An unknown entity had intervened to protect Haitian City. From this act alone, it was clear that the figure was likely a friend rather than a foe. But the real question remained: who exactly was this entity?
To be able to block Kyogre's Origin Pulse, this individual could not be some obscure nobody. Yet, aside from the nation's hidden powers, even Duke—despite being the president of the Trainers' Association—could not guess their identity.
But he didn't have to wonder for long.
"Grandson!"
Hearing John's exclamation of joy, Duke snapped out of his thoughts.
And then, he saw a young man appear in front of him. His features bore an uncanny resemblance to a younger version of John, the infamous "Butcher John"
"Grandson, you're not hurt, are you?"
John hurried to Julian's side, inspecting him from head to toe. Seeing that, aside from some disheveled clothes, Julian appeared unharmed, he finally let out a sigh of relief.
"I'm fine, Grandpa"
Julian reassured him with a shake of his head.
"Julian, who is that Pokémon beside you?"
Unlike John, who was solely focused on Julian, Duke immediately noticed the unfamiliar Pokémon standing next to him.
This Pokémon radiated an overwhelming sense of power—strong, incredibly strong, perhaps even on the same level as Kyogre.
Could it be the one that blocked the Origin Pulse?
It was only then that John noticed the mysterious Pokémon as well.
"We'll talk about it later"
Julian said, shaking his head. Mewtwo's presence was limited to five minutes, and two of those minutes had already passed. Time was of the essence, leaving no room for idle conversation.
Both Kyogre and Mewtwo were first-class Legendary Pokémon. In just three minutes, Mewtwo wouldn't be able to defeat Kyogre, and if the two engaged in battle, the resulting shockwaves would completely annihilate Haitian City.
Julian's goal wasn't to defeat Kyogre in three minutes but to buy enough time to resolve the crisis.

Just as Julian suspected, Kyogre's level was indeed lower than Mewtwo's.
"Who are you?"
Kyogre asked in a solemn voice, as it felt the oppressive presence emanating from Mewtwo.
This kind of pressure... it had only ever experienced it before from that Oversized Catterpie.
"It's Mewtwo," Julian said.
Duke silently committed the name to memory but found no information about Mewtwo in his mind.
What was certain, however, was that any Pokémon capable of stopping Kyogre must also be a first-class Legendary.
A new first-class Legendary had appeared—
And it seemed to have a significant connection to Julian, the grandson of John.
"You think I gave you permission to speak?"
Kyogre glared at Julian, it didn't have any goodwill for humans.
The oppressive aura of the Legendary Pokémon surged toward Julian. John moved instinctively to shield his grandson, but Duke stopped him.
"Don't be impulsive, look"
He pointed toward Mewtwo.
Mewtwo had already stepped in front of Julian, blocking Kyogre's pressure with ease.
Julian's expression turned cold, "Mewtwo, Psychic."
If he wanted Kyogre to backdown, it wouldn't be enough for Mewtwo to simply stand there. It had to understand Mewtwo's power before it would listen.
Mewtwo extended its hand toward Kyogre, unleashing an immense wave of psychic energy.
The power was so overwhelming that even Duke, himself a psychic, felt a deep, primal fear. He had never encountered such an unfathomable psychic force.
It was limitless, like an abyss.
What terrified him even more was that Julian could command such a being.
What was their relationship?
Under the effects of Psychic, Kyogre found its body immobilized, slowly levitating into the air. No matter how much it struggled, it couldn't break free from the invisible bonds holding it.
The sensation brought back haunting memories of being mercilessly overpowered by that oversized Catterpie.
"Put it down, Mewtwo," Julian said.
He had shown enough of Mewtwo's strength. Julian knew when to stop—pushing Kyogre any further could escalate into a battle, and the consequences would be catastrophic.
There were only two minutes left before Mewtwo disappeared.
As Kyogre was gently lowered back into the sea, it remained still, its defiant demeanor replaced with an unusual calm. The fear inspired by Mewtwo seemed to have struck a chord, reminding Kyogre of the terror of facing the oversized Catterpie.
It now sat obediently, looking almost… cute.
Kyogre: ( ̄︶ ̄)↗
Julian: Is this mf trying to act cute?
Shaking his head, Julian dismissed the absurd thought.
"Kyogre, I know you're here for Manaphy. I have a general idea of its location, but I'll need time to find it."
Kyogre didn't lash out this time. It had realized something—this human had a unique connection with a first-class Legendary Pokémon rivaling that oversized Catterpie.
The idea of a first-class Legendary listening to a human's command was baffling.
Kyogre: You've made us Legendary Pokémon lose all face.
The next second, Kyogre spoke seriously. "I'll give you two hours."
Julian: ...
That generous, huh?
He had only planned to ask for half an hour.
Julian hadn't expected Kyogre to offer two whole hours. It seemed Mewtwo flexing its strength had worked wonders.
"Alright, I'll find Manaphy within two hours," Julian said, nodding.
"I'll be off now."
At this point, Mewtwo had only 50 seconds left before it vanished.
Julian glanced at Mewtwo, who immediately understood. Without hesitation, Mewtwo teleported them away.
"Mewtwo, use your psychic powers to scan in that direction," Julian said, pointing toward the area where the red dot had disappeared earlier.
The red dot had briefly appeared on the Dowsing Machine, taking up nearly a third of its display, before vanishing. That had to be Manaphy.
If not… No, it must be Manaphy.
Now Dowsing Machine couldn't locate the red dot at all, likely because something was blocking the signal.
Therefore, Julian could only put his hopes on Mewtwo, a Psychic-type first-class Legendary.
With its Psychic abilities, it might be possible to find the hidden Manaphy.
Mewtwo nodded. Its psychic powers spread out like a radar, scanning in the indicated direction.
It didn't take long. In less than a second, Mewtwo had an answer for Julian.
"There's a room 500 meters underground in that direction, something in there absorbed my psychic energy."
Julian followed Mewtwo's gaze to a large estate that he had passed by earlier. At that time, he'd wondered who in Haitian City had enough money to buy so much land just to build a house.
Now, it seemed there was far more to this estate than met the eye.
