Chapter 3

5 years later...

My life had taken a turn for the better. Four years ago, I had stumbled and persevered, submitting fashion sketches to a renowned fashion brand. Now, I had it all, and to add to my joy, I had two handsome princes who became my source of strength—Sawyer and Asher.

These twin sons, the result of a one-night stand with a mysterious stranger, I had cared for until this day. I couldn't fathom why I chose this path, but with them, I felt secure. There was no burden in raising them, even though I still didn't know the identity of their biological father. I merely told them their father worked in space whenever they inquired.

Regret weighed heavily on me for abandoning my father in Moon Glazed Pack. Five years ago, after successfully escaping Taylor and the warriors chasing me, I found a mysterious sealed letter at my flat's doorstep. The letter revealed that my father had been punished by Alpha Drake because Taylor accused me of being a Rogue, intending to destroy Moon Glazed Pack.

Taylor had manipulated everyone to corner Dad. I was filled with deep regret and devastation at the time. I wanted to return, but I lacked the courage to face them all.

For four years, I struggled to bury my anger, and perhaps one day, I would exact revenge after I had successfully developed myself. I became a highly popular fashion designer after creating striking and fancy outfits for several musicians. One day, I was invited to a significant event hosted by renowned brands. I had prepared everything, hoping for a smooth experience and new connections.

Reality slapped me in the face when I faced Taylor, who arrived with Ennik at the event. I had no idea why they were there, but Taylor's gaze remained as hateful and wrathful as it was five years ago.

"Why is a rebellious wolf like you at this important event? You'll only ruin it! Get out!" He growled, gripping my arm tightly.

Sawyer noticed and shouted, "Let go of my mom!"

Taylor sneered, staring at me as if I were beneath him. "You ran away because you got pregnant out of wedlock—quite the tramp!"

"You rejected me! And you cheated with this shameless woman repeatedly!" I pointed angrily at Ennik.

My body heated up, restraining my wolf from impulsively transforming right then and there. A low growl made me tremble slightly, fearing that Sawyer and Asher would discover that they weren't ordinary humans.

"A lowly Omega like you isn't worthy to degrade me like that! Look at yourself, a weak omega, useless, a pack traitor!" Ennik attacked me, pushing me back.

But a large hand saved me. The strong scent of sandalwood made my heart race. My wolf, Alea, seemed to recognize the crucial signal from that scent.

"Look at yourself, lowly wolf," a commanding growl echoed, causing Ennik to shrink back and hide behind Taylor.

"This is none of your business, dud—" Taylor began to protest, but the man growled again, cutting him off.

The mysterious man stepped forward, his eyes locked onto Taylor with an intensity that demanded obedience. "Your petty pack drama ends here. She is under my protection now."

Taylor hesitated, caught between his pride and the undeniable authority exuded by the newcomer. "Who do you think you are?"

"I am Lycan of the Silver Armor Forest And this is indeed my business when it concerns the well-being of my mate," the man declared with unwavering confidence.

I stared in disbelief as he introduced himself as the Lycan of the Silver Armor Forest, Timothee Hemsworth. The only thing I knew about Timothee was his rumored power to defeat millions of hunters in an instant.

As Timothee turned to face me, it dawned on me that he was someone I had met in a bar five years ago—the Lycan who, as fate would have it, turned out to be the biological father of my twin sons.

Ennik cowered further behind Taylor, sensing the shift in power dynamics. The crowd around us began to murmur as if curious about our problem, intrigued by the unexpected confrontation.

Taylor, realizing he was outmatched, took a step back, his glare burning with resentment. "This isn't over. You can't protect her forever."

Lycan's eyes narrowed, a silent warning. "Try me."

With that, Taylor and Ennik retreated, leaving me standing in disbelief beside Lycan.

"Y-you—"

"You ran away like a deer caught stealing cucumbers. Putting yourself in jeopardy and constantly hiding," he dismissed me.

I trailed after him, signaling my twin sons to follow my lead. "Can you please—"

"You should be grateful, I saved you five years ago from him and his gang. You're too busy taking care of the world to train yourself." He growled, still walking ahead of me.

Fear and nervousness raced through my heart rapidly. I wasn't thrilled to meet him again, but a part of me was glad that my twin sons could finally meet their father.

"That night we—"

"You were sweet that night, Barbara Palvin."

"How do you know my—"

Timothee glared at me, then signaled for me to be quiet and focus on the event. Throughout the event, I became increasingly uncomfortable with the stares from Ennik.

I tried to focus, but I couldn't. Eventually, I invited Sawyer and Asher to go home early. I thought I would be free from any other problems, but I was wrong.

Taylor, follow me and squeeze my neck tightly. His eyes show anger. "You're a real traitor! You're conspiring with that d*mn wolf!"

I tried to break free but I couldn't beat him. Taylor tightened his grip.

A sinister smile playing on his lips. "You thought you could betray us and get away with it, huh?"

I struggled to respond, choking out the words, "I... I had no—"

Just as the tension reached its peak, Timothee appeared seemingly out of nowhere.

"I've said that I won't hesitate to make you cry and kneel before her if you keep trying to oppress him," Timothee's voice echoed throughout the room.

"I don't care who you are, man! This is my business and hers." Taylor spat out, and pushed me away.

Timothee laughed at Taylor's provocation. Then he said--
