Once upon a time, the underworld and the upper world were one – both were under the protection of the gods in the heavens. However, everything changed when the "Sword of Salvation", the core bond between the heavens and the earth, was stolen.

Over a millennium later, the name "Sword of Salvation" resurfaced. Every century, one chosen individual carried the sword on their back or waist. They traveled from one land to another to find the missing pieces of the sword and complete it. However, for thousands of years, no one succeeded in restoring the "Sword of Salvation" to its original state – all of them failed to restore the world.

...Until one day, the sword fell into the hands of Mariel Allvar. Would Mariel be able to restore the "Sword of Salvation" and heal the world? Or would he meet the same fate as the previous bearers of the "Sword of Salvation"?

"Neiracia Empire under Empress Lasyana is different from the previous Neiracia," Mariel explained. "I helped them destroy One Eye. The Empress also used my services to deal with all the nobles who tarnished the empire's name. Beyond that, the Empress recently lost her sacred scythe to a member of World Order. If any nation is willing to openly oppose Great Human Council, Neiracia Empire would be the first to do so."

"How about Your Majesty meets up with Empress Lasyana and speaks directly?" Mariel pressed, giving no room for hesitation. "As I suggested earlier, Your Majesty can start with a covert alliance. The public doesn't need to know that Mangolla has shifted its stance. If my concern turns out to be valid, Your Majesty can publicize the alliance and seek Neiracia's support. If it doesn't, Your Majesty loses nothing."
