The Next morning...
*Blink-Blink*
Kael woke up and noticed the same ceiling above him.
"Hmm... So, it's all real huh ?" Kael asked as he got ready and went downstairs.
As soon as he went downstairs, kael noticed that all the maids were busy in their work and Robert was keeping an eye on all of them.
His eyes immediately started searching for Lena but couldn't find her.
"Mr. Kael... Do you have a habit of this staring into the Air thing ?" Robert asked with a straight face as he looked at Kael.
"Huh... No sir." Kael replied.
"Good then... Get to work. Go and fill your bucket with water from the well and clean the stairs." Robert ordered.
"Yes..." Kael spoke as he paid no attention to his nonsense and exited the mansion with the empty bucket.
'Where is she ?' Kael asked as he looked in the garden and noticed that Lena wasn't there as well.
As he walked upto the well... Kael noticed a maid that often worked with Lena filling her bucket.
"Hey, where is Lena ? I don't see her..." Kael asked her directly.
"Lena ? I heard that she went to see some noble cleric for her son and he kicked her out of the house, she got injured in the process and she is taking a leave.
Her son doesn't have that many days, I don't think she will ever come back for work, she will probably spend all of her time in taking care of her son in his last days." The maid spoke as she went back into the mansion.
'If her son died... My only chance to take over her will go away. I need to find her.' Kael spoke as he ran upto the maid once again.
"Wait... Wait... Can you tell me her address ?" Kael asked.
"She lives on the 7th Street, Olen road behind the apple stall." The maid replied as she inside the mansion.
"Mr. Kael, I am seeing that you haven't filled your bucket yet, do you-"
"I was coming to look for you. I need a leave..." Kael spoke as he noticed that robert was standing right outside the mansion.
"What ? You do know that for one leave, I will cut two days worth of your salary right ?" Robert asked.
"Very good... I don't really give a fuck about your money." Kael spoke ina low tone as he dropped the bucket and started running towards the exit gate of the mansion.
"What ? This- WHAT THE HELL !?" Robert was shocked to see Kael's carefree reaction as he stormed out of the gates of the mansion.
...
As Kael ran through the streets he saw many things, Commoners selling vegitables, fruits and many other things to the nobles.
Some commoner slaves carrying heavy items and moving them back and forth from shop to shop.
Some Royal guards beating a Commoner, but in the way... He noticed that no one was using magic.
'Magic is not a joke here, Commoners are completely banned from using it but Nobles aren't free to use it in public as well.
They can get fined and if any murder takes place, maybe they will have to serve some time in the Royal jail.
That's why, they can only learn magic in the academy and use it in dire situations only.' Kael thought as he reached in front of Lena's house.
It was an old style house and all the windows and gates in it were closed.
"Hello, Young man... Would you like an apple ?" The old man asked as he offered an apple to kael.
"No, I am good... Is this Lena's house ?" Kael asked with a confused expression.
"Yes, Yes... She is inside but I would suggest you not to meet her right now, she just got-"
"Let him in, Uncle..." Lena's voice came from inside.
"Okay, Okay... Here." The old man spoke as he opened the doors from outside and kael entered inside the house.
It was an old house as if passed down from generations.
"Hello, Lena..." Kael spoke as he looked at Lena with a neutral expression.
"Please have a seat, Mr. Kael. I will bring you something to drink." Lena spoke as she started walking towards the kitchen.
"Just water is fine..." Kael spoke.
...
Lena came out of the kitchen with a glass of water and placed it in front of Kael.
"Is there something that you wanted to talk about, Mr. Kael ?" Lena asked with a confused expression.
"No, I just wa-"
"Oh and here... Please take this before I forget." Lena spoke as she gave a bag of bronze coins to Kael.
"But... What about your son's medi-"
"He can't be treated, the noble cleric has told me that his disease is incurable and that he will suffer until his death.
I just want to be with him, for the rest of the time." Lena spoke as she looked at Kael and pretend to stay calm.
"What happened to your arm ?" Kael asked as he noticed the red bruise over her arm.
"Oh this ? I think the guards who kicked me out of the cleric's mansion must've grabbed my hand too tightly." Lena replied with a faint smile.
"Your son... What is he suffering from ?" Kael asked.
"The cleric said that all the veins in his body are blocked due to excessive mana exposure.
He can't use his body and he feels pain even when he is breathing. The cleric says that no one has ever recovered from this disease.
I don't know what should I do ? *Sob-Sob*" Lena spoke as tears started coming out of her eyes.
"What if... I save your son ?" Kael asked with a serious expression as he looked at Lena.
"What are you talking about ? If the cleric said that he can't-" Before Lena could've completed her sentence, Kael stood up from his chair.
'Time to bag her in...' Kael thought as a smile appeared on his face and he turned around immediately.
"Fuck the cleric... There are things powerful than the cleric in this world." Kael spoke in a dramatic tone.
"Then... Will you save my son please ?" Lena asked as she walked upto kael.
"I can but what do I get in return ?" Kael asked with a smile.
