Chapter 26 {Stunned}

Lennox's guards watched as Angelina drove off in a taxi. Axel was stunned by her words, feeling like he had just been slapped in the face.

"Boss, she called you crazy and said you'll drop dead," Axel said, his voice filled with disbelief.

Lennox was silent for a moment, his expression inscrutable. Then he let out a huff of laughter.

"That woman really has a way with words," he said, a hint of amusement in his voice.

Axel couldn't believe that his boss was amused by Angelina's words. It went against everything he knew about Lennox, who was always serious and stoic.

"She insulted you, boss," Axel protested.

"She called you crazy and said you'll drop dead. How can you find that funny?"

"Forget about her she only likes money," Lennox said indifferently.

Axel looked at Lennox, feeling frustrated and confused. He couldn't understand how his boss could be so calm and indifferent after being insulted.

"But she's insulting you, boss," Axel said again, trying to get through to Lennox. "She's disrespecting you and America's prince charming. Don't you care at all?"

Lennox just shrugged, a small smirk on his face.

"It doesn't matter," he said, his voice cold and emotionless.

"She's nothing but a gold digger, looking for a sugar daddy to take care of her."

Axel let out a sigh, feeling defeated. He knew that there was no point in arguing with Lennox when he got like this.

"But boss, she-" he started to say, but Lennox held up a hand, cutting him off.

"Enough," he said, his voice firm.

"I don't want to hear anything more about her. She's not worth our time or energy."

Axel fell silent, knowing that it was useless to argue. He couldn't understand how his boss could be so nonchalant about being insulted.

Angelina was unaware of what Lennox Zhevoka and his people think of her. Angelina walked out of the hospital she put on her cap and she walked inside the hospital.

Angelina walked into the hospital, feeling a sense of dread and anxiety wash over her. She adjusted her cap and looked around, trying to blend in with the other visitors.

As she walked down the hallway, she passed by a group of doctors and nurses. They were talking in hushed voices, and Angelina couldn't help but overhear their conversation.

"Did you hear about that woman who just checked herself in?" one of the nurses whispered.

The other nurses nodded, their eyes wide with curiosity.

"What's the story?" one of them asked.

"She came in claiming to have severe headaches and memory loss," the first nurse replied.

"But the doctors say she doesn't show any signs of illness or injury. They're not sure what to make of it."

Angelina thought for a moment. She looked inside and she saw a woman who looked like she was about Angelina age she closed the door and she took the woman pulse.

Angelina walked over to the woman and checked her pulse, feeling the rhythmic beat of her heart under her fingertips. The woman's pulse was strong and steady, indicating that she was physically healthy.

Angelina looked at the woman's face, taking in her appearance. She seemed to be around the same age as Angelina, with pale skin and dark circles under her eyes. She was wearing a hospital gown and looked confused and disoriented.

The nurse was taken aback by Angelina's tone and behavior. She was about to argue back, but Angelina's firm grip on the needle made her hesitate.

"Who do you think you are?" the nurse demanded, her voice shaking slightly.

"You can't just come in here and touch a patient like that!"

She then rummaged around in her backpack for a tied black cloth the size of her palm.

After that, she threw the backpack to the side.

The black cloth opened up, revealing a row of long and thin acupuncture needles.

She disinfected them.

Then, she stuck the needles in the baihui [1.vertex of head], renzhong, [2. midline above the upper lip] and neiguan [3. forearm area above the wrist].

She inserted the needles with precision and efficiency.

The nurse watched in shock and confusion as Angelina quickly and efficiently inserted the acupuncture needles into the woman's head, lip, and arm.

"What are you doing?" the nurse asked, her voice filled with a mixture of disbelief and concern.

Angelina didn't answer the nurse. Instead, she continued to focus on her work, her hands moving quickly and confidently as she placed each needle in just the right spot.

The nurse stepped back, watching as Angelina continued to work on the woman. She was completely bewildered by Angelina's actions and unsure of what to do.

Just then, a doctor walked into the room, his eyes widening as he saw Angelina treating the woman.

"What is going on here?" he demanded, his voice stern and authoritative. Angelina didn't answer him she was just cold and indifferent as she did her job.

The doctor walked up to Angelina, his expression stern and demanding.

"Who are you? And what are you doing to this patient?" he asked, his voice loud and authoritative.

Angelina didn't look up from her work. She continued to focus on the woman, adjusting the needles with a skilled and practiced hand.

"This patient has a form of amnesia," Angelina said, her voice calm and cool.

"I'm performing an acupuncture treatment to help alleviate her symptoms."

"Get out!" the doctor shouted at Angelina who didn't answer him she kept on doing her work. Soon enough the doctor for this patient called

the security guards rushed into the room, ready to forcibly remove Angelina. But as they approached, Angelina quickly threw some needles at them, causing them to freeze in place.

The doctor was shocked and confused, unable to understand how Angelina was able to incapacitate the guards so easily.

Meanwhile, Angelina continued to work on the woman, her hands moving with precision and skill as she adjusted the needles and monitored her vital signs.

The doctor and the nurse watched in amazement as Angelina continued to treat the woman, her hands moving with practiced ease and skill.

The security guards were still frozen in place, unable to move or speak. They looked like statues, completely immobilized by the needles that Angelina had used.

The doctor and the nurse were speechless, unsure of what to do or say. They had never seen anything like this before.

Angelina continued to work on the woman, adjusting the needles and monitoring her vital signs. She was completely focused on her task, ignoring the stunned reactions of the doctor and nurse.

After a few more minutes, Angelina finished her treatment. She removed the needles and examined the woman, checking her pulse and breathing.

Finally, she stepped back and looked at the woman, waiting for a response.
