Once upon a time, the underworld and the upper world were one – both were under the protection of the gods in the heavens. However, everything changed when the "Sword of Salvation", the core bond between the heavens and the earth, was stolen.

Over a millennium later, the name "Sword of Salvation" resurfaced. Every century, one chosen individual carried the sword on their back or waist. They traveled from one land to another to find the missing pieces of the sword and complete it. However, for thousands of years, no one succeeded in restoring the "Sword of Salvation" to its original state – all of them failed to restore the world.

...Until one day, the sword fell into the hands of Mariel Allvar. Would Mariel be able to restore the "Sword of Salvation" and heal the world? Or would he meet the same fate as the previous bearers of the "Sword of Salvation"?

Sword of Salvation

Although the capital city had just experienced what could be called a disaster, the life of the citizens looked much better than one would expect in such a tragedy. King Maggio and the kingdom's officials had done their jobs exceptionally well. The atmosphere in the city could be described as relatively normal.

The first place Mariel and Celinee sought was Ultores branch's HQ. As a leading mercenary organization in the world, finding their HQ was not difficult. Mariel and Celinee immediately learned the location after asking only eight people.

Like in Marzaretha, Ultores HQ in Iresvilea also consisted of three floors from the outside. The first floor was a casino; the second floor was a café; and the third floor was a bar and brothel. Mariel didn't see any hallways that would lead to a basement, so he concluded there wasn't one at this branch.
