Chapter 66

Most of the cadets watching could barely breathe. The atmosphere had become tense.

By nature, Drake wasn't a bad person, but Sasha's tone provoked him.

As he stood up, the whites of his eyes began to yellow, and his pupils turned red.

"Enough!"

Before Drake could do anything, Instructor Zephyr materialized between them.

"Miss Zima, do you think your actions are appropriate?!"

Zephyr was a large man, but Sasha didn't back down and sharply responded:

"Appropriate? Why don't you tell me how appropriate it was to organize this fight at all! You say these duels represent random threats at sea?"

Upon saying this, Sasha narrowed her eyes.

"Well then, let me tell you! Marines shouldn't place their people in random situations! It's called reconnaissance! Maybe you've never heard of it?!"When she finished, Zephyr's face darkened, and Garp nearly fell over laughing.

"Bwahaha! Old Zephyr, she got you!"

Quickly turning his head to Garp, Zephyr looked back at Sasha and said sharply, "The best plans always contain unknown elements. People are not chess pieces. If you don't understand this simple fact, miss, I think you need to reconsider who's 'confused' here."

Lowering her head and then turning away, Sasha began to nod, "Okay, that's true, but there should always be a backup plan."

Pointing with her thumb over her shoulder at the boy who was just beginning to regain consciousness, she added:

"And I AM THAT PLAN!"

When she said this, most of the cadets gasped.

It was important to understand that Zephyr was a former admiral! No cadet dared to contradict him!

Turning his head back to Drake, Zephyr again looked at Sasha and spoke with such calmness that it surprised everyone present.

"So, you're the backup plan? So, you're going to save your comrade? "But what if you lose?"

Without flinching, Sasha replied, "If I lose, I'll face the consequences!"

Nodding, Zephyr said, "Alright! Alright! Now, you will take Ricky's place! And if you lose, you will lose points for both defeats!"

If Sasha lost the fight and failed the skill tests, it would be very difficult for her to rank in the top thirty by the end of the year.

But that didn't matter. Even if she lost her place in the academy, how could she allow her friend to get hit when he was down?

When Zephyr said this, he approached Sasha and seized both her and Ricky's swords before she could react. Then he walked over to Ricky and, at first glance, roughly lifted him. But Sasha noticed that the instructor didn't harm his head or neck, he just made it look rough.

Turning back to Drake, Sasha began to confidently move forward.

Having taken more damage from her throw than from all the other hits combined, Drake was not in the mood to play.

"Razor!"

Appearing right behind her, Sasha instinctively threw her fist back, landing it directly on Drake's face, and then delivered a powerful elbow to his chest, sending him flying.

The group of cadets began speaking excitedly.

As for Sasha, she considered the honorable T-Bone her mentor. Although she knew she wasn't as noble as he was, she couldn't bring herself to hit a fallen Marine.

In terms of physical strength, Sasha wasn't as strong as Bill, who had mastered the Return of Life technique, but her strength was comparable to Rance, whose kicks could split a ship.

Getting up with a bloody nose, Drake moved confidently, and as Sasha started walking towards him, he transformed.

Seeing him take on a semi-humanoid form, Sasha didn't hesitate and quickened her pace.

Delivering a strong right hook, she hit him squarely on his massive snout.

But where she previously had the upper hand in strength, now, in his new form, they were evenly matched.

She had seen Bill and Rance fight, but when it came to a fight, she acted like a true fighter.

Relying entirely on her instincts, she was gradually overtaken to the point where it became difficult to think, let alone move.

The end came when Drake struck her with his tail. Sasha tried to grab it, but instead of lifting it, the tail wrapped around her.

Unable to move and too weak to dodge, she received a powerful punch to the face from the senior cadet using his semi-transformed strength.

Sasha didn't hear the wet crunch. The next thing she realized was that she was staring at the ceiling.

She groaned slightly and barely turned her head when Ricky instantly came into her view.

"Sasha!"

Seeing him with a broad smile, she weakly asked, "What happened?"

Shaking his head, Ricky simply said, "Don't worry. Drake's rat dung. He's just older."

Those words told her everything she needed to know. She had lost.

"What about the ranking?" she asked quietly.

Now Ricky, shaking his head more emphatically, quickly said, "It doesn't matter. We can leave here if you want. We should have stayed in the Southern Blues. Ha! Rear Admiral! What a joke."

"What about the ranking?" she repeated.

Now, not shaking his head, Ricky quietly said, "You've dropped to fiftieth place..."

Upon hearing this news, Sasha didn't scream or complain. She knew the risks and would do the same again.

Staring straight up at the ceiling, she simply said, "Alright."
