Chapter:33

The Plan in Motion

The truck thundered down the road, its headlights slicing through Gotham's murky streets.

Inside, Hirito, encased in his Black Gold armor, stood motionless, eyes sharp as he revisited Penguin's intel.

The Sbaleta Family had been rising in Gotham's underworld for a year, led by Simmons Sbaleta, a calculating tactician, and his ruthless son, John Sbaleta, their enforcer.

Their front businesses—a freight company and a bar—hid their true operations: weapons smuggling, money laundering, and human trafficking.

They had fifty armed men, many ex-military, and had recently stolen a shipment from the Penguin.

The reasons didn't matter to Hirito.

He smirked.

"I'm not here to play detective. I just want their territory."

Up front, the truck driver, a seasoned man under Penguin's payroll, flicked a switch.

"The signal jammer is online. No one in Decker Street can make calls for a while. That means no police, no backup."

Hirito nodded.

"Good. That means no witnesses."

The truck skidded to a stop in front of the Sbaleta Bar, leading thirty armed motorcycle thugs from Hogg United.

A suited guard stepped forward, hand on his pistol.

"What the hell are y—"

BANG!

A single gunshot rang out.

The guard collapsed, blood spraying the pavement.

"Someone's attacking!!!" A second guard bolted inside, screaming.

Before he could shut the door, a tattooed thug named Aman kicked it open, shielding himself with an explosion-proof riot shield while spraying bullets into the bar.

"FOR CHIDI COLE!!!"

The rest of the gang roared and stormed inside.

Inside the bar, the Spaletta Family responded instantly.

John Spaleta, a muscle-bound enforcer, grabbed his submachine gun, licking his lips.

"Dumbasses. They really think they can take us?"

Simmons Spaleta, cooler and more experienced, loaded his pistol.

"Be careful, John. If they came here, they must have someone backing them."

The Hogg United thugs were undisciplined, fighting purely on adrenaline. Spaleta's men, however, were organized and trained.

They quickly turned tables, pinning the invaders behind overturned tables with precise gunfire.

A gang member named Frank Cat shouted, "We're getting slaughtered! We should—"

BOOM!

The bar wall EXPLODED, sending debris flying.

From the smoke and rubble, a black steel behemoth strode in.

Over seven feet tall, with glowing red sensors for eyes, Black Gold towered over everyone, radiating unstoppable power.

A chill ran down the Spaletta gang's spines.

John Spaleta's grin faltered.

"The fuck is that?"

Inside the armor, Hirito smiled.

"Let's clean this place up."
