Chapter 9

Mason unconditionally gifted all his assets to me.

I sat alone from midnight until dawn, cradling the bracelet he had woven with his own hands.

The private doctor, unable to bear watching any longer, approached and said to me.

"Miss Winters, you haven't slept all night. Please go upstairs and rest, or Mr. Channing's spirit will be troubled..."

As he finished speaking, he choked up, looking at me with a face full of concern.

Hearing the title "Miss Winters," I suddenly came to my senses.

Indeed, Mason and I hadn't even established a marital relationship, yet now I had become the heir to all his property.

This doctor was new and didn't understand the complex relationship between Mason and me. He naively thought I was just a poor woman who had lost her lover.

"Miss Winters, please make sure to rest well. If not for yourself, think of the child in your belly!"

Right, I still had his child.

Now that Mason was gone, I could freely decide whether to keep the child or not.
