On the day I set out for the cave, I went to pay respects to my mother.
After gently caressing her photograph, I spoke softly to her.
"Mom, your daughter has been trapped in matters of love for half her life. Now, I only wish to follow in your footsteps and dedicate myself to the nation's scientific expedition efforts. I think you would support me, wouldn't you?"
As I finished speaking, a breeze caressed my cheek - this must have been Mom's answer.
Fully equipped, I followed Dean Everhart to the cave entrance.
The moment I saw its location, I couldn't help but marvel at the peculiarity of fate.
It was precisely where we had encountered the avalanche before.
Standing above the cave and peering inside, I could faintly make out some images on the walls.
Dean Everhart secured the ropes and instructed me to descend along them.
It was a long way down before my feet touched solid ground.
