Chapter 29 {Indifferent}

In the hospital Angelina finished doing all the paperwork she let out a sigh she grabbed a bag chip and she walked straight up and she narrowed her eyes.

"Ava, I have always treated you why are you being rude?" Shelly asked. Ava laughed.

"Auntie! No matter what you would give that ugly pig the best thing in secret, it doesn't really matter she needs to give up the rights to Watergate Medical Clinic. And I am willing to help you," Ava said.

Jessica grabbed Ava hand and fall on the ground.

"Please! Ava I beg you to help my mother!" Jessica said with tears in her hands.

"Don't beg me, you should be begging Angelina, I heard she is staying at Azure Celestial Hotel," Ava said arrogantly.

This immediately caught Parker's attention. As though he had just thought of a good idea.

"Heed your aunt's advice, Jessica. Go to Azure Celestial now and get down on your knees at the entrance, and beg Angelina to save your mother!" Parker said.

Angelina eyes and narrowed she always wondered why her father hated her so much no matter what her father hated her.

Shelly's eyes widened in surprise and confusion as she looked between Ava and Jessica.

"What are you talking about, Ava?" Shelly asked, her voice filled with concern.

Ava smirked and crossed her arms, her expression filled with arrogance.

"Angelina is staying at the Azure Celestial Hotel," she repeated, a hint of smugness in her voice. "And she's the one who can help Jessica's mother."

Jessica looked up at Ava, her eyes filled with hope and desperation.

"Please, you have to help my mother," she pleaded, her voice shaking with emotion.

"Go to Azure Celestial Hotel and kneel there and beg Angelina if she is willing to give up the Watergatr Medical Clinic I am willing to ask my master to do the surgery," Ava said in a blunt manner.

"Isn't Angelina staying at Azure Celestial Hotel because she's hoping to snag a good husband there? If she doesn't want to be embarrassed, then she'll definitely agree to sign the agreement!"

"Jessica you will not go there! Parker how can you be so rude to your own daughter!" Shelly shouted and she let out a cough.

Ava just smirked and watched as Shelly scolded Parker, who looked shamefaced and embarrassed.

"Oh, Auntie, you're such a pushover," Ava said, rolling her eyes.

"Angelina is just a gold digger, anyway. She's not worth your time or energy."

Jessica looked up at her mother, her eyes filled with fear and uncertainty.

"Mama, please don't be upset," she said, her voice trembling slightly.

"I'll go to Azure Celestial Hotel and beg Angelina."

"You will not Jessica!" Shelly shouted she touched her chest and coughed out. Jessica was 22 years old.

"Jessica! Don't beg them!" Angelina's Uncle Ryan said.

Rylan suddenly yelled at the Frost Family.

"Get out of here, all of you! You're all ingrates, all of you! Shelly had given her all for her nieces, yet not a single one of you is a decent human being!"

He picked up the bouquet of flowers at his hand and threw them at Henry. When he drove the three of them out, he happened to see Angelina and he paused.

"Uncle," Angelina said.

"You are no better than them," Rylan said. Angelina was cold and indifferent toward the words she wasn't hurt.

Shelly was shocked by Rylan's sudden outburst and felt a pang of hurt in her chest.

"Rylan, please don't say that…" she said weakly.

Ryan didn't respond. He just looked at Angelina, his eyes filled with a mixture of disappointment and frustration.

"All of you are the same," he said, his voice filled with anger and sadness.

"You're all selfish and ungrateful."

Angelina just stood there, her face impassive and emotionless. She didn't say a word, but her eyes held a hint of indifference and detachment.

Shelly watched as Rylan's words hung in the air, a heavy silence settling over the room. She felt a pang of hurt and sadness in her heart, but she didn't know what to say.

Ryan sighed and shook his head, his expression filled with a mixture of sadness and resignation.

"You're all just like your parents," he said, his voice low and weary.

"Selfish and only thinking of yourselves."

He turned and left the room, leaving Shelly alone with her thoughts.

Shelly watched as Rylan walked out of the room, her heart heavy with sadness and disappointment.

"He's right…" she whispered to herself, her voice filled with a mixture of guilt and shame.

She leaned back against the pillow, her eyes closed as she took a deep breath. The weight of Rylan's words hung heavily in the air, reminding her of all the mistakes she had made and the pain she had caused her family.

The door of the ward was then shut. However, one could still vaguely hear the conversation inside

"Dad…Angel—"

"Don't speak her name! How many time has your mother helped her out! She's holding on so stubbornly to the company and just standing by as your mother dies!"

"Don't say that about Angelina. She's not doing anything because she knows it's useless even if she lets go of the company. Don't vent your anger on someone else…"

"Shelly I can't just…" Rylan said.

"Be calm."

"I don't care at all! It's just bother me she is cold and indifferent!"

Angelina, who was standing outside, could feel their helplessness and anger even through the glass windows.

"Don't you feel bad?"

Parker stood behind her.

"For the sake of a company, are you really going to disregard your aunt's life?"

Their disputes here were too loud, and it had attracted a circle of onlookers.

Angelina got the text from Dr. Johnson she will be here within a week Sunday late afternoon and the operation can be done on Tuesday. Angelina smiled that's good everything is in place now.

Angelina turned around and looked at Parker, her expression still impassive and cold.

"What do you want?" she asked, her voice flat and indifferent.

Parker looked at her, a mixture of anger and guilt on his face.

"You know what's going on," he said, his voice low and tense.

"Why don't you do anything to help Shelly?"

"Father aren't you a greedy old selfish bastard?" Angelina asked coldly and she turned always why bother with she isn't worried at all.

Nearby.

Lennox stood there with Axel. A relative had happened to be hospitalized today, so he had specially come to visit. However, he didn't expect to encounter such a situation.

"I can't believe this but her family is so shameless! But I heard from the nurse she is the one who helped Lady Winter Blackwater."

Lennox frowned.

"Check if there's anything that can be done about her aunt's illness."

This wasn't anything hard to find out. By the time they were in the car and on the way back to the hotel, he had already found out everything.

"Her condition is indeed hard to operate on. There are only two experts in the States but hard to get an appointment with them."

She'll use this as an opportunity to approach you."

When the car arrived at Hotel Finest, as luck would have it, Justin spotted Angelina getting off the cab. Additionally, when she noticed their car, she even stayed where she was and did not enter the hotel.

Was she waiting for them?

Angelina had indeed spotted them.

She didn't understand what was going on. She obviously had nothing to do with that four or five-year-old child, but she simply couldn't help but feel uncomfortable the moment she thought of him being abused by his tutors.
