Truth behind the girl!

The flickering firelight cast long shadows on the stone walls of the dimly lit room. Kael, his back against the cold stone, sat silently as Ally stood before him, her voice a low whisper. She had warned him earlier to tread carefully around Garrick, the Alpha of Alphas. "Obey him for a while," she had said. "Wait for the right moment to strike. We need to figure out how you can escape from his clutches."

Kael's mind was elsewhere, lost in the memories of his family, of his mother's gentle touch and his father's unwavering strength. His Omega pack had once been a place of warmth and safety. Now, everything felt like a distant dream, a world forever lost to him. He could still remember his father's stern face, his mother's laughter, and the way his home had smelled of fresh pine and earth. He longed for those days, when they had all been together, before everything changed.

As Ally spoke, Kael's eyes grew distant, but he still listened. "I know you're angry, Kael," Ally continued, her voice soft but urgent. "But you can't take on Garrick just yet. He's too strong. You need to bide your time."

Kael clenched his fists, the sharp pain from his earlier wounds reminding him of the fight he had just barely survived. "How can I just wait?" His voice cracked with frustration. "They killed my father. Garrick killed my father. He's responsible for everything that's happened."

Ally nodded, her gaze filled with sorrow. "I know. But attacking him without a plan will only lead to your destruction. You need to be smarter. We need to figure out how you can escape this... this nightmare."

Before Kael could respond, a cold breeze swept through the room, and the window creaked open. A figure appeared in the darkened frame—a girl with silver eyes that gleamed in the dim light. Kael's breath caught in his throat, a mixture of anger and confusion swirling within him. Who was this girl? And why did she keep showing up?

She blinked at him, her expression apologetic. "I'm sorry," she said softly. "I don't have any other choice but to get inside."

Kael's heart skipped a beat, and for a moment, he couldn't find his voice. His gaze flickered from the girl to Ally, who stood frozen in place, watching the exchange with wide eyes.

"Who are you?" Kael's voice was cold, tinged with suspicion.

The girl hesitated, as though weighing her words carefully. "I don't know how you're going to take this," she said, her voice almost apologetic. "But before I tell you anything, can I... can I treat your wound?"

Kael shot her a sharp look. "No," he growled. "Don't waste your time on me. Just tell me what you came here for. I want to hear it now."

The girl seemed to brace herself, and with a deep breath, she spoke the truth. "Well... If you want to know it, I'm Aira. The one and only daughter of the Alpha King, Garrick."

Kael's world seemed to stop for a moment. His heart pounded in his chest, and his grip on the chair tightened. Aira? The daughter of the monster who had torn apart his pack, who had killed his father?

He surged to his feet, his eyes blazing with fury. Without thinking, he grabbed her collar, his hands shaking with rage. "So you came here to finish what your father started? To attack us, to destroy us all?" His voice trembled with anger. "If I had known who you were, I would've killed you that day."

Aira's eyes widened in surprise, but she didn't struggle against his grip. Her eyes softened, filled with something Kael couldn't quite place. Guilt? Fear? Or maybe something else entirely.

Kael's voice cracked, his eyes welling up with unshed tears. "I trusted you, Aira. I thought you were different. And now... now I don't know what to believe."

His chest heaved with the weight of his emotions. For a moment, he couldn't bring himself to look at her. He couldn't admit to himself that, despite everything, he had begun to care for her. How could he have been so stupid?

Aira took a step back, her expression pained. "Kael... please," she whispered, her voice barely audible. "I need to explain."

Kael's fury threatened to boil over, but before he could react, Ally intervened, her hand on his arm. "Kael, remember what I told you," Ally said softly. "Let her speak. Just listen."

Kael was still shaking, but he nodded slowly, unwilling to let his emotions get the better of him. He released Aira's collar, but his gaze never left her, burning with anger and confusion.

Aira took a deep breath and began to speak, her voice steady despite the weight of her words. "When I was younger, my aunt used to tell me stories about the friendship between the Alpha and the Omega," she began. "She spoke of how they were once united, how they loved each other despite everything that separated them."

Kael's eyes narrowed. What was she getting at?

Aira continued, her voice tinged with sadness. "But then, on the night of the Crimson Moon, the curse took hold. The Omega and Alpha fought, and they were torn apart. The love they had was destroyed. My aunt... she lost her destined mate that night. And after that, she was forced to marry another Alpha. But even after all that, she never forgot him. The love they shared was too powerful, even if it had been shattered. And after she gave birth to three children, she died. She couldn't live with the pain of being with the wrong mate. It was cruel, Kael. So cruel."

Aira's voice faltered for a moment, but she quickly recovered. "I came to your pack because I wanted to know if what my aunt had told me was true. If there were still people in the Omega pack who knew what love was, who knew what it meant to fight for each other. But when I arrived, all I encountered was hatred and violence. They attacked me on sight. But you... you saved me, Kael. You didn't have to. And I can't thank you enough for that."

Kael's anger flickered in his eyes, but there was something else too—something softer, something that tugged at his heart. Aira wasn't like her father. She wasn't like the others.

She continued, her voice growing more urgent. "When I returned, there was a huge discussion among the Alpha pack. They realized that if they could capture an Omega, they would gain unimaginable power. They could control everything. But they didn't care about the consequences. All they wanted was power, Kael. And I don't understand why. I don't know what they hope to accomplish, but they're willing to destroy everything to get it."

Kael's mind raced as he processed her words. The Alpha pack's thirst for power was something he had feared, but hearing it from Aira's lips made it all the more real.

"I'm sorry for your loss, Kael," Aira whispered, her silver eyes filled with regret. "But if you let me, I could help you. I know you want revenge. I know you want to make Garrick pay for what he's done. But you can't do it alone. You don't know what he's capable of."

Kael stood in silence, his fists clenched. The weight of his grief and anger pressed down on him, but Aira's words lingered in his mind. Could he trust her? Could he trust the daughter of the man who had destroyed everything he held dear?

Ally's voice broke through his thoughts. "Kael, you have to make a choice. You can't fight this battle alone. Not yet. But you can't ignore the help that's right in front of you."

Kael met Aira's gaze, his expression unreadable. The fire in his chest flickered, but the storm inside him hadn't passed.

"I'll think about it," he said, his voice a low growl. "But if you betray me, I won't hesitate to make you pay."

Aira nodded, her expression serious. "I understand. But I'm not your enemy, Kael. I'm not like them."

The tension in the room hung thick, the weight of their shared secrets pulling them closer together, even as the storm outside raged on.

The battle was far from over.
