sigh, placing the mug back down.

"I have a question..." You ask, slowly looking at him. He stares at you not really replying. "You said I summoned you... how did you get here exactly?" You question. He stares at you a bit and then furrows his eyebrows then relaxes his eyes.

"I don't know how to explain it- All I remember was not being able to pull myself out from the ground..."

"What do you mean?" You ask, tilting your head a bit.

"I was sinking into the ground- that's what I mean."

"Sinking into the ground?" You stare down at the mug on the table and leaning back a bit.

"And you weren't able to pull yourself out?"

"Yeah... it was like quicksand- but the floor was solid." He sighs.

"Strange..." You quietly say looking off into the distance.

"You make it seem like you had no idea- like you didn't know..."

"No- I didn't know... I had no idea I summoned you... here."

"I can tell... you don't seem like the type of person to know any kind of summoning spell..." He sighs.

"Eh? What's that supposed to mean?" You huff. Wanderer sighs and turns around and closing his eyes. You stare at him for a while before getting up and going into your room. You close the door to your room and plop down on the bed, groaning into your pillow. Your eyes relax and your mind wanders as you try to think or understand why exactly Wanderer is in your house. How did you summon him if you didn't remember doing that?

Your eyes widen and you sit up quickly, realizing something. You grab your phone from under your pillow, turning it on and tapping on the screen aggressively. You scroll through your apps trying to find the Genshin app, but you couldn't find it. You sigh in frustration as you search up the app in the app store. Once you find the app you download it. Luckily the app logo looks exactly how it did before.

After Genshin finished downloading you open it. As you wait for it to load you begin to pace back and forth in the room. You stop walking when it asks you to download it. You sigh and press accept.

Your eyes widen when the error code tells you that there is no more space. You groan in frustration and throw your phone aggressively on the bed causing it to bounce off and smack down on the ground. You yelp as you dive down to grab your phone and quickly checking your phone to see if it broke. Luckily it didn't. When you realized it didn't you sigh and lay flat on the ground.

A knock at the door makes you flinch and look towards the door, completely forgetting Wanderer was in the living room.

"Yeah?" You sigh.

"What are you doing? I can hear you jumping around in there... it's loud."

"Mind your business..." You groan.

"Do you not have any food in your house?"

"No- I don't..."

"Why? Don't you get hungry-? You are human... don't humans eat?" He questions, getting closer to the door. You slowly sit up and rub your eyes. You slowly look towards the door and relax your eyes.

"Why are you so worried about me eating? I thought you didn't care earlier..."

"That's not- Whatever..."

You listen as you hear his footsteps disappear off into the distance. You furrow your eyebrows and stare down at the ground thinking about Wanderer's needs. He's a puppet right... does he eat?  You slowly stand up and open your door, walking into the living room. Wanderer slowly looks at you with an irritated look on his face.

"The blizzard should be gone by now... So, I'm sure there is somewhere nearby that will have something we can grab to eat."

"..." He looks at you with wide eyes but then they relax quickly. It was almost like he tried to hide the fact he was happy about the idea of getting food.

After getting dressed, you put on your boots and prepare to leave. Wanderer stands beside you, watching you. You slowly stand up, staring at him.

"Do you need a Jacket...? It's cold outside."

"No... I don't need a Jacket... I will be fine."

"Are you sure?"

"Only mortals need stuff like that... I will be fine." He sighs, pushing open the front door. You felt the wind blow in through the door. The cold burned and made you shiver. Wanderer walks backwards quickly. He shivers a bit, and you can see his face getting red.

"Mr. Immortal... do you want that jacket now?" You say in a teasing way but with a serious face. He side eyes you and makes an annoyed face.

"Yeah... get the jacket..." He shivers. You grab a jacket for him and hand it to him. He stares at it with a stupid look on his face.

"What...? It's a jacket..." You slowly say.

"I'm not wearing that..."

"Why not?"

"It's girly."

"Okay? It will keep you warm... so what if it's girly." You sigh pushing the jacket towards him.

"I don't want to wear that... take yours off and let me wear that one..."

"What? No. Wear this one."

"Why not?"

"Because the one I'm wearing is expensive... so I don't feel comfortable letting you wear it." You reply. He stares at you with a blank expression on his face. He snatches the jacket from you and puts it on. You smile at him after he puts it on.

"Don't look at me like that... it's weird."

"You look cute." You softly bubble, smiling at him.

"Yeah?"

"Yeah~"

"Say that again~ go on... say it again~" He softly says, smiling at you. Your smile slowly disappears when you notice the sadist in his voice.

"Heheh... Uh... let's go." You bubble as you walk out the door. Wanderer follows behind you.

When you both get to the store, you grab a shopping cart. Wanderer stays beside you as you walk more into the store. He puts the hood of the jacket over his head.

"Do you like spicy food?" You softly ask, looking back at him while he stares off into the distance. When you realized he wasn't listening, you look forward and continue through the grocery. You stop at the aisle that has a bunch of cereal.

"Wow... The cereal is on sale..." You say smiling a bit. Wanderer furrows his eyebrows a bit as he watches you gawk at the still overpriced cereal. "It says if you buy one you get two free... which ones should we get?" You bubble, looking at Wanderer. He stares at you with a stern look in his eyes.

"Why are you asking me... you're the one that has to eat." He quietly says. Even though he was quiet you can still hear the aggravation in his voice.

"Fine... I'll get the coco puffs, fruity pebbles, and the frosted flakes... simple cereal for a start."

"What's a mash mellow?"

"Marshmallow?" You repeat.

"Yeah that, what is that?"

"Uh... I don't know how to explain that... it's like soft and yummy..."

"Oh..."

"Here I will get the lucky charms since you're looking at it..." You say grabbing the lucky charms.

Once the two of you get home, you put the groceries away while Wanderer stands in the kitchen staring at the box of lucky charms. After putting all the groceries away, you look in Wanderer's direction. He's still reading the box, completely unaware that you're staring at him.

"Do you want to eat some of that?" You softly ask. He slowly looks at you and shakes his head.

"No... here-" He calmly says handing you the box of lucky charms. You take the box and stare at him as he walks away.

GRUMBLE

He stops walking a few feet from the kitchen. He slowly turns and looks at you and you stare back at him.

"You sound hungry..." You softly say.

"What makes you say that?" He rasps.

"Your stomach exposed the fact you were hungry..."

"... I don't know what you're talking about..." He sighs and continues towards the couch. You stare at him in frustration. Why can't he just admit he's hungry...

You sigh and grab a bowl and pour the cereal in it. You walk over to Wanderer and sit down beside him. He stares at you from the corner of his eyes as you hold the bowl out towards him.

"Try some." You softly say.

"I'm not hungry."

You stare at him a bit before sighing and eating a bit of the cereal.

"Mmmm... yummy." You bubble. He looks back at you and you look back at him. "You sure you don't want any?"

"I'm sure."

You sigh and nod, placing the bowl down on the table and walking into your room. You sit down and sigh, rubbing your eyes.

Wanderer stares at the bowl of cereal on the table, frowning a bit. He slides down a bit from the couch and pulls the bowl towards him a bit. He picks up one of the marshmallows and places it in his mouth. He chews it and his eyes widen. He pulls the bowl closer towards him and begins to eat the cereal. You sit forward a bit when you hear him eating the cereal. You smile a bit as you watch him eat. You decide to leave him alone and lay down more on your bed, out of his view completely.
