Chapter 11: Goku's Second Transformation

Due to John's significant energy depletion from his battle with Goku, the organizers consulted with Master Roshi and extended his rest period from ten minutes to thirty minutes to ensure optimal performance in the final round.

After thirty minutes, amidst the enthusiastic applause of the spectators, John and Master Roshi stepped into the arena.

Initially, the crowd perceived Master Roshi as an old man with white hair, questioning his abilities. However, Master Roshi, disguised as Jackie Chun, demonstrated his prowess by swiftly eliminating the young and wild Yamcha and Krilin, the disciple of the Martial Arts God. This display of strength elevated Jackie Chun's status in the eyes of the audience.

On the other hand, John, the handsome young man and disciple of the Martial Arts God, had captivated the crowd's attention by fighting his way through numerous martial artists. The intense showdown between John and Goku, as martial brothers, further heightened John's popularity, rivaling that of Master Roshi.

As the two finalists entered the arena, the crowd erupted in thunderous applause, anticipating an intense and visually stunning battle. The announcer declared, "The final round officially begins!" and with the sound of a gong, John initiated the attack on Master Roshi.

After a half-hour rest, John managed to temporarily suppress the injury to his arm muscles and decided to test a more aggressive approach.

Goku and Krilin, observing from the sidelines, found John's sudden change in strategy peculiar. In previous matches, John had maintained a calm and collected demeanor, but now, in the final round, he was opting for a more aggressive approach.

Master Roshi, noticing John's unusual behavior, opted for a defensive stance, suspecting that John's mental state might be affected. However, upon engaging in combat, Master Roshi realized that John's mindset had indeed changed since his battle with Goku.

John's aura was now filled with intense ferocity, and Master Roshi could easily sense the fluctuations in his energy.

"Bang!" The two clashed again, separating and landing back on the stage. Master Roshi inquired, "What's going on? Why are you so hasty in your attacks? This is not the performance I expected from you."

John adjusted his stance and replied, "These are not your concerns. If you think you have the strength, defeat me."

Master Roshi, seeing this, didn't say much. He leaped, swinging his hand like a blade towards John. John leaned back, flipped, and kicked towards Master Roshi.

But Master Roshi had already jumped over John, stepping on his shoulder. John felt a sharp pain in his shoulder, and the injury he sustained during his battle with Goku reopened.

John endured the pain and stood up again, attacking Master Roshi once more. At this moment, Master Roshi finally realized that something was wrong with John; he had noticed that John's left arm was injured.

Both Master Roshi and John were still in the stage of warming up and testing each other's skills. It was evident that John's injury was not caused by Master Roshi, leading to the conclusion that John's injury was likely the result of his use of mind over body during his battle with Goku.

Master Roshi said, "John, your shoulder is injured. I advise you to concede. Continuing will only worsen your shoulder injury."

John shook his head and said, "Unless you knock me off the stage or I knock you off, I won't give up."

Master Roshi shook his head and said, "I admire your spirit, but I don't agree with your approach." Since that's the case, let me send you off the stage.

At that moment, Master Roshi prepared to use the Kamehameha wave, while John, due to his injured arm, was unable to use the same technique.

Just then, a full moon appeared in the sky, and upon seeing it, Goku transformed into a giant ape.

The spectators were terrified and scattered in all directions, while Goku began wreaking havoc on the Martial Arts Tournament grounds.

The sudden turn of events startled both John and Master Roshi, who were engaged in their battle. They quickly rushed to attack the giant ape that Goku had transformed into.

Yamcha shouted, "When Goku sees a full moon, he turns into a giant ape, and his weakness is his tail! If we cut off his tail, he'll return to normal!"

Hearing Yamcha's voice, Master Roshi thought to himself, "Goku's tail can grow back, but if he turns into a giant ape when he sees the moon, I'll destroy the moon to ensure my disciple never becomes a giant ape again."

Master Roshi shouted to John, "You take care of Goku, and I'll destroy the moon!"

Master Roshi then took off his shirt, channeled his energy, and transformed from a skinny old man into a muscular giant.

Understanding Master Roshi's plan, John, along with Yamcha and Krilin, worked together to restrain Goku's giant ape form.

While Yamcha and Krilin distracted Goku, John leaped onto Goku's tail and held on tightly.

The once ferocious giant ape gradually calmed down, and at that moment, a loud voice echoed from the nearby stage.

"Kame...ha...me...ha!" Master Roshi, with his flower-like hands, gathered a massive amount of energy. With all his might, he unleashed the Kamehameha wave towards the moon in the sky.

A blinding flash of light and a powerful shockwave followed, and as the dust settled, Goku's giant ape form reverted to his human state.

Recalling Master Roshi's earlier statement, the crowd couldn't help but look up at the moon. They realized that the once-full moon now had a large chunk missing, leaving a gaping hole in its surface. (In my opinion, it's unlikely that Master Roshi, with a combat power of over 100, could completely destroy the moon.)

A meteor shower ensued as countless moon fragments hurtled towards Earth.

The announcer, witnessing this, screamed, "Oh my god! Without the moon, how will we celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival by eating mooncakes and appreciating the moon? How will werewolves transform during a full moon without the moon?"

Master Roshi roared, "Shut up! Do you expect me to destroy people instead of the moon?"

After saying this, Master Roshi pointed at John and declared, "Referee, he has stepped out of the stage, so I win this match!"

Hearing Master Roshi's words, John was stunned. He looked at the stage and realized that he had indeed stepped out of the designated area while trying to stop Goku's transformation.

But Master Roshi had told me to restrain Goku! How could you do this to your own disciple? Don't you have a conscience?

The announcer, upon hearing Master Roshi's words, immediately approached John to verify his position. He then announced loudly, "I declare that John Doe has voluntarily stepped out of the stage, and Jackie Chun is the winner!"
